Don't Rock the Boat
I'm joining the Vestibular Disorders Association (VEDA) virtual 5k to help raise awareness about the challenges of dealing with a vestibular disorder.
I have been living with vertigo for over 15 years. When it is bothering me I feel like I am walking on the deck of a ship with ground moving up and down. When sitting I feel like I am rocking or twisting back and forth. Lying down feels like riding in a boat that moves up and down with the waves. There are days when my computer screen moves up and down. But I am one of the lucky ones who is still able to work, drive (at least most of the time) and have many good days.
I am also walking for a very good friend of mine who started having episodes of vertigo last year. She has been one of my biggest supporters and it is my turn to support her!
I am walking in the virtual 5k to help raise money for research and support.
