Welcome to Ms. Cassey Parrish's PCP
As the patient support coordinator for VEDA I take the calls that come in from many desperate patients who tell their stories about their debilitating symptoms of dizziness, imbalance and the spinning sensation of vertigo. An estimated 35% of adults experience vestibular dysfunction at some point in their lives. The symptoms can keep them from their daily tasks and cause severe depression because they can't do the things they used to. Just imagine for a moment what it would be like if you were dizzy and trying to put your key in the door, trying to cook your meals, trying to take a shower or what I sadly I hear from many mothers with a vestibular disorder, "I can't bend over to pick up my child/children because I will topple over." I think anyone would agree that this would dramatically effect the quality of your life.
Vestibular disorders are invisible to others. There is little awareness and education about them. VEDA is a non-profit organization that offers education, support to patients and referrals to specialists. VEDA lists trainings and conferences for professionals and participates in research while informing patients about current clinical trials they can participate in. VEDA offers validation to patients that cannot understand what is happening to them, publications that help teach them how to cope, manage their symptoms and regain balance in their life. It takes funds to offer these services to patients. VEDA depends on contributions to pay for the admistrative costs to support their mission. As a supporter and Ambassador for VEDA, I am raising funds that will help the organization raise awareness and assist with the financial costs to help others. I hope you will help me to help these patients. Please join me and donate to VEDA. Your donation goes directly to VEDA’s patient support and education programs. Every dollar counts (and may be tax deductible). Thank you for caring and taking the time to learn about vestibular disorders. Your support means so much to these patients and me!
