I owned a very busy florist for 27 years. I did not plan on selling it abruptly or for less than it's value. But, since there is no such thing as "sick leave" for the owner, I had no choice. I had gone to 2 different clinics for vestibular physical therapy and both therapist told me that I absolutely could not work and expect to recover. In fact, both of them refused to see me until I sold.
I manage 1 day a week teaching only - time spent standing causes rocking sensation leaving me to stumble backwards so always on guard - had the Omniac chair in Sydney that stopped the vertigo but I'm left with headaches and rocking/swaying . Over doctors having no idea how to treat this and letting you walking out with no offer to seek advise as to what your future holds - I wouldn't be surprised that there is a high percentage of suicide due these conditions!
