@mchratliff hello, which is crazy I’ve been having dizziness for the last three years ever since I had Covid. I just got diagnosed with that syndrome today. I always had hearing issues but never knew that I had a hole in my ear until now so Covid definitely caused that because I’ve had many ear surgeries and never did they find a hole in my ear when I was younger, it’s unfortunate but I’m glad they found the cause of my dizziness. Hopefully, I can have surgery soon. You get surgery?

Inflammation of the inner ear can cause dizziness and other symptoms you mentioned.
It is also important to continue to communicate with your doctor about your condition and what activities help or worsen your symptoms. The main thing is to act strictly according to the treatment plan.

I’m sorry! I agree, it’s total hell. I’m going on fourteen months, thought I was starting to feel better, and this past week I feel like I’m back to square one.

@shannonkibbe It has been 1 year later. That post was made too soon, I ended up being in bed for 3 months and could not function. A migraine from the second I woke up to the second I went to sleep, blurry vision, light sensitivity, lightheadedness, hearing sensitivity... After seeing a neurologist (MRI & CT scan), ENT, the ER, 2 Mayo Clinic doctors, and a cardiologist... everything came back fully okay. No sign of anything, which is a good thing but extremely frustrating for us long haul covid patients. I now have western doctor ptsd as they haven't been able to help once or just want to give me drugs that always make the pain worse or did nothing. I really thought it could have been POTS or an inner ear issue but neither!! Im back on the site because 1 year later... about 4 weeks ago I got a small cold and it triggered all these symptoms for me again. Though the migraines have stopped, it is now just severe lightheadedness all day everyday & the blurry/sensitive vision for 3 weeks now. It gets alot worse by walking around, making things seem dizzier. Im back doing hyperbaric oxygen treatments as thats the only thing I know can relieve me. HBOT is also the thing that healed me last year after 3 months of being bedridden.

Feeling the long haul symptoms again today over the past 3 weeks... I am back doing HBOT on my 6th treatment now, feeling a little better each day. CANNOT wait to feel normal again as it's so hard being young and having your life be busy to depressing and unfunctional the next day. Ever since I got covid its completely changed my life and health for the worse but im learning to cope. Hope this helps you guys.

how’s the sensitivity to hearing do you still have that? Was there a point where it went away? We’re you started on any medications for it or the migraines

Hello All. Since 7th September I have been suffering from rocking sensation, dizzinness, extreme fatigue. I had a ENG-VNG to discard any Neuritis, mi dx is Vestibular Migraine.

I went this week to the best Vestibular Doctor in my country, and she has told me she is seeing tons of cases like mine, of these symptoms after vaccine. She says in most cases are people with history of Vestibular Migraines (not properly diagnosticated before) that re appear after the Vaccine or MAV due to the vaccine.

Probably doing a good ENG-VNG test can help you all to discard Neuritis. My own personal theory goes for two things, one that the vaccine as the covid has something to do with some type of blood vessels inflammation, and also probably all the immune reactions plays a role in some channels that play with vestibular migraines.

This week I will start treatment and will let you know if this works. So far, COQ10 has also helped me a bit, not a big help but some help, and it is a drug somehow linked to MAV aid.

im curious to how you are doing a year later come up date this place has been a ghost town we’re assuming everyone got better…also did you score negative on your vng why VN was ruled out?

I have had this for the last 14 months. It started 8 weeks after I got over a very mild covid. Woozy, lightheaded, not spinning. It feels like a mild meningitis, there are also mild neck ache type symptoms sometimes. As well, some strange feelings in my head that aren't painful, but VERY hard to describe. Buzzy, or electrically weird. That's not even that accurate. Being motionless helps, moving around, turning my head or body or bending down and then back up really exacerbates it. Sometimes my balance seems off, like I'm falling backward but I don't ever actually fall. No brain fog at all, no cognitive nor mentation issues. My thinking is spot on. No POTS. There is also a tinnitus that gets better and worse, all these symptoms get better and worse. A few times it totally resolved, but then came roaring back. Sometimes it feels like I will fall into a coma at any moment. I also get on and off spells of palpitations/ PVC's, and when they happen they are terrifying. I'm quite certain that I will drop dead in an instant. But then they slack off. On more than one occasion I asked God to take me. Sometimes reading and scrolling cause a weird headed feeling, sometimes not. It's horribly frustrating because it won't quit. Sometimes I can't drive nor work, but usually I just push ahead and go. Social gatherings can be very challenging because I'm afraid I will pass out or drop dead so I only go out now and then. My sense is that it is a mild autoimmune meningitis/ encephalitis/ labrynthitis. I'm right on the edge of depression but refuse to succumb. It's phenomenally disheartening and if I let it, it could be disabling. Being woozy and lightheaded for 14 months is no bueno! As a Christian I place my faith in God that there is a purpose to this. That does not obviate the sheer misery of it. I no longer golf, fish, fly, ride my bike, take any alcohol, travel, I'm a mere shell of my former self. It's horrible. But every day I wake up and hope that today is the day that God will restore me...

I had my second Pfizer vaccine and was sick the day after with chills, body aches and fatigue. Days after I still felt fatigued. Then the dizziness set in, tingling in my face, hands and arms. I was so sick, I ended up in E.R.
After a brain scan, chest X-ray, blood work and Covid test, they determined I had vertigo. My blood pressure was was 83/38. (I had been for my yearly checkup right before the vaccine and my blood pressure was normal.) I was given a bag of fluids and they were about to release me and the bottom dropped to 31. I was then given another bag of fluids, and my blood pressure at that point was 82/41 and I was sent home.

Its been over a week and my blood pressure is still low (bottom is in low 40’s) I have been feeling so fatigued and tired. I wish I had not taken the vaccine. They tell you to wear a mask even after the vaccine that it helps protect you and I do if I do go out. Why not just wear the mask instead of injecting something in your body we know nothing about and has no guarantee of protecting you fully. Doctors can guess and diagnose you with vertigo, but they can’t tell you 100% it’s not caused by the vaccine because they don’t know enough about it. They don’t have the answers. They don’t know any more than you and I know…nobody knows! We don’t know what kind of side effects we will have months or years from now. Look how many are going without masks now and look at the rise in new cases and deaths!

I was diagnosed with Covid June 24th. After 2-3 weeks I was starting to feel better, but then this constant dizziness, not vertigo, came on me and hasn’t left. It’s been 2 1/2 weeks, but seems like an eternity. I have been to my primary care dr, and he says it is inner ear issues and it will leave with time. It’s so hard to take care of my kids with this issue. I’m assuming it is possible inflammation from Covid? The room doesn’t spin, and this feeling gets better when I’m sitting. When I get up moving around, my head just feels full and swimmy. Sometimes I feel like I’m swaying when I’m not. I did have a small bout of nystagmus, but that is better. I just feel off! I need relief. The doc said give it a couple more weeks, and then he will send me to an ENT. He didn’t do any scans, but was positive it was an inner ear issue. Like if I’m doing laundry and getting clothes out of the dryer and turning back and forth, I just can’t stand it. My head feels woozy, and I have to sit down and let things “settle.”
Any ideas what this could be, or anyone else gone through this? It’s making my anxiety really bad.

Hi. I have had exactly what you have described. Caught covid April 2020. Started to improve after 2 weeks then a few weeks later I developed dizziness. I’ve been seen by ENT and a neurologist that couldn’t find anything wrong. It took a year for things to get better, and luckily they have. Still not fully recovered but getting there slowly. I was also struggling to look after my kids during this time too so I totally understand. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
