Sorry you're going through this, sounds tough. The connection between your eye surgery and the dizziness seems worth looking into more. Maybe ask about vestibular migraines or PPPD if you haven’t yet, they often get overlooked. Hope you find some answers soon.

Sorry to hear about your condition—dizziness can be awful. I have Meniere’s disease, so I understand how tough it is. I hope they identify the cause soon. Stay safe, and maybe consider seeing another doctor for different tests.

Hi Arlo,

so sorry for your condition. Dizziness is the worse. I have ear disease called Menieres. I hope they can figure out what the issue or trigger is. Stay safe and maybe try another doctor who runs different testing.

So sorry to hear of these debilitating dizziness, as a patient myself I can certainly empathize with you. I think you may be on the right path of linking your eye surgery with the onset of your dizziness. Of course it will be much more helpful if you can get a correct diagnosis. Undiagnosed and unresolved woozy dizziness

My interest in writing the forum is to know if anyone can relate to or has knowledge of my debilitating symptoms. I am 75 and otherwise healthy.

About 15 years ago I started having woozy dizziness only when moving. Pretty minimal and occasional at the time, didn't start seeing doctors until a few years later when it started getting worse and having an impact on my life. Now it's to the point where it's debilitating. I've stopped driving. I've seen ENTs, otoneurologist, neurologists and others. Had MRIs. Everything ruled out.

Symptoms: lightheaded, swimmy dizziness with movement of head or body (even walking); head pressure (feels like a bowling ball inside my head that rolls in whatever direction my head moves).

Worth mentioning: around the time it began, I had eye surgery that resulted in partial double vision that has since gotten worse. It is vertical and was corrected with prisms but is now also torsional. The retinal surgeon who screwed up the muscle back then did not think that it could be the cause of my dizziness.
