Hi There,

Does anyone here have experience with TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation) or rTMS (repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation)? And if yes, did it improve or worsen your dizziness symptoms? I would love to hear details!

I have the opportunity for rTMS treatment to treat depression and the doctors are psychiatrists and have no knowledge around vestibular health issues. I live with vestibular neuritis (currently inflamed) and don’t want to inadvertently elevate its baseline presentation.

I researched online and see some people with vestibular diagnosis get rTMS to actually treat/address their dizziness specifically/directly and those studies show beneficial results. This is not what I am doing, I would be getting rTMS for depression. If my vestibular symptoms were to get relief from rTMS treatment that would be an added blessing. But I am hoping the treatment does not elevate my longterm/baseline level of dizziness. (I do VRT to treat my dizziness and it works nicely.)

Anyways, any thoughts around rTMS or TMS and dizziness would be greatly welcome. All experiences are welcome as well, I am here to learn.

Thank you

I had neck issues and some kind of muscle syndrome that hit me after antibiotics which made my neck muscles extremely tight.. 1 year later I slept in a bad position with my pillow compressing my neck and did not change the position.. When I got up I had a vertigo attack for 5-6 sec.. Then I tried to lie down again and as the pillow touched my neck (same spot) I had another vertigo that lasted for more time and from that day I am dizzy 24/7.. Off balance like I am in a boat with rough sea, I have blurry vision and a very heavy head that I can't keep up after 7-8PM..

Neck MRI showed 2 disc bulges but nothing that serious.. What can this be?

Hi
This is my third post. 11 months of vestibular/neurological problems since the Pfizer vaccine last year. It is the worst it’s ever been and I am desperate. Non stop dizziness, tinnitus, problems with eyes, dissociative feeling, brain fog, stiff neck. Not one doctor has helped me. I live in NSW Australia.
I was a life loving, healthy, happy, fit great mum before I had the Pfizer. Now I am terrified, severely depressed and all I do is cry at home and make appointments and go to appointments. My whole life is about trying to get better. My kids’ lives have been ruined because there is no trace of their beautiful happy funny Mum.
I have requested to have an MRI of the brain, see an ENT specialist, see an ophthalmologist and all of those were normal. I am angry that to get anything done, like these things, I do ALL the research and then have to ask the doctor. I’ve been to so many doctors trying to find someone to take me seriously and help me! But every single one does nothing. I have now requested to see a neurologist. Why has not one doctor recommended these things? 11 months of these neurological symptoms and not one has sent me to a neurologist, not one has sent me to a physio for vestibular problems, not one has recommended any meds I could take.
is there anyone out there who can recommend a doctor I can see who will help me?
Has anyone out there had similar symptoms and got better? Please give me hope!

My first shot of Moderna was a inconsequential but the second shot left this unsettling side effects and I am scared it won't go away. It has been 3-4 days. it started in both eyes but now it's only on the left eye but it's more frequent.

Hi I have today been diagnosed with vertical vertigo. I've been ill with headaches, neck pain, dizziness, nausea, flickering eyes and fatigue for 4 months now. Initially labyrinthitis was the diagnosed but after an MRI the damage was realised in my cervical spine. Fusion C1 to C7 with a shallow disc bulge at C7 T1. There are severe restriction of nerves at C1 C2 C4, C5. This could me I'm told as I age weakness and tingling in my arms, increased pain and dizzyness. I'm attending physio and complimentary health for de stressing the body by removal of toxins and tension. It's been such a stressful journey but now I know what is wrong with me. Looking forward to learning about this and moving forward.

Hi! I came across this site white researching dizziness. I am not officially diagnosed but I’m pretty sure this is what I have. I’m 65 years old and have always been in good health. About 6 years ago I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and began taking thyroid replacement. No problem for the next 3 years then my blood tests were showing I was swinging from hyper to hypo thyroidism so dosages were changed every 3 months. I found a new doctor who ordered a more complete thyroid panel which showed Hashimoto’s, an autoimmune disease affecting the thyroid. New meds again and a new adjustment. I have moderate hearing loss and wear glasses for distance. About 3 months ago my old doctor had me discontinue the thyroid replacement for 5 days and then retest. During that time I experienced severe dizziness and my thyroid levels went crazy. The assumption was that when I resumed taking the meds things would even out which they did a little. I got my first Covid vaccine about 2 weeks after that and within a week or so I started experiencing vertigo on a daily basis. It’s made worse when I overheat (thyroid issue) and rush. My daughter got married 3 weeks ago and it was bad because it was hot and I was busy. The feeling I have comes in waves of feeling woozy, queasy and fatigue. Recent blood tests showed my ferritin is very low so I’m taking iron supplements. Many of my symptoms can be explained by thyroid issues but I think it’s more. I’m looking for answers because I’m not getting them from my doctor. Thanks for listening.

Since my vertigo attack in January, I have been able to receive a partial diagnosis and achieved an approximation of normalcy through time and PT exercises. However, I have a strange symptom that no one has been able to explain, and I am wondering if any other patients have similar experiences. At night, after lying down for an hour or so on my right side, when I turn over to my left, there is a distinct 3-7 second sensation in the center of my head of something slowly shifting from the right to the left. It does not occur when I turn from my left to my right, only from right to left -- However, my Doctors have clearly identified my vertigo as a "left side" problem -- inner ear hypofunction, loss of hearing, diminished vision, etc. Wondering if anyone else has or has had a similar symptom?
