VeDA supports students who are working to improve care for vestibular patients by providing grants to cover travel expenses so they can present their original research at medical conferences.

Guidelines

VeDA supports students who are working to improve care for vestibular patients by providing grants to cover travel expenses so they can present their original research at medical conferences.

Eligibility

  • Must be a registered graduate student or medical resident.
  • Must be accepted to present research at a medical conference.
  • Research must support vestibular diagnostics and/or treatment.

Allowed Costs

  • Travel – e.g. airfare, train, cab/Uber, gas (economy only)
  • Accommodation
  • Not allowed: mileage, food/beverage 
  • Must submit receipts and reimbursement form.

Grant Amount

  • $500-$1,000

Number of Grants Available

  • 4-6 per year

How to Apply

  • Submit online application
  • Include proof of acceptance to present your work at the designated conference
  • Include letter of support from academic advisor
  • Submit abstract and brief personal statement about the goals of your research (500 words max)

Deadline

  • November 15th, 2018

Acknowledging VeDA

  • Must list VeDA as a sponsor (Vestibular Disorders Association– vestibular.org)
