Alyx Abel graduated from University of Puget Sound with a BS in Exercise Science. She completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree at Azusa Pacific University in 2013. After working in inpatient acute care for one year, Alyx completed an accredited Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency at Precision Rehabilitation. Alyx now works full time at Long Beach Memorial in the outpatient rehab department and has recently passed the NCS exam to become a Board Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist. Alyx is also LSVT BIG and PWR! Certified and has a passion for working with People with Parkinsons. She also greatly enjoys working with people with vestibular disorders, dizziness, and people who are falling or worried about their balance. Alyx has completed the Vestibular Rehabilitation Competency based Course as well as other courses relating to dizziness and balance. Dr. Abel is a guest lecturer at Mount Saint Mary’s University and enjoys mentoring physical therapy students.
