Amaal Popat is a bilingual (French and English) physiotherapist with clinical experience in neurology, neuro-sensory-motor processing, and ocular-motor and vestibular rehabilitation of both the peripheral and central origins. Amaal has training in vestibular rehabilitation with her most recent completed in June 2019 given by Sheelah Woodhouse (Lifemark National Director of Vestibular Rehabilitation, Advanced Certificate in Vestibular Rehabilitation, Faculty at Emory University's Gold Standard Vestibular Certificate program and Past President of the Vestibular Disorders Association). She believes that developing a treatment plan is a team effort with the client, involving a discussion on what is meaningful for the client and how they can, together, reach the clients' highest potentials.
At Lifemark Neurologic Physiotherapy, clients are seen one-to-one in a private room setting. The assessments are thorough and complete with the use of assessment goggles as needed. Assessment findings are explained and a treatment plan will be recommended. Education and research based clinical approaches are valued treatment approaches.
