In honor of National Poetry Month in April, VeDA hosts the annual Poetry-4-Balance contest.
Poetry is a powerful way to express the invisible and often misunderstood experience of living with a chronic vestibular disorder. Through metaphor, rhythm, and emotion, it gives voice to sensations that are hard to describe—like spinning, imbalance, or disconnection from the world—and helps translate that inner turmoil into something others can feel and understand. For many, it offers a sense of control, validation, and healing in a world that often fails to see their struggle.
