Vestibular Assessments in Hearing-impaired Children (9AM GMT)

Training

This online session, 9AM to 10AM GMT, will explore how the role of vestibular assessments can be used to inform the management of infants and children with hearing impairment. While traditionally hearing intervention has been the main focus on supporting an infant / child with hearing impairment, the consideration of co-concurring vestibular dysfunction has started to be internationally recognized as important consideration in the holistic management of infants and children with hearing loss. The evidence base will be reviewed, and current best practices will be discussed to help ensure safe and appropriate management decisions are made for the group of children with both hearing and vestibular dysfunction.
