From Symptoms to Solutions: Clinical Cases and Data Science in Vestibular Care

This in-person, intermediate, two-day course from Interacoustics will be held September 24-25, 2026 at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. It explores a wide array of vestibular diagnostic and treatment options using case-oriented presentations. A variety of central, peripheral, and functional cases will be presented, allowing participants to interact throughout. Content includes the latest trends in vestibular research and new technologies in vestibular diagnostics and assessment, including saccadometry, the functional vision head impulse test (fvHIT), and cervical gaze and smooth pursuit neck torsion tests.

Cases include both peripheral vestibular disorders such as BPPV and Meniere’s disease as well as central disorders such as stroke and multiple sclerosis. Attendees will learn how to:

  • Identify which vestibular tests are the most appropriate ones based on the patient history
  • Determine the site of lesion based on the review of the clinical findings
  • Determine the most likely diagnosis and be able to discuss differential diagnosis based on the history and clinical findings
  • Determine the best management options based on the patient’s final diagnosis

Intended Audience: This course is appropriate for audiologists, students, physical therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals that diagnose and treat vestibular disorders.

Educational Credits: TBD. Interacoustics is approved by the American Academy of Audiology to offer Academy CEUs for this activity.
