I have Minere's Disease, It is horrible. My poor dad has it in both of his ears. I take 3 antivirals, 1 water pill, 2 prescription antihistamine, daily for prevention of episodes, and for spins/dizziness valium, use to be on mecklazine, and for nausea Ondansetron disitergrating or just tablets or the dissintegrating Hycosymine, or both. On diet, no alchol, caffiene, low salt, not supposed to eat chocolate, etc. They may need to change your meds. Diet.
I was diagnosed in 2017, but last year was my worse so keep trying to find treatments or doctor that can help. I had to start dexamethasone inner ear injections, yep they hurt and make you spin and taste horrible, but they help if you are having several bad vertigo episodes daily, they seem to shorten them and make them less intense, and you vomit less. After 5 months I had to get a Chemical lybrynthectomy because it went next level bad. Drop attacks. wasn't alloud to work or drive for 3 months. Trying to hang in there. Been a year. Trying to avoid the surgery. Not sure of your location. I know traveling is difficult, whether you are driver or occupant.
But does sound like Meniere's but their are few other things similar to Meniere's. Good luck. Find a good doctor! ENT. and My heart goes out to you.
There is nothing in the world harder to explain than the sickness that one feels from the migraines, the head and ear pressure and fullness (Meniere's symptom), sensitivity to light, and being ubsteady all the time (no balance, especially after lybrynthectomy), I mean sometimes it is commical, I cannot carry a bowl of water for my cats, I spill it everywhere, sometimes one must laugh. other times it is down right frightening, not going to lie. Sometimes just the sudden vertigo can be scary, but the drop attacks are the most frightening thing I have ever had. I had over 20 last year fell about 16 times, the others I had while seated or lying down. Some of them you just crumple to the floor, others feel like someone hits you like a tackle, or you go down like a tree. But you have zero control. I screamed like a litte girl. OMG I still have PTSD. I drive on right side of the road, always, because I have had vertigo while driving. But if you are having drop attacks you cannot drive until they are under control. Still scared. but here if you need to talk. Meniere's is alot.... I am sorry you are going through this... please be careful and take care.
