The Dizzy Moms Club (The DMC) – Australia Chapter (Australia and New Zealand)

Details

The Dizzy Moms Club (The DMC) is an international peer-support network designed specifically for mothers managing dizziness and related symptoms stemming from diagnosed vestibular disorders like Vestibular Migraine, PPPD, Meniere’s, Vestibular Neuritis, and more. Our mission is to provide a friendly, empathetic environment where mothers can share the unique challenges of parenting while managing a chronic health condition. While the Australia Chapter primarily supports mums within Australia and New Zealand, mums from other countries are welcome to join.

Session Details:
Meetings are held monthly on the 1st Saturday of each month.

Time: 9:30 AM AEST/AEDT | 7:30 AM AWST | 9:00 AM ACST/ACDT | 11:30 AM NZST/NZDT
Duration: 60 minutes
Platform: Google Meet (Virtual): meet.google.com/bux-imyu-vda
Session Time Note: We use Melbourne, Australia (9:30am AEST/AEDT) as our global time anchor. Since local times shift twice a year for Daylight Savings, please double-check your clock before we meet. If you’re ever unsure of the time in your city, just send us a DM on Instagram or an email with your time zone and we’re happy to help you figure it out.

Our Format & Privacy
The DMC operates as a drop-in social group, offering flexibility to accommodate the demanding schedules of motherhood; there is no requirement for consistent monthly attendance. To maintain a safe and confidential space for all participants, sessions are never recorded, and the taking of photographs or screenshots is strictly prohibited. In the spirit of connection and accessibility, we encourage everyone to keep their cameras on when speaking to assist our members who rely on visual cues and lip-reading for hearing support.

Meet Your Co-Hosts
The Australia Chapter is hosted by Jessica and Connie, two dedicated volunteer mums who truly "get it."

Jessica – Lead Facilitator: A single mum of two, diagnosed with VM and PPPD in 2021. Vestibular wellness coach and therapist, and a passionate advocate for those living with vestibular disorders. Jessica strives to create a safe space where people can build confidence, resilience, and hope, as they rediscover their balance and strength.
Connie – Associate Facilitator: A mother to three grown sons who understands the challenges of living with Vestibular Neuritis and PPPD. Through lived experience offers support, community and a non-judgemental environment.
Substitute Hosts: Because we understand that vestibular symptoms (and life!) can be unpredictable, you may occasionally see a substitute co-host step in to lead a session if one of our primary hosts needs to prioritize their health or family.
