Social Share Request

VeDA invites you to submit content for us to post on our blog and share on our social media channels. By completing this form, you agree to allow VeDA to publish your content on our website. You will be attributed by name, unless you request to be anonymous. VeDA will also post a link to your blog or social media pages, if requested.

*We reserve the right to evaluate the content of posts and whether they fit with our social media strategy. Submitting a post is not a guarantee that we will share it.

TIP: To facilitate sharing, please tag VeDA (e.g., @vestibularveda on Facebook) so we can share that on our story. You can also make us a collaborator on Instagram posts.

What Type of Content Do We Usually Post?

  • Personal stories: We love to share stories from vestibular patients and healthcare providers. These need to be in a format with a central theme and a clear beginning, middle, and end. Personal diaries do not fit within our guidelines.
  • Creative work, such as poems and art related to or inspired by your vestibular disorder.
  • Coping tips/strategies – what has helped you manage your vestibular symptoms and/or live a full life despite your illness?
  • Research that is well referenced.
  • We do not promote products or services. Exceptions include offers where a portion of the proceeds goes to VeDA. (Note: We reserve the right not to link to pages that contain advertising.)
  • If you are discussing a treatment, you must include a disclaimer stating that you are presenting your own personal experience, not promoting the treatment for others. For safety, always encourage readers to consult their medical provider before making any changes to their treatment plan.
  • If you are claiming expertise in a particular area, you must state your qualifications.
  • All content must be original.
  • Please include a photo or video along with your textual content.

VEDA’S SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY

Here are a few examples of the type of content that fit within our social media strategy:

  1. Validating: Content that validates the vestibular patient experience.
  2. Educational: Content that provides factual information that has been scientifically validated.
  3. Patient stories: Original and authentic stories about people’s experiences getting diagnosed with and treated for a vestibular disorder, as well as the impact it has on their quality of life.
  4. Patient tips: What has helped you cope with your vestibular disorder?

POSTING PROCESS AND POLICIES:

  • We generally schedule posts 4-8 weeks in the future.
  • You will not be notified if/when your content will be posted.
  • VeDA retains the right to omit content from your post that is deemed inappropriate or is in conflict with VeDA policies.

We receive a large number of requests to post content, which can be time-consuming to manage. We appreciate your patience.
