@thenystagmus

This is another case of a powerful immune system creating a cytokine storm and detrimental hyper-inflammation of organs. Whether it be a vaccine we willingly take or contract covid and end up with a result like this, we'll be at risk. Roughly 16% of people that contracted covid last year had dizziness as a symptom. Some had bells palsy. Its the virus (whether dead or alive in your system) thats creating this response I believe. That being said, we barely know much about covid at all even before the vaccine. I'm likely going to refuse the second shot unless I can decipher better information prior. Its just incredibly ignorant at this point to do something that has already harmed you again just because someone says you should.

I've never had dizzy spells before, and had my first one about a week and a half after my first Moderna shot.Β
Since then, I've had two more. One was tonight, and I had to sit down on the floor to steady myself.Β
I'm getting really concerned now about getting my 2nd shot.Β
I've always been a super healthy person.Β

Please anyone here who has had the dizziness as well, let us know if it stops.Β
Hoping this is temporary.Β

I am feeling the same days after my first shot, Pfizer. I have never experienced feeling dizzy before, i couldn't explain this feeling actually. I just feel like my head is heavy and I'm seeing double, things coming near and going far in a sec. How long does this last? Should i consult a doctor?Β

Thanks!

@jasonedwarda Are you using a sound machine to sleep? I heard it helps a lot, especially with white noise and stuff.

Hiya,

Β

Yes last night I downloaded an oscillating fan white noise mp3 onto my laptop and then on my phone I was playing a YT video which is someone hoovering 🤣🤣🤣 (I cant believe it has come to this).

Β

And although I woke up after 2 hours, I managed to settle back off for another 5 and then managed another hours sleep after that.

Β

Gutted because I was supoosed to be running a 50km trail ultra marathon today, but my recent lack of sleep and my depressed and panicked state of mind meant I had to bail out.

Β

All my other symtoms have gone now, just left with this really loud tinnitus (which I think is getting worse) and the fullness of the ear sensation.

Β

From what I understand about Tinnitus you have to teach the brain to ignore it....which for me seems like an impossible task...but there are times when Im able to do that, but as soon as you remember its there...or as soon as Im in a quiet room with little to no background noise its like someone turns up the volume to 10.

Β

If I can sleep like I did last night every night then I can live with this, wont be pleasant but I can cope...its the lack of sleep that worries me as I have always struggled with sleep at the best of times.

Β

Are you finding anything works ?

After suffering for thirteen weeks straight, I am six weeks free of vertigo/dizziness. The day I cut out caffeine was the day my dizziness went. Of course, that could be coincidence as I was just over a week on new medication (half beta prograne). I had been drinking 2/3 coffees a day and now just drink decaf.Β

Β

I still experience headaches every now and again but nothing debilitating. My knee has started to give me trouble recently. It's inflamed and sore and I've never had any joint issues before. I'm young and shouldn't have this problem. Wondering does anyone else have joint issues along with the rest or is this totally separate? Thanks.Β

@jasonedwarda I have been fortunate to not suffer from tinnitus, but saw a couple of YouTube videos about it and a lot of people mentioned that the best way to deal with it at night is with a sound machine and usually loud noises help. Β If you have Spotify, it has hours long white noise which is most effective against it. Apparently fans work too. Β You should get a small fan and put it close to your bed.Β

If your tinnitus was brought on only because of the vaccine, you should be alright, it’s probably just inflammation that needs to completely go away and it May take some time.Β

There are some exercises on YouTube that may help you. Β If it’s inflammatory, sustained use of anti-inflammatory meds and foods should help as well.Β

Update:

week 4 post onset side effects of Vertigo, vomiting, dizziness, migraines, tinnitus, vision impairment. Took 600mg 3x/day ibuprofen to decrease internal inflammation for 2 weeks. Β Sought Physical Therapist to execute Epley Maneuver 3 days post onset of side effects which ceased vertigo though still had dizziness. Continued at home Epley Maneuver for 4 days 3x a day and focused on keep head level, not bending head down/up, post exercise with 3 hour minimum between each maneuver. Executed eye movement exercises for 2 solid weeks 3x/day and stopped. Today I am 85% better with slight dizziness when moving side ways or with quick head movements. I started driving again today and am confident I will not endanger other drivers. The maneuvers and time seem to be the best cure in my case. I did not visit my doctor nor did I seek specialty help beyond PT maneuvering. I am convinced time was my best medicine.Β

I'm about a month from my first shot now and I don't trust myself to drive.

I dizzyness comes and goes. Lightheadedness like I might pass out. Great thing is that I'm probably dealing with anxiety now due to all this and it's hard to know what is what.

I'm pretty mad about this vaccine. I gave into the pressure. Not getting my second one.

Doctors not helpful as usual. They all admit not knowing the effects like they might a normal vaccine.

Can someone message me about their symptoms? It would be nice to talk to other people. I don't see replies in the forums and nobody in the real world can relate so well. Most are ok.Β

@helpimdizzy

im at week 19😩 Most days I’m lightheaded all day with a few small breaks where I feel ok. I’ll be fine for a few days then it all comes back, lightheadedness, dizzy spells, headaches and sometimes vertigo. I’m short of breath, not bad but noticeable. My vision has started to get blurry along with seeing black spots. I haven’t been able to drive since I feel mildly drunk most of the time. I can’t work, if I could work from home that would be great but no such luck. I have a sore in my mouth that comes and goes throughout the day, everyday for about 4 months. Like everyone else here I’ve been through a bunch of tests. The next one is for Pots. I hope your symptoms don’t last as long as mine, most seem to get better after a couple months it seems. Good luck!!
