I had my first shot of Moderna on January 24.  Initially I just had a sore arm the next day.  But on the 12th day afterwards, I woke up and tried to get out of bed which resulted in falling backwards across the bed.  I tried a second time and again fell backwards across the bed. My head felt it was spinning terribly.  On the third try, I was able to sit up.

Since then, I have periods of Vertigo when turning over in bed or leaning my head backwards when sitting in a chair.  I have feelings of dizziness frequently when up and around - particularly if I bend down to the floor to pick something up and then stand up.

Today is my 60th day since the shot and still experience dizziness and Vertigo both. I have never before experienced these symptoms. I appreciate this forum and the opportunity to read others have indeed had similar experiences with the Covid-19 shots.

One week after having the second Moderna vaccine I had dizziness when getting out of bed.  I do not experience it except when lying prone and then getting up. My doctor ran numerous tests including EKG, glucose, blood pressure, blood workup and MRI. All were normal. This is day 20 after vaccine and I am still experiencing dizziness. I would not call it Vertigo, but  feeling of imbalance upon sitting up and then standing

4 days after my 1st Pfizer 3/12/21  I started having vertigo, tinnitus (in both ears when bad, but more often a static or hissing in left ear and never gone), nausea, and pressure left side of my head, left ear pressure and pain. And this intermittent aching sensation in left arm area where I got the shot, but it looks fine no rash, warmth or anything. First week after the shot my blood pressure was about 10 points lower both systolic and bystolic. A week to the day all this started, my blood pressure is back to normal. The severity of the vertigo, tinnitus and nausea waxes and wanes with no apparent triggers. Had the worst two days ago and spent all night jolted awake feeling like I was falling backwards every time I fell asleep and the severe vertigo with nausea.

My NP was very supportive, made appointments for me with the audiologist and ENT. She said she has people reporting dizziness, but usually only lasts a couple of days. Added however, this is all new and what they’re finding out comes from new data coming out. No past to base it on, or outcomes to predict. At this point wants to rule out any serious problems.

Daily, I am reading similar or the exact same symptoms are occurring within a few days of the first shot in so many people on this forum - some with no history vestibular issues, but the majority of those with vestibular issues. There is a smattering of articles about possible dizziness. In major media, there is nothing. I absolutely understanding the importance of getting vaccinated, for myself and others. However, considering we are all now just lab rats in one big drug trial, companies failing to report significant issues to the public is unacceptable and misleading.

Update: First Moderna Shot on 01.26, Second: 02.26. No bouts of vertigo since Shot 2. I still have intermittent bouts of dizziness and experience tinnitus daily. None of this was an issue before the vaccine. I agree with those who say that this should be made public. I don’t know how or when or if that will happen.

@kris Thank you for the update. There’s a lot of info regarding fist shot issues, but very little from people that already had those symptoms and went ahead and got the second shot.

Got first dose Pfizer today and for the last 6 hours I've felt almost exactly like I took a Codiene pill or something like that. Definitely some dizziness.

@vendel I got better! Vertigo came on 2 weeks after the 1st Pfizer shot and lasted 3 weeks. I took Ibuprofen 600 mg 2 days in a row before it resolved and that may have helped. People have said Vitamin C has helped.

@joerescenThere will be a third shot all the manufacturers are working on it now according to Bill Gates. I am not taking the 2nd. My Vertigo resolved after 3 weeks but I do not want to have to deal with it again and most likely a moire intense version based I everyones posts. Have you tried 800 mg of Ibuprofen every 6 hours to reduce the inflammation? Have you tried 1000mg of vitamin C every day?

Just reporting an update. Pressure in the left ear has subsided considerably. No further vertigo or dizziness (except some very mild instances but I'm used to living with that anyway). Have to wonder if the nasal corticosteroid has helped (?) No way to be sure. I have been wearing my hearing aids which has helped to manage the (hopefully temporary) perceived loss of hearing in the left ear. I use the word "perceived" being that my hearing test the day after the severe vertigo attack showed only minimal loss since my last test 4 years ago. Hope that everyone here feels better soon that has experienced some of these symptoms.
