I am still about the same. Not better not worse. I have not spoken to my Dr. about the 2nd shot yet which is supposed to be 4/5 but honestly I am leaning towards not. I feel like what is happening is manageable but if any worse not sure what I would do.

I received my first dose (Moderna) 3/21/20, and within minutes experienced severe dizziness. The dizziness progressed into what they are thinking was a full blown allergic reaction. I was given a shot of epinephrine and taken to the emergency room. They put me on a five day regimen of prednisone. As soon as I went off the prednisone, the dizziness came back. I wake in the morning feeling normal and within minutes I become dizzy (my vision is also messed up); I struggle with dizziness until evening when I start to feel like myself again. Today is day 7 since first vaccine.

I received my first Pfizer shot on March 5. Within 15 minutes I became extremely lightheaded and dizzy. They took me into the medic room and had me lie down at which point my other arm started tingling and hurt from my wrist to my shoulder. I was told it was an immediate allergic reaction.   After about 30 minutes it seemed to subside.  Every day for the last 3 weeks since then I have like brain fog. I just don't feel right.  About 3 days ago I started getting the same feeling of extreme lightheadedness and dizziness throughout the day and even some palpitations. I know it was from the shot but I went for a cardiogram and blood work and check-up just in case. Everything was normal.  I was scheduled for the second shot but I didn't take it. The website and my doctor said if you have any immediate reaction to the shot do not take the second one.  I have been hearing more and more of these lightheaded and brain fog reactions and I do think they should be made public. No one is taking it seriously as a definite side effect. I only hope this feeling goes away. I never had anything like this in my entire life. This feeling is really awful.

Has anyone that has received any of the new Covid Vaccines, did you experience any increased dizziness or other symptoms?

I had my second shot of Moderna on Jan.28.  One week later I took a very serious fall on Feb.4. I stood up from my sofa and was very dizzy and disoriented. I cracked a rib, broke my ankle, hit my chin on a coffee table (could not close my jaw for about 15 min. Or hear out of my left ear.). I never thought it could be connected to my shot but there is no other way to explain this. I have never had dizziness before this.  Thank you for giving me a place to share my story.

Same exact symptoms.  Only I did fall and it was a doozy.  I just posted my story so I won’t repeat. But something is going on in my brain!!

@audb I felt very similar.  The brain fog and dizziness were severe for about 2 weeks.  My PCP prescribed prednisone and and antiviral which didn’t help my tinnitus but possibly the other symptoms.

@chels8957 Yes! An extremely uncomfortable fullness it’s so hard to explain. It is so bad that’s the only thing I can concentrate on. Counter pressure helps briefly.

@aprilbread all the posts, many of us have had our vertigo resolve to a great extent. I had full blown vertigo when I got up in the morning with the room spinning for 3 weeks. Now I just have some mild dizziness and intermittent mild tinnitus. If it is caused by the vaccine the Eply maneuver will not work, if the Eply maneuver works it is not caused by the vaccine. I suggest taking 800 mg of Ibuprofen every 6 hours and see if it helps. I also suggest 1000 mg vitamin C per day.

@sarap It is very validating to hear the same kind of reactions on this forum. Because when I tell my friends who have had the vaccine with no ill effects I think they look at me as if it is all in my head!!  I will try the vitamin C as I hear from some of you that it helps.

I received my second Moderna shot on Feb. 26 and experienced mild discomfort for 1 day. No big deal. But 3 weeks later, I have been feeling dizzy. It comes and goes but is very annoying. Anyone else experience anything like that?

@thenystagmus

Hope we are going to come out of this without COVID19 vaccine long haulers issues. I keep getting progressively better, I still want to get another vaccine to improve my immunity.
What I’m not going to do is take any vaccine until the vertigo and malaise are gone.
Because of the way I reacted to the Pfizer #1, I wonder how hard COVID19 would have hit me. My sister who’s never had vertigo had COVID19 last summer, her only symptoms were vertigo, horrible headaches and mild stomach discomfort, she didn’t even have it in the nose swab but had to get the antibody test to confirm she had contacted it.
I have eye issues and my right eye is in constant inflammation due to demodex and blepharitis, I carry the HSV and take Zovirax, I also take two blood pressure medications, one of which is a diuretic. I’m probably 15-20# overweight don’t really exercise since isolation during COVID19.  I had horrible BPV 6/2021 and don’t know if I did have COVID19 because I was never tested.
Also I was under was under high stress the day I took the jab. Writing all this makes me sound like a mess, but I’m actually quite active, enjoy life, etc... I’m just being very honest about my medical history to help others and myself. I want to look at any factors that might have contributed to my immune response to the vaccine. And... I am seriously considering a second vaccine as I’m almost fully recovered, I just have occasional dizziness that’s presenting differently—my post vaccine vertigo wasn’t present when I rose up out of bed (this time it is) and it was bilateral (currently it isn’t), I also wasn’t properly hydrating the last few days, today I’m better and better hydrated. I also didn’t rest after the vaccine, didn’t properly hydrate (I felt thirst hours afterwards that I didn’t address). As well I drank a couple of glasses of wine the night before vertigo began on top of feeling thirsty. My BP medicine is a diuretic so I need to really hydrate.

Long story longer—I want to get as much immunity to COVID19, by being fully vaccinated. I’ve known of 5 people that COVID19 took their lives, two of whom I loved. I’ll take a vaccine long haulers Dx over that horrible virus any day.

@thenystagmus

i wish they (medical community) start paying attention to our complications helping us and future vaccinees

Yes! I feel somewhat bamboozled! I've never gotten the recommended flu vaccines after a friend had 6 months of reactions to one many years ago, but I thought the published reactions, for a few days, weighed in favor of getting this Covid vaccine. They do recommend seeing your doctor if your reaction is more than that, but when we do it's extremely frustrating to be met by such varying degrees of belief/disbelief of the correlation of our symptoms to recently being vaccinated. What seems to be mostly getting attention is enlarged lymph nodes that they expect to resolve by 6 weeks and more recently I see reports of a transitory metallic taste in the mouth until the person eats. I could live with those effects, but this dizziness and other issues being shared here are getting very little press but are pretty debilitating. What's worse when we go to our doctors they seem to largely be at a loss to explain, give us diagnosis, treat us effectively, or give us a timeline or even real hope that we'll improve. Guess we'll just have to hope that some influential people become effected as we are being and change this up!

Hey all,

google search brought me here as well, got my Modern vaccine on 3/21/21 and dizziness started 4 days after and has gotten worse since. Going to see my doc in 5 days, no mainstream outlet is posting about this.

my work around that seems to work for me is Taurine, Vitamin C and Ginger. For whatever reason Taurine really seems to be the game changer, vitamin c for inflammation and ginger for nausea.

good luck everyone, it’s insane that this wasn’t listed as a potential side effect. Needless to say I will not be getting my second shot under any circumstance.
