I have been suffering from a COVID vaccine injury for 7 months.  I have missed a significant amount of time from work and my quality of life is currently poor.  I have been diagnosed with a Vestibular Migraine.  The symptoms are 24/7 vertigo and daily headaches.  The majority of the specialists I have seen believe the protein spike from the vaccine caused the inflamed nerve in my vestibular region.  Some are not hopeful and feel the damage may be permanent.  No migraine nor nerve medication provides lasting relief.  I recently started acupuncture as a last resort. The Acupuncturist feels he can relieve my headaches after 6 sessions and my vertigo after 12.  I have completed 5 sessions thus far and have seen significant improvement so far.  I will report back after the 12 sessions have been completed.

Hello @tarruba. My best wishes for you. Question, have you had a VNG ENG test? Or MRI? It will help you discard any nerve damage in the vestibular system and look for a good treatment of vestibular migraines. Best wishes!

@ellen

I'm thinking that with new vaccines past and present we are and have been clinical trial participants. Fortunately this EUA has been wildly successful

We are in one hell of a “Damned if you do/damned if you don’t” situation with COVID and the vaccines. COVID is real, and so are the side effects of the jab. Here’s my story:

In January my father passed away from COVID in his PCH. He was among 9 of the 30 residents that died in the outbreak. 2 weeks later I got the first dose of Moderna. Waited the 15 minutes before leaving and pretty much at the 15 minute mark I felt light headed. The nurse attributed this to me not having eaten in the last few hours, had some banana bread, and I was good to go about 20 min later.

February 22nd rolled around and it was the day for the 2nd dose of Moderna and buckled up. About 12 hours later I had the flu symptoms commonly reported for about 24 hours and didn’t think anything of it after that.

Fast forward 2 weeks. I got extremely lethargic and stopped going to the gym. Barely had enough energy to get through a normal work day without having anything extra on my plate. Just thought it was due to some environmental influences and some stress (who doesn’t have any stress these days). Still, I just thought I was in a slump.

May 11th is a day I’ll never forget. I had some sort of episode sitting at my desk that scared the hell out of me. I had just sent an email and when I looked up to talk it over with my coworker, I couldn’t focus both eyes and felt like I was gonna hit the floor. It was like looking through a set of binoculars but having one side twisted down. Thought I was having a stroke. I went to get checked out and the EKG showed I had an inverted T Wave. I got flown out of my community (I live in an isolated location) and ended up in Ottawa at the Heart Institute. 44 years old and in decent enough shape, I thought how the heck could this happen! I had an echocardiogram and an angiogram as I was presenting blockages, but low and behold, both tests were negative.

So I was discharged because it was likely “stress”.

2 weeks later I went on summer holidays, which was not a holiday at all. The entire time I was supposed to be relaxing to get well was plagued with fatigue, brain fog, heart palpitations, vertigo, tinnitus, feelings of imminent doom, my vision seemed to close in, and of course, obvious anxiety from what was going on for no apparent reason. I went to ER’s across the province only to be chased out since my vitals were fine and I was likely having panic attacks.

So I began buying into the stress theory I had been told over and over again. But then I got a call from one of my best friends. 2 years younger than me and he nearly had all the same symptoms, and they showed up out of the blue about 3 months after the second jab. That’s when I got online and started looking into this more because I had been in denial for too long. I found this forum and I was stunned. So many people suffering through this. This is not something I wish on anyone, but I’m glad I’m not alone…. I’m relieved I’m not crazy!!

But… here I am. Constant tinnitus, lots of vertigo, my heart seems confused most days as it races for no reason, then decides to skip beats which scare the crap out of me. I don’t have any energy and regular, mundane tasks take everything out of me. I often wonder if I’m finally going to lose consciousness and have to be brought in. Hasn’t happened but I certainly don’t want it to either. The scary part is that I’ve only had one full good day in the last 2 months and my second shot was over 7 months ago… how much longer do I have to go before I start seeing improvements? I’ve started on the vitamins a lot of people suggested but it’s only been a week. That’s all I have… because none of the doctors I’ve spoken with or seen have taken my theory seriously, or have really offered anything to help these symptoms.

Just want my life back….

Hello,

I just want to share my experience, maybe it can help some of view.

First shot of vaccine in april and after a couple day I suffered from dizziness but I didn't make a relation with the vaccine. Every day was with some dizziness but not too handicaping.

Second shot in may, and it began to be more difficult every week. Dizziness, some balance problems, heavy head, night sweats. Headhache when walking, difficult to be in a supermarket or an airport. Unable to have a walk with my dog.

I have seen an ENT, had a MRI, blood analysis, eyes control, dentist, neurologist, everything was negative. And I decided to see a second ENT who told be about PPPD and vestibular rehabilitation. I began this rehabilitation early september (2 times a week) and in 3 weeks I feel really really better, I can't believe it. I can make plans again, no more dizziness, I can practise all sports. My life is almost the same as before.

This vestibular rehabilitation is in 2 parts :

1. I am on a mobile plateforme with closed eyes. The plateform is moving slowly and I have to keep balance.

2. I am on this plateforme with open eyes but in darkness and there are white dots on the walls coming from a ball facet, and I have to keep the balance with all these white dots moving vertically or horizontally.

The first time it was very tiring, but after 2 weeks it began to be less difficult.

The plateform is something like that : https://www.medicalexpo.fr/prod/framiral/product-81028-512492.html Système de rééducation équilibre - Multitest - Framiral - informatisé (medicalexpo.fr)

I live in Switzerland, don't know if it exist in another country.

Hope it can help some of you.

@pretzel Hi Pretzel. I have read so many people on other websites saying that they experienced teeth pain after the jabs particularly in teeth that had previous problems or fillings. I do paid questionnaires for a company that likes to gain data/info on behalf of clients and last month they were asking participants what vaccine they had taken and if they experienced teeth pain or dizziness afterwards and for how long! I bet it was data collection for the government or a pharmaceutical!

@loglady93 I've read many other posts on VeDa forum and other sites where women are reporting flare ups around their periods.i keep noticing flare ups when I'm feeling run down. I think it's when our bodies are going through a lot at one time? Best to try and rest as much as possible.

@qowpel Hiya. I had noticed that the skin on my hands had recently looked dry and leathery which has never happened before despite me always using sun protection and covering up when I go out due to my very fair skin. I put it down to sun exposure even though the summer has been pretty much a wash out this year in the uk. But now that you have mentioned your symptoms it does make me wonder is this another strange side effect I have Pfizer to thank for?

@myadan It's a shame that so many on this forum report that medical staff don't believe in vaccine side effects! I've been lucky in the UK that the GP, ENT, and the balance and hearing therapist I dealt with all thought my dizziness and tinnitus were a result of my body's inflammatory reaction to the AZ vaccine I had months ago. Although they have not offered any solutions or "cures" other than vestibular rehabilitation, at least they seemed to believe what I said! The ENT specialist told me he had seen many new patients with inner ear disorders after Covid infections and also after the Covid vaccines. The balance therapist said the same.

Hi there..😊😢

So im 6 days post 1st moderna, and im freaking out.

I cant think, i feel like a walking coma, i want to cry, i have feelings of dread...im actually quite scared im.not going to get better...i dont mean to trigger anyone else who is looking for hope, but im hoping there is hope out there.

Im forgetting to eat, and i love food. Im normally active, run my own business, which i love, but i cant even bring myself to go into work.

I feel depressed, but not at the same time. Ill have little windows of being myself, then bam, my head gets heavy and i cant concentrate. Was at A & E yesterday as i thought i was losing my mind, didnt know what i was doing.

I would love some reassuance of post vaccine symptom peps that have got through this.

I've been looking at this forum for awhile trying to understand what happened to me.

I really wanted to get the vaccine, go back to normal. I had very little experience with vaccines and no idea how they might react with my body, but I figured it out to be more good than bad...I thought the side effects would be exactly the ones we were told to expect.

So I do the shot. I didn't feel anything until the evening of the first Pfizer shot. Then sudden dizziness spells where everything would spin and i would not be able to stand properly, and also ears ringing. I continued to get those until I got the second shot, which oddly helped with it for a few days. I thought my symptoms were gone. They weren't. Now it was the WORTS part..... eye floaters. I have a collagen defect that creates eye floaters and I had mostly learned to live with them. But after the covid vaccine, and the vestibular problems, my eyes dont know how to compensate anymore. The eye floaters are maddening. I had surgery for them and am using drops to make them look less intrusive. I'm still struggling to see, had to find all kinds of creative ways to change computer settings so I can read. Also a sense of fatigue and confusion that comes and goes. I felt at least reasonably fine before my first shot.... I also had a high thyroid ANA, which i haven't tried to figure out yet. The eye stuff is more concerning. I think a lot o my vertigo had to do with eyes not working well together because of the floaters and dilations issues. My biggest problems all had to do with vision......only about the most important thing i need and use everyday :/

I feel ripped off and angry that I got all messed up like this for 7 months now because I was trying to do the right thing. I feel disappointed and hurt. I wanted to trust. I wanted this to be the way to a solution to COVID.

I have a few different health issues in general that i have kind of a poor understanding or, and a poor understanding of why the vaccine would screw me up.... just not really sure where to go for medical care to help fix this, or to report it

I think I'm like 7 months out from the first shot, and I got the second one too. I don't know what i will do if asked to get a booster.... something bad definitely happened to me with this shot, but its complicated to explain and nobody seems to care. I feel sad and disappointed because it seemed like there was finally a solution but it was no good for me...

Hi, the same happened to me, I had the dizziness, headaches etc after the first shot but when I had the second one my symptoms disappeared for a few days. They all came back though and that was over 4 months ago and they are still with me.

The last two weeks my dizziness and headaches have been worse than ever, whether it's because I got my eyes tested two weeks ago and got a stronger contact lens prescription, I don't know.

I know what you mean about no-one caring, my doctors are clueless, my family have mostly been fine after their shots, although there are some unexplained symptoms with them. Be assured we care here because we understand what you are going through. You will always find support here, as I have. Always here if you want to chat. I'm not getting the booster though that's for sure.

I haven't had the eye floaters since the jabs but I did have them before when my anxiety was high but they did disappear.

Some people here have recovered after several months of hell so we should be able to also. Try to stay positive, not easy I know, I have felt very low at times since this all began. Try to keep your chin up.😊🙏

Hi all, first time reader and poster. I had the astra zentica in May, since the first week I have had various forms of dizziness, swaying, spinning, brain fog, extreme fatigue, tinnitus, fuzzy head. Sorry for asking as I am slowly working my way through the 588 pages, but what is the general consensus of things people have tried that have improved the situation? All my drs have said it's coincidental and the encouraged me to have the second dose. No way and I going anywhere near a covid vaccine or booster again, even sceptical of flu jabs now. I have had vestibular issues in the past, and also have a benine acoustic neuroma. Any help or guidance of where to start looking for a resolution will be extremely gratefully received. Many thanks in advance.

Hi, yes it's daunting reading through all these pages realising how many people have been affected by these jabs. We all share similar symptoms so that just can't be a coincidence. I think the general consensus is that these jabs have caused an inflammatory response although if you continue to read through, there have been different diagnosis offered by some doctors and various treatments. Personally I am trying to treat the inflammation and trying to stick with an anti-inflammatory diet, plenty of liquids and rest. It's difficult to know what to suggest you try because you have to be careful of interactions if you currently taking other medications. Hope you feel better soon.😊🙏
