UPDATE of my previous post regarding vertigo:

My vertigo/dizziness is all but gone today. I got my second Pfizer vaccination 11 days ago.

Hang in there. You'll get better.

@markbruner did you use the epley maneuver to help with the dizziness?

I received my 2nd dose of Moderna on February 25th.  I had a fever,  chills,  extremely dizzy,  vomiting,  etc after the shot. I still haven't felt right ever since.  Today I was diagnosed with Vestibular Neuritis and both of my eyes are twitching back and forth.  I am so dizzy and almost pass out often.  The doctor told me it's not caused from the shot itself but the symptoms from the shot after.  All I know is I have felt terrible since I got the vaccine!

@b333 my 2nd shot was February 25th. I was really sick after and I am still very dizzy and fatigued. My doctor diagnosed me with vestibular neuritis today and also said that both of my eyes are twitching back and forth.  You may want to go to the doctor and get looked at.  I have never had any issues with any of this before the vaccine

Question for all:  Has anyone had burning eyes after receiving the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine - after the first or second dose?

Along with increased dizziness, my eyes started burning after the first Moderna vaccine (Feb 11).  Now, it's been 3 weeks since my second Moderna vaccine and my eyes are still burning.

My primary care physician's nurse actually had Covid and she said she felt like gasoline had been thrown in her eyes.  So, I am thinking there is definitely a connection for some of us with an inflammatory/immune response to the vaccine - as if we had Covid.

Also, I think my burning eyes indicate to me that there must be a connection with the "vestibular ocular system".  My ongoing dizziness from vestibular neuritis (from 2011) is definitely affected by visual conditions (different kinds of light and/or darkness).

Good News:  My heightened sense of dizziness after the first Moderna vaccine has pretty much abated and am now just dealing with my normal "wonky" head.

I continue to reply weekly to vsafe.cdc.gov text about ongoing symptoms but think they are probably only interested if you have experienced anaphylactic shock or some NDE!

Hope everyone's situation is improving . . . take care!

@thelma My md put me on prednisone for the inner ear pain. Severe headache and neck pain. My face swelled up on the hurting ear side. And my eye swelled up. Same side as the ear problem. Feel back to normal after 4 weeks of weird symptoms which are now all gone. I did not get my second shot today..

@kimberlyloomis I didn't get my second shot. Too many side effects. And as much research I have done the first shot we are covered anywhere from 60 to 70 percent. Or higher. Same as j&j. Hope we don't have to do this every year ..

Had my second Moderna vaccine on Feb 26th. Ever since have residual vertigo especially upon lying flat in bed and getting up. Also Tinnitus is louder with swooshing nose. My Dr said she had never heard of these side effects. Been doing Epley maneuver at home with little success. Awaiting referral to physical therapy.

I received my 1rst Moderna vaccine (3/22) and after about 1 week began feeling dizzy. It has gone on for about 4 days now with only slight nausea. Dizziness is not given as a side effect on the Moderna info sites I have visited but reading the VEBA posts it looks like it maybe. Hopefully it will let up. My next shot is April 19th.

@jpalm

I don’t think I will be getting the 2nd shot. I can “manage” my symptoms for now which have not gone away. And I agree, was just saying yesterday what if we have to do this yearly?!

Feeling more like myself today 13 days post first Moderna Vaccine. I had my wife go to the dispensary and got a live resign cartridge and it helped me get some much needed deep sleep. I’ve also made a point to eat healthier and I’ve been pounding down brussel sprouts and broccoli like my life depends on it.

these symptoms seem to come and go so I’m not holding my breathe for relief but it’s nice to be in an okay headspace for the first time in 13 days since getting the shot.

dizzy spells seem to be happening less and less and it’s mostly this terrible brain fog, out of it, fatigue feeling now. Caffeine offers no relief and seems to make it worse adding anxiety into the mix, even just from tea which is unusual for me.

I’ll be sticking my cartridge and focusing on diet and getting good quality sleep. Good luck everyone.
