@tabby I hope you are better.  I chew on fresh small slice of ginger and tumeric for my vertigo.  Also 50 mg of quick dissolve Gravol for the dizziness.

I hope it helps with the dizziness.

I got my second dose of the Pfizer vaccine March 19th. Exactly two weeks later I had an inflamed salivary gland after having a puffy eye for two days prior. I never had a salivary gland get inflamed and painful like that. Even my neck hurt. I was given an antibiotic incase there was a stone. Inflammation went down, no stone. Now I have been having dizziness in the morning multiple days in a row and sometimes throughout the day. Can’t figure it out.

Just wondering if anyone who has gotten the J and J vaccine has had these similar prolonged side effects or if we are just finding it with the mRNA vaccines? I would be curious to know so that maybe those of us with the rare side effects and dizziness could try something different in the future.

Hi Kris, I've had a similar reaction. Slightly sore arm after 1st Moderna vaccine so I thought if this is it I'm home free till the second when I was sick with a severe head and neck ache, 102 fever, body aches and chills. I was so miserable I couldn't even sleep it off. Ok I thought, I can gut through 2 days of anything just wish I had gotten the memo that probably should have taken PTO the day after the second vaccine. Then after day 3 until day 9 I felt like my body was supercharged, with tons of energy. I felt amazing. I joked with people that my body still thought the virus was present so my immune system was going crazy. The only side effect I had was a huge sore lump/lymph node, about the size of a large marble, in my arm pit of the same arm where I got the shot. Then day 10 came and it was one of the scariest experiences with my body I have ever had...it wasn't gradual, it was like this huge wave of dizziness came over me walking into work. I struggled to think or concentrate and I could barely walk straight. I was walking down the hall and my body literally veered into the wall. My blood pressure was elevated, and my doctor commented about my rapid heart rate, I'm guessing most likely because of the fight or flight mode I was in with the way I was feeling but who knows. After a few days I went on prednisone and things got a little better either because of or perhaps in spite of the steroid. I also developed tinnitus which is so annoying. For about two weeks it was pretty rough and my doctor didn't know what was causing it..talked about an MRI $$$$. Now two months later it's either a bit better or I have learned to adapt but I'm concerned it's permanent. It comes and goes in waves and visual stimuli like scrolling on my computer at work exacerbate it. I feel like I have become a Covid vaccine long-hauler. I know several other people, including my sister that this has happened to after the vaccine so I am wondering if this is a triggered response in susceptible people. I've heard talk of a Covid booster in our future and this terrifies me. Especially if the vaccine is mandated for work and travel.

Hello all,

My wife had lots of symptoms described in this forum 5 days after 1st Moderna shot, including dizziness, heavy pressure on head/eyes, weak/light headedness, near pass out for over 2 weeks, and stomach pain(1 day). She had to go ER after heavy pressure making breath harder. All tests including blood test, EKG, CT etc. came back normal. At the advice of doctor, she has used loratadine, ibuprofen but feels no obvious effect. On two occasions she took Tylenol after severe symptom feeling and had quick relief (30-60min), one was having pain/pressure at back of neck and the other terrible stomach upset. She's taking Tylenol regularly since (3-4 times a day) and feeling better especially dizziness and pressure on eyes. Now it's nearly 3 weeks and she can do normal work with minor dizziness. So I suggest to take it to see if it works as an effective over counter med.

One thing that she notices is her body temperature has dropped to levels lower than usual ever once since she started checking 2 weeks ago.

@cynthia-ryan

Hello. I have suffered with BPPV in the past and was rather freaked out last night.

I have been double vaxxed since Feb 17. I have been dehydrated and felt as though the "dizzy" spells and light headedness were due to that. Last night I had a HORRIBLE dizzy spell and had to go to bed I was so exhausted. I knew it was not BPPV as I could actually walk a bit. I drink up to a 3 quarts of water a day. After reading all the other posts, I am assured that the symptoms are due to Moderna. The last "spell" I had was in March. I'm 55 and very healthy otherwise. I feel as though I'm getting worse not better.
