Hi Audrey,

Oh my god, when I'm in smaller spaces and rooms I feel MUCH more dizzy than when I'm in open space that does not have too many things in it.  I think that's also related to the eyes.  The eyes are trying to process too many "things" in the space.  I get very dizzy in supermarkets, or in stores that have many items on shelves.

I thought about your jaw issue the other day.  There's a program for healing dizziness through a series of jaw exercises.  It's $50 for the instruction manual, but you get your money back if the program doesn't work!  If your problem is your jaw, you might want to take a look at it.  I'll include the link.  The creator, Christian Goodman, first made the program for people with jaw problems that caused snoring.  One patient also had vertigo, and the program cured her.  And then he developed a program for dizziness.  Definitely check this out!  It might work for you!!

@soniacn Hi ☺️

I don't feel dizzy in a small room if the natural light is normal (during the day. During the night, the artificial light is not a problem). And you ? Do you always feel dizzy in small rooms? (bedroom etc)

I also get dizzy in stores, but not always. And after that, I'm so tired. I think my brain is working too hard haha

Thank you for the link ! Have you tried the method? (or someone you know?)

Audrey

I can’t change my message 🙄 I wanted to add that I don't feel dizzy in a small room if the natural light is normal (during the day. During the night, the artificial light is not a problem). I mean, the fact that a room is small, doesn’t affect my dizziness. It’s really just in my boyfriends apartment.

Hmm... that's interesting!  Speaking of light, this makes me think about Vitamin D.  Did you get your vitamin D levels checked?  Mine are very low, and I heard that it can cause calcium crystals to build up in the ears (which obviously will cause dizziness).  There are so many possibilities with these disorders!

Yesterday my neurologist did electro-acupuncture.  He placed acupuncture needles in my head and attached it to an electric current that stimulated the nerve.  Some spots actually hurt a lot;  but, he said it will take about a month of sessions (two times a week) to feel the results.  It's all such a time and money commitment!!!

How are you feeling with your treatments?

  1. @soniacn hi ☺️

My vitamin D is low but in the norm. I’m gonna take a supplement. Because of my intestin which is porous, I often have several deficiencies (vitamin D, magnesium etc). Currently I am doing a magnesium cure, but I should do a vitamin D cure and other vitamins.

Why did your neurologist make you the Electro-acupuncture ?According to him you have a neurological problem?

The doctor isn't totally sure but he thinks it could be related to Vestibular Migraine because I have a lot of pain on the left side of my head (above my left ear, at my left temple) and also my left eye brow.  So, he thinks the acupuncture might work, but it will take a while.  It's so crazy when so many specialists say different things.  My chiropractor thinks it's related to my cervical spine, and I'll be seeing the optometrist soon, who will probably say it's related to my poor vision!

@soniacn Yes and it’s complicated to be sure of which diagnosis is the good one. But I think your cervical and spin play in your problem.

what's also crazy is that we have symptoms that are very similar and our diagnoses are different

Hi Audrey,

Happy Holidays!  How was it?  Did you see family?  And how have you been feeling?  Any improvement at all?  I don't know if it's the same with you but I find that I have some days that are "okay", where I can move with more ease, and then I'll have days where the dizziness is terrible and I can barely get out of bed!  I think the change in weather definitely has to do with that!

@soniacn hi ☺️☺️

Happy Holidays too ! I was with my family several days for Christmas. It was awesome. And you ?

About the dizziness, when I was with my parents, it was fine. I was a little dizzy (especially when I was in stores to do Christmas shopping) but other than that, it was « ok »! But I was (and I am) very tired. Actually, I don't know if the fatigue could be due to my thyroid (I don't have the results of my exams yet). I read on a forum that the problem  of dizziness like I could have, can also be due to the thyroid.

Since I returned to my boyfriend's apartment (for 3 days) my dizziness is much more present ... as usual haha 🙄🙄
But I noticed that when I moved (like cooking or painting) the dizziness decreased. I also read that when the brain lacked oxygen (like me), it caused dizziness and you had to move to activate the blood circulation and therefore bring more oxygen to the brain.

Tbh, I didn't notice (agaaaain) if the weather had an impact on me. I'll try to pay attention ☺️
And you, how do you feel ? Any improvement or still the same ?

Hi Audrey,

I'm glad you enjoyed your family time!  It's crazy how sometimes a change of environment can help the dizziness so much.

How do you check the oxygen flow to the brain?  I was hooked up to so many machines checking blood and oxygen flow and it all seemed okay, but I wonder if something just wasn't picked up.  I'm okay when moving (although sometimes the ground feels like it's moving under my feet).  However, when I stop moving and sit down I get very dizzy.  It's all so crazy.  I've had a CT scan of the head done, and also an echocardiogram of the heart.  So much testing!!

You're supposed to get your thyroid results next week right?

Hi Antonio ☺️,

Thank you very much for your answer. I’m sorry for your daughter and I hope she’ll be ok ☺️☺️ 🤞🏼 So you saw a neurologist for her, right ? To detect her disease.

I never had any particular problems when I was a child. I had a "normal" life, like any child. Never any behavioral problem, dizziness etc. All symptoms came little by little, after a braces when I was a teenager. My diagnosis today is a malocclusion. It’s because of that that I have facial pain, cervical Pain, pain around my eyes etc etc and the problem of convergence is due to that too. Dizziness too, because the malocclusion give me knots at my cervical which compress the vertebral arteries. So, my brain is lacking of oxygenation. In add, the jaw is really close from the inner ear, so jaw dysfunction can cause vestibular symptom.

Thank you again for your message ☺️

Hi Sonia !

Sorry I didn’t see your message.
First, Happy new year 😁

I spend few days with friends to celebrate the new year and I wasn’t dizzy. Just a little sometimes but clearly it’s was ok.
I come back to my boyfriend apartment, I’m sure the dizziness will come back haha.

I talked on a malocclusion forum about my symptoms etc (because it looks like my diagnosis is a malocclusion as you know) and it’s crazy because people who replied to me have exactly the same symptoms (dizziness too, and more in stores). It’s a bit scary because some people can not heal but from what I read on this forum (other people's posts), my symptoms are quite "soft". They tell me to avoid wearing a rigid dental gutter for now, as my dentist suggested, and to try a non-invasive therapy first (like maxillofacial physiotherapist and / or osteopath specializing in the jaw). So I’m gonna do that ☺️ I found some in Paris. But I’m gonna take an appointment after the result of my thyroid. It’s more important to fix the problem with my thyroid if I have one.

My ENT have got the result today normally. So she’ll call me soon 🤞🏼🤞🏼

My memory is soooo bad, your appointment with the neurovisual center (don’t remember if it’s the correct name 😅) in NY is today right ? Or tomorrow ?

Audrey ☺️

Hi Audrey,

I hope you get those thyroid results soon!  Thinking of you!

The malocclusion is something that I had never heard of before all of this!  I truly hope that the dizziness gets better for you after seeing these specialists.  It's very interesting that you were able to find an osteopath who specializes in the jaw area!  I didn't even know that such a doctor existed!

You have a VERY good memory!  Yes, my appointment with the neurovisual center is this afternoon!  I'll let you know how that goes!

@soniacn hi ☺️

Thanks, that's kind ☺️ (about my thyroid).

And yes there are specialists for almost everything now 😅

So, your appointment ?

Hi Audrey,

So I had the vision appointment.  It was about two hours.  The doctor noticed (as several have noticed before) that my left eye is slower to focus than my right eye.  I also have issues with convergence and divergence.  I had already done vision rehab several months ago, but this doctor at the neurovisual center ordered me those special glasses with the prism lens and blue light filter.  They were very expensive so I hope they work!

I'm continuing the electro-acupuncture twice a week.  It's pretty painful but I'm hoping something works!

How are you feeling??
