My trials with vestibular disorders began in January 2011 when I awoke abruptly to vertigo and nausea. Life has not been the same since, but I have found methods to manage my symptoms and resume much of my old activities.
I am diagnosed, twice, as having Vestibular Migraines. Thus, most of my relief has come from reducing stressors and inflammation. Removing inflammatory foods, lots of meditation, keeping a schedule, and light exercise. Life stress is always the hardest. Simplifying everything works best for me. Taking on less responsibilities, keeping organized, replacing lightbulbs, less electronic use (tv, phone) and staying away from loud or busy environments.
I have come a long way from not being able to read, leaving my job, and cancelling plans! I have a pack of animal love supporting me and I never give up hope. It all got better when I accepted my condition and learned to live with it.
Much gratitude to all of you here supporting each other and always looking forward!
