I’m in week 8 of vestibular rehab for central vertigo driven from cvsd. I m looking for words of encouragement from similar warriors that I can get to a health point that this no longer consumes every hour of every day of my life.
I can really relate to what you’re feeling. When I was in the middle of rehab, it felt like every hour of my day was ruled by symptoms and I wondered if things would ever change. What helped me was remembering that progress with central vestibular issues can be slow and subtle, but it does happen.
Eight weeks in, you’ve already made it through some of the toughest part—showing up consistently and pushing through the frustration. Little by little, your brain is adapting, even if it’s hard to see it in the moment. Many of us who’ve been there can say that it doesn’t stay this overwhelming forever.
Hang in there—you’re not alone, and the effort you’re putting in now is laying the foundation for better days ahead. Also, if you haven’t yet, check out our support groups here: https://vestibular.org/article/coping-support/support-groups/ — connecting with others who understand can make a huge difference.
