Details

Clarice graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiotherapy and has taken multiple post graduate courses. She completed her certification in Vestibular Rehabilitation at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA in 2008 to become the first in the Okanagan with this training.  She has also taken multiple Concussion courses keeping her up to date with proper treatment. Clarice is a Registered Physiotherapist in BC, a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association since 1993, and a member of the International Vestibular Disorders Association ( VEDA) since 2006.

Clarice's physiotherapy practice include clients with dizziness, vertigo or unsteadiness, muscle/joint problems and clients with post concussion symptoms. For treatment, she uses up to date vestibular/concussion rehabilitation clinical practice guidelines,  significant education, manual therapy skills, taping and exercise prescription. In her 30 years of practice, she has worked with skilled athletes, weekend warriors, accident survivors and those living with persistent pain or  dizziness/balance/unsteadiness issues. She sees changes possible when clients feel comfortable in learning to help themselves with a therapist's guidance.

Clarice is a committed, perpetual student who highly values continuing education and increasing her skills. Within the world of concussion and vestibular rehabilitation, she also appreciates utilizing a multi disciplinary approach to management of the more complicated clients with persisting symptoms. She is thankful working for Lifemark Health with her mentor Sheelah Woodhouse, National Director of Vestibular Rehabilitation for Lifemark Health who has supported her in her busy practice.

She is passionate about staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle which she promotes in her practice.  She enjoys cycling, kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking and cross country skiing with family and friends.  Other interests include gardening, reading, and volunteering on a committee for protecting Watersheds and Forests in British Columbia.
