I have been living with Vestibular Migraine Disorder for over 12 years now. It started one day when I woke up and everything around me spun while I sat still. After 5 years of working on a diagnosis, I decided to take things into my own hands. I got my nutrition in check, I started exercising while facing the fear of falling over, and eventually, with the help of my husband, friends, and family, I found a life rebalanced!! I now live with fewer migraines and more joy!! In fact, I started a business doing commercial excavation 4 years ago and learned how to operate the machines and walk on job sites with tripping hazards everywhere (mostly because I can trip on flat pavement 🤪). I felt safer in the machine than walking, and never got dizzy while operating. Today, I manage those operators and laborers doing the work I learned how to do. It’s been 4 years full of sweat, challenging my balance, & stress; however, I’m doing it! 🎉 If you are able to embrace this vestibular world and see it as a new, fun challenge, then your possibilities are endless. If I can do it, so can you!!
