No Longer Waiting for the Next Episode

Diagnosis: Cervicogenic Dizziness

For years, living with vertigo and balance disruption meant more than just physical symptoms, it meant constant anticipation. Leaning back at the dentist, looking under the couch, tilting my head for eye drops, ordinary movements carried uncertainty. I often operated in a high-level state of anxiety, bracing for the next episode. Physical therapy and chiropractic visits helped with posture and exploring possible causes, but I began to wonder what could be quietly setting the tone for my days.

Instead of focusing on daytime triggers, I began looking at sleep posture. As symptoms improved, what once felt broad, non-specific, and hard to localize gradually became more clearly centered in my shoulder and neck region, which led me to explore cervicogenic vertigo and the role posture may play in nerve irritation.

Introducing a system that supports neutral alignment and posture each night has been a meaningful part of changing that pattern. Over time, I experienced extended periods (almost 2 years) without the episodes that once defined my routine. I don’t claim a cure or a single explanation, but creating more structural stability during sleep coincided with a steadier foundation and quiet confidence returning. If this perspective resonates, I’m open to sharing more about what I changed and how I approached it.
