Hello everybody. I am here just to give advice.

Try to relax. Try not to get anxious. PLEASE. Meditate or do something that really relaxes you.

I do suffer from vestibular issues and at the beginning of my journey, anxiety and stress of what I was feeling made my symptoms worse and chronic. I became depressed.

Relaxing will help your body heal.

I can relate to what you’re feeling. It’s scary.

I only have my first shot and I’m doing fine. Of course, I’m worried about my second.

@libbysimon that’s fantastic!  You’re  the second person I’ve heard with improvement from acupuncture.  I guess it’s time to take that route. Thanks for sharing.

My name is Carol

i had my first shot March 5, started dizziness, sweating, off balance.March 14. Never thought from vaccine. Had second on March 26 and it has not stopped!

Went for brain scan. Dr put me on prednisone for 6 days, still off balance and nauseous and headache. By end of day my body feels very weak and like lead.

going to start acupuncture hopefully next week, saying maybe 5-6 sessions and hopefully will help.

I have Meneres since I was 24yrs old. Now senior.

I wish it was put out there or DOCTORS to say if any health issues BESIDES allergies NOT to take vaccine!
and they do not tell you how many people are suffering from effects!

UPDATE:

Is anyone else extremely sensitive to any movement like walking around, moving your eyes, etc? After my first 2 and a half weeks, my severe dizziness and vertigo finally started to subside. Now however, I cannot make the smallest movements without feeling extremely nauseas. I know it’s not normal at all and will be seeing a neurologist soon.

@korki777 I’ve suffered with vestibular problems at various times in my life. For me it’s the the normal progression. It takes its time going away. Great that you are seeing a neurologist.  Hope you feel better each day. It will get better.

@vlstolly thanks for the report. Could you report back in a couple weeks to confirm that you are totally out of the woods? Some people have a delayed reaction a couple weeks out. I have had the first shot and experienced 3 weeks of vertigo which came on 2 weeks after the shot. I am compiling info on the recovery of people after the 2nd shot before I make a decision to get it.

@anthem Have you tried taking 800 mg of Ibuprofen(equal to 1 prescription Motrin) every 6 hours continually to see if that helped. Many people do not take enough or not consistently enough to see improvement. Ibuprofen has a cumulative effect so you have to be consistent for it to work.

Most of these reports here such as inability to move your head or not being able to tolerate fixing your gaze/eye sight to an object while moving/walking/etc sound to me like vestibular neuritis. It might very well be that the allergy season/flu/other cold viruses/or even shingles might be the cause of this and might have nothing to do with the vaccine. BPPV and Vestibular Neuritis are completely different things although BPPV does happen to be people post vestibular neuritis. Most of the time a pathological cause is the real reason behind these.

@anthem You dizziness is most likely caused by your body reacting in an inflammatory way to the vaccine. In your case your inner ear is inflamed and is causing your dizziness. If you reduce the inflammation the dizziness will go away. It is a simple solution but it has worked for some people on this forum. The most important thing is not to do a half measure by not taking enough or not for a long enough time period. Take the ibuprofen with food so it does not upset your stomach. Please report back either way if you choose to try this.
