Can I ask a favor?Β Some of us are going through a difficult time trying to navigate these new side effects and we come here daily for support and to see if others are improving from when they first reported.Β I've noticed that some people on this page have not had the vaccine, but want to comment on the dangers and lack of testing, etc.Β At this point, these comments are not helpful to people experiencing the side effects.Β Please, if you would keep the comments factual to your experience and if you are improving and what has helped.Β Β
Hi Teresa,Β Yes, a lot of us are going through an extremely difficult new experience of having post-vaccine issues. And there are a few here that came here because they have already gone through vestibular challenges and were drawn by the same association we were - of dizziness related to Covid vaccination. Some of those have benefited from our experiences of onset or worsening dizziness due to choosing Covid vaccination by observing our resulting side effects and deciding Covid vaccination is too great a risk for them, considering their history.
Weighing the dangers vs benefits of future vaccination is something we're all in the midst of doing, and some are discussing here. I'm sorry that's not helpful for you. There's a number of things shared here that aren't compatible with my views and some things I would never consider for myself, for various reasons, but I don't want to let that distress me.
I hope we can be generous enough to make room for our own outlook, and those of others also?
@thenystagmus my view as well. It is almost like we have or had some symptoms of covid 19 without the respiratory involvement. Β I have asthma (do flonase diskus and spiriva inhalation daily to keep it under control) so if this vaccine was to affect the most weak part of my body, it would have been my lung and yet Β I had no respiratory problems with this. I have no history of vertigo, dizziness or migraines.
Because the dizziness I had (no nausea) was much more mild than people reporting here, I had already made up my mind that this was certainly vaccine related and had no desire to seek medical help. Β If my symptoms were worse, I most certainly would have consulted a physician to get anti-inflammatory prescription since I cannot take any non-steroidal anti-inflammatory meds like ibuprofen due to drug allergy which causes hives with this class of meds.
I reported my symptoms to Vaers as well as Pfizer. Β My symptoms are all gone and glad I am vaccinated. Β I am hoping that all of you who are having problems now will soon find relief with time.Β
I am not surprised that CDC has not mentioned these problems. Β I think their concern now is to get most people quickly vaccinated and deal with more severe vaccine related problems such as blood clots, deaths, etc. Β

Hi nasu, Thanks for your reply! I saw one doctor calling this a sneaky virus. I'm glad its' vaccine didn't sneak into your respiratory system. I worked as a respiratory tech many years ago and enjoyed helping hospitalized adults and kids with asthma, COPD, CP, and many other respiratory challenges. I'm so glad to hear your vestibular symptoms are gone! I hope all of us get to declare that also - ASAP! 🤗
The medical professionals I've seen (ER Doc, Neurologist, Pharmacist, PT) have all acknowledged that I've had an adverse reaction to the vaccine. No one has conclusive answers but all firmly believe this is ultimately temporary and will resolve. The pharmacist suggested that possibly the reagent used in the vaccine is causing an allergic/inflammatory response and that it wear off. Neurologist suspects it's a viral activation. My vestibular physical therapist says to me "The vaccine will save your life, I'll help your immune system calm down". I'm increasingly convinced that a whole body healing approach and physical movement is the way through this. Now that I'm fully vaccinated I feel safe seeing my therapeutic massage therapist again. I have an appt next week.Β
@thenystagmus What worries me right now, knowing what we are going through, is young people getting the vaccine and some of them experiencing the same. I am so worried for my daughter who is fit and healthy with a good job and totally independent. If this should happen to her I would be devastated. 🙏
Odds are, she'll do fine. I do believe we here are minority, don't you? But, I'll pray, too! Besides, on the unlikely chance she experiences any issues - I'm glad she's got you for her support! Chin up! We're going to beat this!
@smileyoer Yep, started with severe vertigo shortly after the vaccination which became headaches, dizziness and tinnitus.
@thenystagmus Hi Saffaras, Yes I hope so. She will get the vaccine and as you say, she will probably be fine. It's just implanted in my brain now and you know how parents worry, I need not tell you that. She works outdoors and had a bad reaction to a flu jab once, I think that is what's bothering me. Yes, we are a minority group, of course, millions have had the vaccine and it hasn't bothered them. Why us then, I ask myself? Thank you for your reassurance.
My aunt is in her 80's and has suffered with vertigo for years. A year ago she had a bout that lasted about 10 weeks, every day. She gets severe vomiting with it. She has had a brain scan, been to ENT but has not had a diagnosis. The only medication she takes for it are Kwells travel sickness tablets and she swears by them. Here's the thing, she has had both covid vaccines, had chills and dizziness for a few days but it hasn't spurred on her vertigo. The only thing that seems to have worsened since the vaccines is the arthritis in her knees. Hmmm!!!
With that said, the pressure in my face is gone. The vertigo and fatigue is gone, the rash seems to be clearing up but it's definitely fighting. The ringing of the ears has remained unchanged. The medication I'm on is Prednisone and Hydroxyzine Pamate. On top of that I picked up LIPO Flavonoid Plus which is a supplement said to help with ringing of the ears, it's been almost a week taking that (2 pills, 3 times a day) and has had no effect, the ringing is still unchanged. But the other stuff at least is gone or clearing up.Β
I don't do Facebook at all, so this is my group. Thanks for posting your update ...a lot of great news! Good to hear how much you're improving. I hope the ringing in your ears begins to clears up soon also.Β
Thanks, hoping the ringing improves. It's so far the only thing that hasn't.
And yes, not everyone has Facebook. I just got annoyed after my last post and being told for the 10th time to join this Facebook group.

@SassafrasΒ Β Thank you.Β As long as everyone remains civil--and they have--I see no problem in everyone posting their own POV on the topic.Β There will be some who find it helpful, even if others don't.Β We aren't always going to agree.Β I came here looking for information so I could make an informed decision and I found what I needed.Β I don't appreciate being made to feel unwelcome here because I made a different choice and some don't happen to like my choice or POV.Β I totally relate and understand what those here are going through because I've been through it, but for different reasons.Β And I feel that I have something to contribute.Β We all have our own reasons for being here, and that's OK.Β Tolerance is always a good thing.Β

Yeah, why some of us with this vestibular vaccine response, and not others ...good question, my friend. My hips and knees were terribly sore midway through all this, but they're mostly better now. Maybe your aunt will improve also? 🙏
@ttbevan hey all, I am scared of reading the article due to my current struggle with the vaccine. My 2nd dose was 4/14/21 3 days later I started experiencing dizziness and weakness as a single parent i am concerned about the side effects my daughter's father passed away 5 years ago so I am all she has left the past 2 weeks i haven't been able do anything for myself she has been taking care of me yet I was pretty healthy exercise daily mentally strong now i can hardly make coffee i am crying i feel hopeless. Please if anyone found relief after 3 weeks kindly let me know. May God help us all.

Oh, I'm hopeful we can do better than just tolerate one another. I have muchly appreciated your point of view(s) and also your looog experience in this realm - one that's a new world for a lot of us! You've gone through getting acquainted with this beastie, wrestled it into a corner, lived for decades with it tamed, and continue to wrangle with it once again when it wakes up from its naps. Of course, you have much to offer! I'm glad you're here! ☺️

Thank you.Β I am forever grateful to this forum and the people here for helping me make the decision I feel is best for me.Β
I cannot tell you how grateful I am for your post. I have had a very similar reaction to the vaccine and I am so sorry you experienced this too. Coincidentally, I also happen to be a 33 year old female teacher but I'm currently on extended mat leave with my toddler.
I received the Pfizer Vaccine on April 14th, and ten minutes after, I felt dizzy and my heart started POUNDING. My legs were also involuntarily twitching. I was monitored, as I was still on site, and they said a rush of adrenaline due to being nervous about the vaccine was responsible for this response. I truthfully did not feel that worried about receiving the vaccine but thought I must be more anxious that I realized.
13 days later (sound familiar!?) I had a panic attack while I was out shopping. I felt dizzy, and thought, ok I just need to take off my mask and catch my breath. I headed to my car, and my heart began pounding intensely. My hands went numb and my lips tingled. It was absolutely terrifying and I called 911. By the time they arrived, things had calmed down and again, this was attributed to anxiety/panic attack. I was still brought to the hospital to rule out blood clotting, and got full blood work up, EKG and CT scan of my chest. All clear. I had more coffee than usual that day, and like you, felt there was a connection. I have thus not had caffeine since this incident. The following few days, I had repeats of this episode with some variance in my symptoms and the doctors again told me I was anxious. I have had anxiety in the past and it has never manifested like this. I know my body and feel absolutely sure this is connected to the vaccine. Both my family doctor and those in the ER have said the symptoms are too far away from the vaccine to be side effects, yet I am reading countless posts of people with an onset of symptoms at the 2 week mark. My GP actually later said that we canβt possibly know if itβs connected but ask him in a year when the vaccine reports are out -I feel this is the most truthful response I have received. Β
In the past few days, the heart palpitations and panic have dissipated, but I realized I had been getting a feeling of pressure in my right ear looking back on my attacks. I am still getting this sensation the past few days, particularly at night, which led me to follow up with ENT. He believes I have positional vertigo and I underwent an ENG this morning to test for inner ear issues (will have the results next week). This entire experience has been terrifying and crippling. I have been afraid to be alone at home with daughter but I am slowly feeling encouraged as the panic component seems to be calming down. I was wondering how you are feeling now and if you went ahead with your second shot? I definitely feel reluctant to get mine. Thank you again for sharing your story. I literally only created an account for this page just to write you back. You have no idea how comforting it is to know that I am not alone. I hope you are on the mend <3 Β Β
I whad my Pfizer first shot April 15th , after 7 days developed a cold that lasted a good 7-8days not sure if vaccine shot had anything to do with it , 14/15 days after first shot, Iβm laying in bed turn over to shut alarm off them boom felt super dizzy tried to get out of bed but had to wait there got up and almost fell , Iβm supposed to go for my second shot tmrw but I am waiting , been dealing with I guess vertigo and not feeling 100% like fog brain I guess or whatever and definitely cannot get up quick or move suddenly itβs been about 7/8 days of this, I have never experienced vertigo or any kind of dizziness before , I really hope this does not trigger vertigo beyond the side effect term ughhh not happy..
