@vickorano I think most of us here understand that the vaccine, in the end, is the better risk compared to the virus. the “lack of transparency” people talk about is regarding the actual, real, long lasting side effects that are caused by the vaccine. Which is true.
You have doctors telling people their symptoms have nothing to do with the vaccine even though the symptoms only happened shortly after receiving the shot, typically within the timeframe that it takes for the body to respond and adapt to the vaccine, and after all lab tests come back clear.
The fact that any medical professional can dismiss these things as coincidences rather than acknowledge that it is most likely a vaccine side effect and report it appropriately, is sickening.
People look at you skeptically when you tell them it’s the vaccine, because nowhere except on this site, do you see information about these more intense and long lasting side effects that are very obviously triggered by the vaccine.
I was having panic attacks over my reaction to the vaccine until I found this website because no one properly puts this information out there. That’s the truth. Why? Because they don’t want to deter people from getting the vaccine.
If that fact bothers you then, too bad. If you haven’t had any side effects like the rest of us, then you wouldn’t understand our worry and fear. Especially those who have had these problems for months and have found little relief.
Hi all,
I had my first Pfizer dose on 5/6/21 (Thursday). Had soreness at the injection site but nothing terrible. Just kind of like a bruised feeling when I pressed on the area or lifted my shoulder. Went out for a couple of drinks with friends on 5/8/21 (Saturday). When I woke up the next day, felt like I had dulled sensations throughout. I noticed that my taste and smell were very dull, so I thought I may have gotten Covid (got tested and returned negative). It also felt like I was experiencing something like a marijuana high. For example, when I scratch a part of my body, I could sense it, but it's delayed/dull like I'm high or something. It's quite hard to describe exactly how I'm feeling. But my head was sober to the extent that I didn't have trouble thinking clearly as I would when I'm drunk or high. I do feel like my head is up in the clouds and I have some trouble focusing. When I try to process something complicated, it's harder than it was when I was normal. I guess I could say I feel sort of the brain fog that people are talking about, but I don't feel super tired or dizzy. Don't have any other symptoms like headache, fever, chills, etc.
tl;dr - I got my first Pfizer dose and brain fog like symptoms started happening 2 days later.
Anyone going through something like this? Anyone get better after a couple of days? I'm hoping it'll get better, but it is very strange since I've never felt this way before and it is causing anxiety here and there.
p.s. I'm 26 years old and healthy. Not a frequent drinker (once or twice a month) and smoked weed only a couple of times in my life.
@VickoRano If you are so disgusted by what you are reading here, why do you continue to read here? And why post? Perhaps you would be better served finding a forum which better aligns with your views. So far, this has been a safe place for people to express their views. It would be nice if it could continue to be so. People aren't always going to agree. This isn't the place to hurl insults at those whose views you disagree with. Your condescending, arrogant attitude of superiority is disgusting. This isn't the place for that.
And yes, I am well aware that lemmings are only a metaphor.
Hi @vickorano - Thank you for the information you shared and your viewpoints. My children enjoyed an early Mac-based computer game where the object was to redirect lemmings from following each other in unsafe directions. When you failed to protect them you got an opportunity to start over and try again. I liked it because it appealed to peacefully helping, rather than the games that encouraged annihilating others, but it is a relief to learn lemmings aren't bent on their own destruction (and may only resort to cannibalism in times of famine). I hope we can discourse peacefully with one another here.
I've been aware that the mRNA technology has been under development for decades and enjoyed following your links to read the abstract and the article discussing it. It remains that for many sharing post-vaccine experiences, there is convincing personal correlation of new or increased symptoms to having received the mRNA and other Covid vaccines. These symptoms that are seen as adverse effects of our vaccines are difficult to deal with, and the lack of acknowledgement and informed response is troubling. I've been encouraged by the more frank reporting of the possibility of some vaccine side effects in articles coming out of Israel. I do have hope that as these effects are studied, there will be updating of these vaccines to attempt to reduce unintended results, and I appreciate your encouragement to expect and look forward to that.
Thanks for your info! Yes, I think I also may experience more disequilibrium and dizziness with my headache and sinus pressure. Funny that my head and sinuses don't hurt more when I lean my head lower than my upper body - different than when I've had sinus infections years ago. Since I got a call that my insurance pharmacy coverage software glitch finally got resolved yesterday (but they forgot to notify us) I will plan to start the Flonase, 6 day Medrol pac, and get back with my PCP about trying a course of antibiotic. I'm thankfully not troubled by tinnitus, just a couple secs once or twice daily, which is WNL (within normal limits). My body's throttle is set very low (all my vital signs have always run borderline abnormally low, except when I was hyperthyroid on thyroid supplement). I suspect this may be related to the fact that I usually don't respond (only) in the expected beneficially therapeutic ways to medications, so this is much more than I would usually risk trying, but I'm verrry tired of feeling soo lousy for soooo long!
Curious to hear from people who received second shot but had to postpone it. I am feeling better from my first shot and am curious what side effects people had with a delayed second shot
The average recovery time has gone down to 4.0 weeks! I have 15 people included in the average. I only count those who have recovered from dizziness/vertigo and I use the time from start of symptoms to recovery. The shortest amount of time was 4 days and the longest was 13 weeks.
@teresawarren40 Thanks so much! Almost 10 wks of continued symptoms for me so far, although I am improving.
I’m glad I’m not the only one! I got my first Pfizer shot on April 21st. I’m pro-vaccine, I was not nervous getting the shot.
I went in, got the shot, and ten minutes later... BAM! I got hit with major dizziness. My arms had this ugly tingly feeling all over. I had a bit of a weird taste in my mouth. I felt delirious. I felt like I couldn’t breathe and had to open the car window.
Paramedic comes in, because I scared the crapped out of my sister. He tells me it’s all in my head, and gives me this whole speech. LOL. Asshole.
We headed home and later I realized my blood pressure had dropped. I hadn’t ate dinner the night before and had a light breakfast the day of. My BP drops and I get fainty when I dont eat. But it hasn’t been this awful ever. The shot just made it 10x worse. I had never been dizzy from getting a shot.
I got my second shot today, and I ate well this time. I still got dizzy, felt slightly off, a bit of a weird taste in my mouth. But nothing as bad as the first time.
I’m glad to know I’m not crazy.
Decided to forgo the antibiotic Tx for now. It was recommended to be Doxycycline (with which I'm not familiar) and presented for my consideration as optional, since it doesn't seem entirely clear that I have sinus infection at this time. Shared with nurse that I know that wiping normal flora out w/ antibiotics can clear the way for inhospitable colonies of other nasty inhabitants to move in, and she said that is true. Also starting to see signs (increasing intestinal motility) & symptoms (jitteriness) of maybe more than enough Vitamins C & D, so will stop those for now. Sure don't need that in addition whatever taking the Medrol & Flonase turns out to be like.
@bcasey Hello. I got the J&J vaccine a month ago (12/04). Ten days later I began to have a moderate headache and a feeling of dizziness, a week later, the tingling in my hands and feet began. All the exams that have been done to me have come out normal. Any indication of how long these symptoms might last or recommendations for treatments?
@thenystagmus I got you beat. Gone past 15 weeks now. Symptoms are subsiding but still there...
Hi there. I got the moderna vaccine March 30, and 36 hours later I had extreme vertigo, nausea, ear fullness and sinus pressure and fatigue. I was first treated with only Sudafed and told I may have had an allergic reaction to the vaccine that was delayed. I have a short history of BPPV 12 years ago, and haven’t had an attack of vertigo until this shot.
I saw another urgent care 3 days later and was given antibiotics and steroids. Things continued to improve but now I suffer from ears popping, imbalance (like I’m trapped on a boat every minute of the day). I also sometimes have sinus pressure or headaches if I drive or do too much during the day.
It’s been almost 6 weeks of this, I’ve seen and ENT who can’t figure it out, I’ve gotten an MRI with no answers and waiting for bloodwork now. I have an appointment in a month with a neurologist, but am just wanting to get my life back as I wait. I am going to see a vestibular therapist this week too. I don’t have vertigo anymore and so far the epsley (sp) maneuver isn’t producing any results. I’ve suspected vestibular neuritis but no confirmation. I am now having sinus drainage that my MRI last week somehow “vibrated” and has loosened out of me so I’m taking mucenix and hoping that knocks out any imbalance.
anyway no one I’ve come across has yet to work with someone covid vaccine injured like myself in the Las Vegas area. Only one provider so far has admitted the vaccine could have caused this. I know as fact it was the vaccine. Just looking for a provider in my area who has helped if you’ve had similar issues?
@thenystagmus Please let us know how the Medrol and Flonase work for you. For me, the Medrol gave me some really decent headaches and upset stomach and unfortunately not much relief. I didn't have any problems with the Flonase and apparently you can continue to take it for up to 6 months.
