It’s nice hearing I’m not alone. I had no side effects after both Pfizer shots. Until about 4 days after my second dose. I received my second shot 5/20 and woke up in the middle of the night on 5/24 with severe vertigo. Everything was spinning and it lead to me throwing up. I was awake from about 2am-5am and fell back asleep. The next day I was feeling cloudy and off but I thought it was from something I ate. I started taking Dramamine which seemed to help but knew I couldn’t rely on that. The dizziness would come back when I didn’t take Dramamine. Fast forward to 6/7, I was laying in bed and all of the sudden my room was spinning. It lasted about 5 seconds. After that I was okay the rest of the day, but still feeling off. Now today, 6/9, I drove up to the post office and got into my parking spot. I looked up and it felt like my car was rolling off a cliff! It was so scary. From there I went to urgent care and I asked the Dr if this could possibly be a side effect to the vaccine - he of course said no. He had me do a few exercises to try to find the trigger but nothing worked. He sent me home with these exercises and told me if it’s not better in a week to see an ENT. Now tonight (same day as dr appt) I was playing with my dogs and all the sudden- spinning. I hope this goes away quick. I’m having a rough time and I’m a very healthy person with no health problems.
I just Googled why Houston nurses refused to get the vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna or J&J) their suit against the Hospital states all three are “experimental” and not approved by the FDA, , but have been approved for emergency use by the FDA. Will be interesting to see how it goes. Maybe we are indeed the “human Guinea pigs” for these pharmaceutical companies. My husband believes they have been totally approved by the FDA so will have to do more research. Does anyone know if they have been approved totally not just for emergency use.
I took my 1st Astra Zeneca shot on 02 March 2021. After a week, around 09 March, I started to notice floaters in both my eyes. Im 38yrs old and have had no previous vision problems.
I went to a ophthalmologist to get my eyes checked. After they dilated my pupils and conducted a thorough examination, there was no problems found. Only that my eyes were very dry due to long hours of screen usage (10hrs daily due to the pandemic lockdowns/remote work etc), so was prescribed some eye drops and a gel to use before bed. My floaters have reduced to a point where Im not affected by them. Apart from the floaters I also get eye strain, especially towards the end of the day while watching television.
Funnily even my Mom who got her Astra Zeneca 1st shot on 02 March 2021, also had floaters develop in Feb 2021, BEFORE her first shot. Neither of us had Covid, at least that we know of.
I now got my second Astra Zeneca Shot on 28 May 2021, after the recommended 12 weeks. I am now awaiting to see if there is any further deterioration or onset of floaters. Already on day 12 after the 2nd shot, I feel I am seeing a little more floaters than just before the 2nd shot.
I have read about something called covid-mimicry, ie some people when vaccinated experience similar symptoms of covid, but more research needs to be done.
Nope not totally approved but will be making application to do so.
they have only been approved for emergency use. They are not fully approved.
Has anyone gotten the second vaccine dose and improved? Yesterday, I spoke with a physician who said that he noticed patient symptoms improving after the second dose. I am starting to feel desperate. I got the first Moderna shot on March 29, 2021. Within an hour, I had heart palpitations, tingling on the left side of my body, numbness in my lips, and difficulty swallowing. Since then, I’ve experienced dizziness, lightheadedness, tinnitus, nausea, headache, vertigo, feeling faint, heart palpitations, blood pressure spikes, and tremors. Doctors don’t believe it’s the vaccine and can’t diagnose or treat me with anything. I am starting to wonder if the second shot might be worth trying. I dunno, this had been so awful and isolating.
Thank you for that link...I too heard something about lipids from the vaccine. I haven't read the article yet, but plan to later today and bringing this with me to my ENT appointment
I want to share this to encourage everyone to stay positive, there is hope!
Today is the 10th day I've not had an episode or symptom of dizziness or brain fog. Fingers crossed it stays this way! My ENT's theory is that it's possible that the vaccine may have cause some sort of inflammation in my inner ear which caused me to feel imbalance and dizziness with head movement. He prescribed me Prednisone for 10 days. During the 10 days, I felt symptoms. But after the 10th day, I've been feeling better. I've also been doing vestibular exercises twice a day - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epJ1luFyF2o
I felt comfort finding this forum and hearing everyone's stories which made me feel like I'm not alone in this and I'm not crazy! I want to give you all hope and share any info I have in case it may help you. Take care!!
Hmmm, I'm providing a link to a paper about Covid vaccine Covid mimicry ...it's probably above my pay grade to understand a lot of it, but as usual, some of the following comments are interesting...

I want to read it closely later. Today I get to go back to my PCP office to talk more about my ongoing issues, especially after an assistant from the ENT office tried to dismiss me to therapy without diagnosis, prognosis, or even inquiring how I've been over the last month. They were fine with just generally letting me know over the phone that my testing showed "vestibular dysfunction". (I could have come up with that diagnosis on my own!) Thinking about seeing a neurotologist in my city. I'm trying to decide if it's even worth my time and money to go back to this ENT after being so summarily dealt with, but I probably will next week, even if it's just to ask for my test results, including a puzzling audiology test result.
Fortunately, along with my dizziness and facial paresthesia, etc..., I have my sore throat and sore swollen neck lymph nodes going today, as I have had every 2-6 weeks for several days over the last year+ since I had a "viral infection" that I now suspect may have been Covid infection.
While there I'll also be asking about testing they may have available to check for Covid infection antibodies (after Moderna vaccine). Red Cross was doing these tests up until last week, but have stopped now. I'll give them a blood sample again today at my PCP appointment, if it will help get to the bottom of some of these mysteries!
What we don’t known could hurt us. As a follow up to Sassafras’ link and comment, I looked up “mimicry” to see what it meant and found something very scary on the following link.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29503439/
Several people on this form have expressed the concern about developing autoimmune problems and while I’m not a medical person, these Covid 19 vaccines do not sound that safe to this lay person’s sensibility.
Hi I am new here. I had my first vaccine 26th March (AstraZeneca) and apart from 18 hours feeling like I was coming down with something I was fine
Had the second one 29th May and again felt like I was coming down with something. Then a day later started with dizziness! My ears buzz at times too but not all the time. Also feel totally exhausted. Also sweating a lot during the night.
I have ordered and started to take the supplements that were suggested in this forum and really hope they help me recover.
I am drinking 3 litres of water a Day hoping to reduce any inflammation and flush out any toxins !
really struggling . I see in this forum a couple of you are now better . I am wondering if there are others that are now better but have left the forum.
Please keep posting your updates ! I am happy to have found this forum as I no longer feel so alone
@hallen4496 I got my symptoms after my 2nd shot but then I have had covid prior to any vaccine and feel my antigen levels are now too high after the 2nd shot. If possible get a antigen titre test to see if you really need that 2nd shot. It's something I wish I had thought to do. X
