@melanie22

I got symptoms after the 2nd pfizer shot and I won't be having anymore vaccines either. There is talk of a booster shot once you've had 2 shots but it's a massive no way from me!

@peyton3418 I’m sorry to hear you are also suffering. I’m in the UK and had a different vaccine to you but similar symptoms after my second dose of Astra Zeneca. Luckily we have the NHS so I’ve tried and tested a number of different medications including anti-sickness, antihistamine, beta blockers (for anxiety/migraines) none of them worked. I’ve just been given Betahistine Dihydrochloride today to try and after just 2 pills my blurred focus seems to have gone already although I still feel like I’m on a boat.

This medication is for Ménière's disease, your symptoms such as dizziness, hearing loss and ringing in the ears are probably caused by a build-up of fluid in the inner ear.

Betahistine is thought to work by increasing blood flow to this part of your ear and to reduce the amount of fluid there. This helps to reduce the number of attacks you have and to make them milder.

Maybe give that a try but I’d definitely let the pharmacist know about the other supplements you’re taking first. I will update the forum on what’s worked for me and how long these symptoms lasted.

Let’s hope they’ll subside soon and just check in on each other in the meantime x

Good Morning everyone! I’ve been reading everyone’s stories this past 2 weeks! I’m 34 year old healthy male! I received my Pfizer shot 4/22! 3 days later the vertigo symptoms came! I never had any vestibular problems in my life!! My PCP tried to give me a steroid pack and Mycyzline! Didn’t help! Sent me to an ENT, gave me hearing test! Then told me I had Vestibular Neuritis! Today marks 4 weeks and 1 day and I’ve been struggling with this!! So after reading everyone’s comments , I started to do high dosage of vitamin C and Ibuorofen to see if I can get this inflammation down! These events have brought me great anxiety! I haven’t worked out in 4 weeks! I would run 4 miles a day:/ I see the ENT again tomorrow! I pray to god I just wake up and it’s gone! Want my life back!! The only thing that helps with the anxiety is hydroxyzine which my pcp prescribed , but I only take one at night to sleep!! I hope everyone recovers! God bless y’all!!

UPDATE**
Good news is my CT scan came back clear!!! The ent had me try Nortriptyline 10mg , and unfortunately it didn’t go well, it was raising my blood pressure and heart rate! So he wanted me to stop taking those Wednesday, I had 4 doses , and it was a bad time!!! I have been taking the Quercentin and Lipsomal Gluthanione , I see a slight change , the vertigo isn’t as intense , just feels like I can feel the pulse in my eyes , I had an incredible day yesterday , first time in nearly 7 weeks that I enjoyed the day! But today woke up in a down /Fatigue mode anxiety like feeling!! I’ll take the good with the bad!!! I’ll continue to take the supplements see how I feel!!!  Had a weird episode last night , where my heart rate spiked , woke me up, and I had a buzzing in my ears then went away on its own!! I’ll be 7 weeks Monday, and today is Friday the 11th!!

@dizzyfromvaccine Thanks! I really do appreciate you posting a while back. Without it, I wouldn't have had a clue about taking these supplements. The instructions I read for the liposomal glutathione was to take it on an empty stomach. Probably to maximize absorption. The quercetin instructions recommended taking it with food, which I assumed was to minimize stomach upset. Since I was taking both of these together on an empty stomach, I just assumed the upset stomach was from the quercetin. Maybe it was the combination of the two. Regardless, I was willing to go through these minor side effects to finally get some relief.

@onaboatforover30days I am your age and had the AZ vaccine but only started getting the ‘on a boat’ feeling after the second dose, 4 days after it to be precise. Tried a number of different medications and just been given Betahistine Dihydrochloride which is used to treat symptoms of Ménière’s syndrome such as dizziness (vertigo), ringing in the ears (tinnitus), loss of hearing and nausea. It works by improving blood flow in the inner ear. This lowers the build up of pressure. I’ve got to take 3 a day with or after food and I’ve had 2 already today and feel my focus has improved although I can feel the swimming sensation is still there I am hopeful this will work. I’ll keep you updated! Good luck!

Moderna 2nd vaccine 2/26/21

78 YO healthy female

what a nightmare… week 2 post 2nd vaccine began to have terrible bouts of my head swimming/spinning mostly in bed turning over and getting up

I researched and found this group and as I suspected, many reports from others with similar side effects

I am THRILLED to report that after 3 months of head swimming in the middle of the night, I’m OVER IT‼️🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 (I HOPE it will not return)

Hang in there. I'm almost 5 months post Pfizer vaccine and I'm just now starting to feel better thanks to the glutathione, zinc and quercetin regimen and vestibular rehab. You will feel better with time. You'll have good days and bad days. You will start to notice more good days than bad though. Yeah, I took amitriptyline (similar to nortriptyline) the other night. Never again 😀

@teresawarren40

Thanks so much for your input.  I have not had vertigo for about a year now and only a few migraines.  And my joint pain and muscular weakness have gotten so much better.  So afraid of going backwards.  Sorry to hear you still have it.  I know how debilitating it can be.  I hope you recover soon.

I am so confused now, I am considering to get the second vaccine....

My neurologist recommend to get Pfizer after Sputnik. He said that the first Sputnik maybe make an allergic reaction. But who knows many of you got Pfizer and have total the same symptoms.

Those who have got the second jab after these terrible symptoms. What did you experience?

In our country we are forced to get the two vaccines or we are not able to go anywhere, only in food shops... I am young and I wouldn't go to concerts, but it would be great to hang out with my friends sometimes. But if I don't get the two vaccines there is no way.

@anneornina I sympathise. I had my second AZ vaccine 5 weeks ago and the last 3 weeks I too have had a burning red face, eyes sensitive to light, poor sight focus and dizzy sensation like I’m on a boat not to mention the anxiety which has been so bad I’ve been given beta blockers. I’ve been given a full check by the docs BP, ECG, full blood count and nothing wrong with me. My doctor suspects it’s an adverse immune response to the vaccine causing migraines so has given me Betahistine Dihydrochloride. Will let you know if that works for me. Wish you well soon!

Was still somewhat on the fence about the 2nd Pfizer. I have been called for jury duty 06/29/21 and not one of my doctors/specialist will write a temporary exception letter because of covid. They all say they don’t do that.
The town I live in in Colorado has the lowest vaccination rate (37%) and highest rate of Covid in the state. We have the India variant becoming the primary variant. Doc on CBS new last night said they are finding just one shot does not protect from this variant. So despite all of the precautions I’ve personally taken, I am being told I have to go to a public place around other community members where at only 37% vaccination rate I will be around those that are unvaccinated and/or could care less about others. Feeling both helpless and still very scared of a second shot after the first nightmare but made my appointment for tomorrow so it will have been two weeks by jury duty time. Assuming I can function after that shot.
