Anyway what I was leading up to is the nurse I spoke to asked what shot I had and I said pfizer, straight away she said "are you suffering long covid symptoms" and I said that's how it feels. She said "not surprised I know a lot of people like that after vaccine" Sooo I'm guessing long haulers take a while to recover so maybe some of us are long haulers from vaccine, maybe we should just be kind to ourselves and wait for symptoms to run it's course with best supportive care?
Sure, I'm willing to do that. However, can we at least get a diagnosis and an actual doctor who understands what it is exactly we are going through?
I had covid also in Dec 2020. My thoughts are as I had no reaction to first shot only after the send shot that it pushed my body too far and its reacted in a severe inflammatory response. I would bet money if they had done a titre level test they would have found I had suffient antigens provided by my previous infecrion and first shot. I really wish they would do the titre tests before giving everyone these shots it could stop a lot of unnecessary suffering, I know some may react to vaccine anyway but why give vaccines to those with high enough antigen protection anyway.
Not sure we will get that, I got lucky and spoke to a nurse who has seen reactions and thankfully honest enough to say so not just keep pushing the vaccine mandate. Being a nurse I guess she doesn't have the power to make decisions about medical / medication care of such new reactions only the Dr's can.
Hopefully as more reactions reported more medical doctors will start to get protocols in place to help us vaccine injured in the same way they are helping covid long haulers as the symptoms are similar.
I'm not saying we deserve better care than the longhaulers but do feel we need just as much support to get well as we are all feeling ill, scared even at what is happening to us.
I feel better knowing that that nurse is seeing the effects of the vaccine on some people and prepared to stand up and say these people are suffering as long haulers do. Just somebody saying it and acknowledging there is an issue for some who've had the vaccine is a start, maybe it will be the start of better treatment for all of us and future vaccine takers.
I still won't have anymore shots but that's a personal choice because I never want to feel this unwell again. However if people feel they want to have further shots then that's a personal choice for them, they have thought it through and made the decision that's right for them. I respect everyone's right to do what they feel is best for them.
My hope is they figure out a better vaccine with less chance of side effects - not that I'm ever having another lol
I guess it's different for everyone, different bodies, different immune responses but I'm hoping we all recover quickly. Some have covid and recover very well and super quick while others take a long time.
I have no patience so not liking this long recovery one bit - come on body speed it up I've got things I want to do! Lol
I found this forum from reddit.. I went on there looking to see if I wasn't the only one.. I'm sharing my story so it could add to the others already shared here..
I got my 1st dose astrazeneca jun 10, had the usual reactions (chills, fever, headache).. around day 4 or 5 I started feeling off, like when you only slept like 2-3 hours or when you weren't able to have coffee.. there were also bouts of lightheadedness with sudden dizziness (or like room spinning for a second or so).. overall just loopy and weird.. happens when I'm sitting down, standing or laying down so I'm guessing it's totally random and not affected by what position I'm in.
This has been going on till now which is day 11 post vaccine shot.. It's not to the point that it's debilitating but it is annoying and can sometimes affect my focus/concentration when I'm working..
Initially I was worried if this was a blood clot symptom as Astrazeneca has blood clotting issues but seeing as there are others with other vaccines experiencing the same issues, I'm thinking it could be something else.
I've only read to up to page 8 of this forum (when posts were around Mar 8) and I was wondering if those who posted around those time updated on whether this eventually went away. If it did, how long did it take after it started to go away? Was there any meds prescribed to help it go away or did it just go away on its own?
Also for those who proceeded with their 2nd dose, how was it? did it make it worse? or did it make it go away?
And finally, was anyone able to talk to a doctor who was able to explain what was going on?
I would appreciate replies. I getting worried that this could be a forever thing and whether the 2nd dose could actually make it worse..
@heybro how are you doing on the Ivermectin? Hope it helps by you having a super quick recovery x
So I've just spoken to a nurse for a quick bit of advice of what medication is of use and what to stop now I've given it a try.
Stopping all supplements except multivitamin
Taking ibruromen and paracetamol for pain relief
And behistine as prescribed for nausea and dizziness.
I've parred done as want the Dr to have as clean a slate as possible so that if he agrees after consultation to pescribe Ivermectin my body isn't load up with lots of medication that may interact with it. I have until 22nd July to do this unless I pray there is a cancellation.
I've thrown loads at my body supplements, pills and potions, some prescribed some over counter.
I'm meditating daily, walking outside, playing with my poppy dog, keeping up with regular movement not just resting about. Hoping more movement helps.
Attempting anti inflammatory diet of fresh fruit and veg smoothies, eggs for protien a high fibre nautal grain carbs. With a small treat if wanted. This depends of my level of nausea and vomiting. Some days are better yay.
Giving my body as rest from all my attempts to heal it and see if it can do that it's self. Who knows may work as should know itself lol.

(I'm still having ivermectin treatment when available the sooner the better lol) who really knows what to do though? Maybe a little good luck dance for eachother - "shake what ya mama gave ya" lol

Wishing us all well xx
I can absolutely relate..... I took my AZ shot 30 days before and pretty much had all symptoms one can imagine...
All started from day 3, i am a health anxiety sufferer and boy this jab had made me complete mess... I started noticing some blood in sputum which warranted an thorough check up at hospital.... they did ekg, echo, a CT pulmonary Angio, some blood work and all came back normal so docs said the blood could be due to some throat infection or sinus infection.... then after 1 week started debilitating episodes of dizziness which made me pretty much bed ridden almost all the time.... constant ringing in ear and general feeling of unwell has took over me.... i was in a great health before taking this jab, was able to easily lift weights, now i feel like i waa hit by a moving train and could hardly walk for only 10 to 15 min post which everything starts spinning.... Lately severe nausea has also started mainly during mornings with a salty PND.... I dont know if i could ever come out from this hell amd be normal again
These supplements worked to reduce inflammation for someone on another board who had "Joint pain, stiff knees, tinnitus, fatigue, headaches, neuropathy, leg/arm tingles + numbness, and throbbing in calves" after getting the vaccine.
