@baylor02 Yes we should report the side effects. I wanted the Pfizer although couldnβt choose obviously due to the side effects being reported from Astra Zeneca vaccine. I too am the only one out of family and friends to get side effects from Pfizer apart that they had a sore arm..I have effects from flu vaccination.. but not dizziness. I have suffered vertigo on and off for about 13 years.. i didnβt realise the Pfizer vaccination would trigger it. Extreme dizziness only lasted two days.🤞
@baylor02 Yes donβt give me the odds because Iβll be that 2nd one! I was feeling very pleased with myself after Pfizer jab ...first injection Iβve had in years.. didnβt feel a thing then bam 3 days in.. hopefully symptoms abating now.
@mbala611 I have Hashis and Sjogrens.Β My immune systemΒ experienced the perfect storm after Moderna #1 on 2/19.Β It' been 5 weeks and I am just now just now starting to feel better.Β Started with Dizziness and nausea, progressed to Vertigo and then all over body aches and spasms.Β Most Drs do agree it is an immune response to vaccine.Β Waiting to talk to my Rheumatologist friday about taking the 2nd shot of not.Β Don't give up hope, the body will calm down.Β Β
Β @B333 I had the exact same experience. I had the Pfizer shot on about Jan 28 and the second dose 3 weeks later. Ever since then, I have moments of dizziness. It is not severe, but does make me tired. I also woke yesterday (after taking 2 Advil pm) and literally was walking on a diagonal and almost fell down.Β Years ago (like 25) I had a severe case of vertigo that lasted for about 6 months.Β No problems since then unless I am riding a lot of elevators.Β Otherwise nothing until this shot.Β If this becomes an annual type of recommendation like the flu shot, I don't think I will do it again.Β I don't get the flu shots and I don't want to do this every year
1st Pfizer jan March 2. Bad vertigo and asthma and diarrhea started March 9 (see previous post). March 9-14 were bad. After that, some bad days and some good days. Did not feed like my normal self until March 23, poor again March 24, better on March 25. 2nd Pfizer jab March 25. Even when I felt good, when trying normal activities I soon tired by afternoon. Awoke next morning with very slightΒ dizziness, took Meclizine and ibuprofen. I had planned no activities following the shot. I did not have to stay in bed but not driving, but was fatigued and tired all day, went to sleep and slept all night. Dizzy stopped but still fatigue and little headache March 27, better March 28. All the while no fever, no cough.
My normal life has been shut down beginning one week after the 1st Pfizer shot, now today March 29 I think that I could be at the end of this. But still I will probably get tired this afternoon.
I hope that y'all are getting through this, especially with no cough or fever or virus.

I've been experiencing dizziness and vertigo nonstop since 6 days after my first dose of Pfizer.Β Healthy 55 YO and I've never had any vestibular issues in the past, also no allergic reactions before to any vaccine.Β I went ahead with the second shot last week and unfortunately the symptoms have now increased in intensity.Β At night I go to turn over in bed and it feels like I've been drinking too much.Β Very disturbing...Β When I stand up too fast I almost topple over.Β Practicing slow movements and praying this passes soon. This feeling of being off balance is very unnerving.Β Β
Has anyone else gotten the vaccine months ago and then had dizziness? Β Just trying to piece things together. Β I had the the first vaccine (Pfizer) 12/16 and the second dose 1/6. Β Fatigue and muscle aches after the second dose for about 36 hours and then all good. Β Fast forward to last week 3/22, woke up, my eyes were unable to focus, dizzy, off-balance and nauseated. Β Went to the ER, I was admitted for three days. Β Labs are normal, EKG normal, CT and MRI neg for abnormalities. I am now on steroids and meclizine and I am off work until this clears. Β I am a critical care RN so I canβt be dizzy at work. Β Has anyone else had delayed dizziness post vaccine or is this non-related? Β I am just trying to research all options because the doctors donβt know the cause of the vertigo.Β
Thanks for your help!
Β
Thank you, @Megan. The piece of info I'd like, and that is not yet available, is the duration of one dose. I did get antibodies drawn and they are positive, but do not report out the actual quantitative data. So now I will be redrawn to get that information, and then follow it over time. Ugg.
I got my first Moderna vaccine on Feb 25th, I had an immediate reaction, my face and neck turned red after 5 minutes, my throat felt scratchy and lost all the moisture it of my mouth. Β The EMT told me this was normal. Β It didnβt feel normal. Β My arm was very red swollen and sore. It stayed red for about 2 weeks. After about a week I started having dizzy spells, they have gotten progressively worse. I went to my doctor and he said I have vertigo. When I asked him if it could be related to vaccine he said no. I have tinnitus but it is manageable. Β This is very frustrating and scary. Β I am having anxiety.... Β Β I am suppposed to go to physical therapy for vertigo today. Β I have had vertigo before and this just isnβt the same. Β This is more light headed and feeling off balance. I am going to try the vitamin C. Β I am so glad I found this website. Β I am stressed out about this. Β I just want to feel normal again. Β (I did not get the second shot).
We got our final Moderna vaccine March 9th, minimal side effects after 1st, and almost none after 2nd, until March 21st, +11 days.Β I have had occasional dizziness in past, nothing major, comes and goes.Β On night of 3/21 a very strange dizziness woke me up, have had continued symptom since that night.Β Will mostly go away for short periods, but comes back strong.Β Stopped taking some HBP meds thinking that it might be that, but 3 days later still same dizziness (starting to take meds again).Β I can get around relatively well but it takes effort.Β I can still walk straight line with eyes closed so I don't think it's middle ear.Β Hoping to be rid of this soon, appreciate information on others feeling these symptoms - best to all.Β Dario
Thanks for the response andΒ I am very sorry to hear that you are struggling with these side effects and pray you start feeling better soon!Β These symptoms sound a lot like Vestibular Migraine and PPPD (the same conditions I was diagnosed with in June, 2020) I wonder if you might benefit from some of the same treatments that I have been using.Β Check out Dr. Beh www.thedizzyneurologist.com; the Dizzy Cook at www.dizzycook.com and Joey RemenyiΒ at www.seekingbalance.com.au.Β Incredible resources for getting your life back.Β Β
After reading all of these posts, I am very hesitant to get the vaccine as I already battle these same symptoms daily and can't imagine making them even worse by taking the vaccine.
Β
I hope and pray everyone starts feeling better soon!
Doing much worse today 12 days out. Iβve developed huge swings of anxiety seemingly out of nowhere with a low heart rate and feeling like Iβm constantly feeling with low BP/low blood sugar issues and never ending brain fog. I feel sick without actually βfeelingβ sick, that weird headspace where you donβt get dopamine from anything. Walking feels so odd I feel like a robot. Not feeling like myself at all, doctor has told me to go to urgent care so I am going today. Bracing myself for them to tell me itβs anything but the shot.
Β
I have had anxiety in the past but I have never felt βsickβ like this in my 30 years up until I got this shot.
@thenystagmus About 2 weeks after first dose of moderna,Β had vertigo which lasted a few days after I did the epley maneuver a few times. After second dose, about 2 weeks later, vertigo again. Did epley several times over several days...no help. Saw a physical therapist twice, he did not help me. Saw an ENT who referred me to a specialist in vertigo had maneuvers for horizontal canal . Then saw her again as dizziness persisted, had epley maneuver. I still have mild dizziness especially in the morning. Will see her again in three days for further assessment. Have been battling this for over a month now.
Interesting Article (see link below) showing neurological issues caused by the Covid-19 Virus; but also from the Vaccine.
"In early vaccine development, there were extremely rare reports of unexplained neurological illness following COVID-19 vaccination, but regulators found no evidence the vaccines caused the illness."Β
Β There were reports; but they were dismissed? However, all of these VEDA posts show a direct correlation of neurological issues such as Dizziness/Vertigo after taking the Covid-19 Vaccine.Β

@annasegreto I too am having dizziness post second Pfizer vaccine, mine is bending over, turning my head, leaning over, sleeping. In other words everything but walking is messed up! I know I have no blood pressure problems and wonder if I am the only one experiencing this? I am 62, in great health other than this.
