@annasegreto did the ENT tell you why the vaccine is causing the dizziness?  So, have you been feeling dizziness in the morning for 1 month?

Same here.  It Is one week after the first dose and it’s been like this for 21 days.  Trying to delay the second dose and may cancel if it gets worst.

BTW, I found a Modena fact sheet (same for Pfizer) on www.fda.gov/media/144638/, that states dizziness symptom is called a “severe allergic” effect. Moderna recommends that patients not take the second dose.

Did you get another side effects after the second dose?

I got my phizer 1st shot 10 days ago. I got a matalic taste and it seemed the shot went right to my brain. I felt off and dizzy & unbalanced & a headache & in a fog since then. I do have a thyroid disorder & epstein Barr. I’m Not able to do daily activities like clean, cook , gym or drive. Ibuprofen doesn’t seem to lift it. I take vitamins daily. Everything in my body that was suppressed reactivated since the shot like tinnitus, hot flashes that I had under control with hormone patches and shoulder tendinitis with impingement that I had under control with cortisone shots. I was going to take a course of prednisone but it said could interfere with vaccines and since I only had the one vaccine and will not get 2nd vaccine I need to keep the immunity that I have. No one else I know had a problem with the shot other then mild symptoms for 2 days. I wish I knew if this damage is temporary or permanent. I’m glad to have found this group and will post if and when I feel better. I wanted to wait until the vaccine was out a little longer but Covid would be a hideous thing to catch so I rolled the dice. I miss my old self and good health. It’s only been 10 days I can’t imagine another 10. I wish everyone one here well

UPDATE: Went to the hospital last night as I was getting intense chills and bbm was high again. Felt real weird. All test came back normal and Doctor is pinpointing it to vaccine. All he could recommend is hydrate and rest since everything was normal. I feel ok but just shaky. I'm on week 3.

I will not be getting 2nd dose. My teaching job is not mandating it. If I do decide to go back since I keep having issues with my health

After seeing all these posts about dizziness post vaccination, there has to be some correlation. I received my first Pfizer vaccination January 21st. No immediate side effects until 3 days after when I got a severe vertigo attack. I was bedridden for the entire day. The next day I had to take a sick day from work. The vertigo transitioned to dizzy spells, tinnitus, headaches and a general unwell feeling. They would come in waves. In addition, I was having a right earache that would happen every once in a while and would wake me up at night. Went to Urgent Care on February 1st for a COVID rapid test just to make sure  I wasn't infected. Negative results. Family doctor visit the next day. Prescribed meclizine which helped but would make me useless for work. In the meantime, I was alternating between ibuprofen and acetaminophen every few hours which seems to help blunt the dizziness. Went back to Urgent Care on February 15th (President's Day) and was diagnosed with otitis media. Went on a course of augmentin for 10 days. It didn't help with the dizzy spells. Went for a PCR COVID test February 18th with negative results. Family doctor visit March 1st. Prescribed allegra and levofloxacin. Still taking the allegra but never took the levofloxacin. If you look at the list of side effects (including ruptured tendons and death), it would make anyone not want to take it. Also got an order for a MRI with/without contrast and MRA. MRI with/without contrast and MRA done on March 10th. Normal results, no AVMs nor tumors (yeah!). Visit with ENT specialist March 17th. Hearing test shows slight decrease in high frequency hearing associated with age. Balance test normal. Scheduled for a VNG (videonystamography) test April 6th.

Interestingly, I have a friend who has gone through the same situation after getting two doses of Pfizer vaccine. His VNG test came back normal last week. Next step for him might be a visit to a neurologist. I'm also keeping that in mind if my VNG comes back normal.

BTW, foregoing the second vaccination of Pfizer.

Hi @purplehaze96, dizziness occurred for me 1 week after the first dose. It’s been like this for 21 days and waking up in the morning is worst.  primary doc thinks it’s vertigo with no history of it?

The Moderna /Pfizer fact sheet says that the vaccine causes dizziness and weakness, a severe allergic reaction.  The dizziness occurs rough 10% of the time, go to link www.fda.gov/media/144414

 It also says that the dizziness occurs a few minutes to an hour after injection.  That is not true for a lot of people on this site.

What’s the longest during anyone been dealing with the dizziness? Has it been cleared up for anyone?

THANK YOU for your feedback!

Had 1st Pfizer dose March 1, felt "off" the following day, but no dramatic symptoms like I'd heard about. A few days later, started feeling dizzy to the point where I wondered if I should drive. Also felt more light-sensitive, like the sun was brighter than it should be, and a kind of metallic taste in my mouth. Weird. It all seemed to go away but got 2nd shot March 25 and it all came back! Zero other symptoms, not even tenderness of arm. Today, March 29, went to doctor for separate reason and mentioned it to him, asked if it could be related to the vaccine. He was completely unconcerned (don't you love that in a doc?) said he didn't know if it was related to vaccine and told me to "wait and see what happens". I sure hope this goes away, scary and inconvenient!

@ttshia how are you now? My symptoms are similar to yours and I'm feeling cautious about getting a second dose.

@michaelk

Hi Michael,

Thank you for the info.  I am now almost 2 weeks from the vertigo onset and 3 weeks from the second Moderna shot.  The vertigo has subsided but I still get tinges when I tilt my head or lie on my side.  I'm learning to be a back sleeper, however, I did notice this morning that I could roll over on my left side without the room spinning, but not my right.  So I'm hoping that ever-so-incrementally the post-vaccine vertigo symptoms will continue to subside and go away completely.  In the meantime, I'm learning to manage the condition.  Mentally I don't surrender into nausea from the dizziness knowing that my body does not need to purge from some kind of intestinal parasite or whatever.

Initially I took the subscription equivalent of Dramamine, but only did that for a couple days to give my body the chance to resolve this on its own.  So far, so good.

I've contacted the VAERS department of the CDC and filed an incident report.  I'm 72 and healthy as a horse, but do take BP medicine (Lisinopril), so high blood pressure may be a contributing factor to the vaccine side effect.  My older sister who is 77 got her first injection but because she also is on Lisinopril for BP I cautioned her from my experience a week after the second injection to perhaps considering not doing the second.  So far she's fine from the first.

I've concluded based on what I've read on this site and from friends who have also experienced vertigo after injection that this vertigo reaction isn't in our head (no pun intended).  I'm convinced the vaccine is definitely incidental to the vertigo reaction, not coincidental.

Be well.

@joerescen

I agree with you about the cause and effect. I submitted an incident report as well, and I am afraid to get the 2nd dose of the Pfizer shot. My greatest concern is not so much having side effects, but rather, that they become permanent because of the vax. It is my worst nightmare to have the nightmare forever play out inside my head. Yikes.
