@mt53072

I had dizziness and a bobble head for about 3 days, with strange tinnitus and horror-movie sounds that scared me. It all cleared up after a few days, but I'm scared to get the 2nd dose.

I called Moderna, they said that me feeling this way is normal and that avg reactions in the 40k person study were 3-5 days but there were long symptom outliers.

Going to urgent care in an hour, will post doctors reaction as my doctor has told me that that it’s not vaccine related, which it most certainly is.

@megan The 80% effective doesn't last much past the 3 week period before the 2nd dose. Below is a quote (from https://www.statnews.com/2021/03/29/real-world-study-by-cdc-shows-pfizer-and-moderna-vaccines-were-90-effective/)..and I'm thinking at this point given all the incidents being reported in this forum, that I may wait a few months until the vaccines are improved and perhaps even pass FDA testing, before I try again.

The study suggested that even the first dose of vaccine was 80% effective at preventing infection, starting from two weeks after receipt of that dose. That estimate, however, only applies to the brief period until the second dose was administered. The study was not designed to test how well the vaccine works if an individual does not receive the second dose.

Update: Hi everyone. I did go ahead and get the 2nd Pfizer 5 days ago. It absolutely made my symptoms worse. I went from miserable but functional, to miserable and totally not functional. I can't drive, sleep well, eat. The nausea is awful, the vertigo constant. Taking care of my kids has become very difficult. I'm hoping for some relief eventually, but at my previous dr. visit, I was told to just wait it out. Don't want to waste anymore money. I'm worried this will never end, like we all are I guess. Sorry I dont have any good news to report.

I'm so sorry we are all feeling this way! I researched Pfizer side effects before getting the vax and much of what we're talking about wasn't mentioned in any way to the degree that so many of us are feeling it. I wanted to add to my earlier side-effect post that I am still glad I took both doses, as I was wildly concerned about contracting COVID and do feel a huge sense of relief and safety now. The social isolation and homebound year have taken a much greater toll on me than the side effects I'm experiencing now, and I can only hope upon hope we will all be side-effect free soon. I agree that walks outside help balance the dizziness, as well as provide exercise, fresh air, and distraction. Also helps with sleep!

@asimps I’m so sorry!  Thank you for sharing.  All of my doctors have assured me no matter how bad I felt it’s temporary.  Hoping you see a little improvement every day.  It sure should help if we knew what it was about the vaccine that was causing this!

@terese87

The doctor at the urgent care also did not believe me when I said I believe my dizziness was a result of the vaccine. The ENT's office also did not believe me when I was making an appointment over the phone. Very frustrating since there is data to prove that COVID itself can cause vertigo.

Hello everyone.

I received the first Pfizer dose March 18th and have been experiencing dizziness/vertigo three days after that. Meclizine has been helping but it is still there. I will be seeing an ENT soon to see what I should do about the second dose, but every medical professional has been dismissive about my symptoms, claiming there is no way the vaccine could have caused this. The only time I have ever experienced vertigo was when I drank Kombucha. I have a history of PCOS and take birth control to help, but I do not see how that has any correlation to vertigo :/

Hello, new to the forum. Got my 1st moderna shot 10 days ago. First 5 days arm hurt real bad. It faded then got lightheaded after 7 days. Still light headed. Just wondering how long this last? Thanks

@Punkrockmom

Has anyone had any issues with rashes, tingling sensations, or numbness like in your hands or face?
