@annasegreto it says in the checklist you have to know that dosage of the vaccine. I don’t know this

@kathleen-stross I have been kicking myself for allowing myself to get talked into it this early. A year ago I thought, it'll be 18 months easy before a safe and effective vaccine is ready for the public. I had it in mind that I wouldn't get it until summer, after more work had been done. Went and got the first dose March 18. It hit me, my error, the minute I read the paperwork they hand you AFTER the shot and saw "this has not been approved by the FDA".

Major facepalm, instant regret. I knew better. I have a vestibular disorder already since 2005.

Six days later I was standing in church and I began to feel off and left immediately. Had dizziness and cognitive dysfunction and brain fog and had  to stay in bed most of 3 days.

To those who have never experienced these things before, rest is best until you can move around without falling over. Your brain isn't functioning well enough; it's navigational systems are offline.

I had the vertigo as I mentioned about a week ago. It lasted six days and the next day it was gone. I feel great now.

@kimberlyloomis I had tingling and numbness in my hands.  It did subside though after a week or so.

This is a link to an early summary released of reported reactions to Covid vaccines Dec 20-Jan21, so early on that there aren't results for # 2 Moderna. It lists dizziness reported as a side effect for #1 Pfizer & #1 Moderna at around 16%, 8% for #2 Pfizer. I'd like to see the following months' summarized reports. I don't know how to find those releases, but maybe someone else does? Oh, and that's those percentages of all the reported side effects (not of all the person's vaccinated).

@thenystagmus I did the epley maneuver myself when I first experienced vertigo but it did not help. I then saw a physical therapist who tested my vestibular system and determined that I did not have vertigo despite the fact that I knew that I had vertigo! I then saw an ENT who referred me to an audiologist who also specializes in balance issues. She determined that I had crystals in the horizontal canal of my inner ear and did the BBQ roll maneuver; that did help but a few days later, the dizziness persisted so I returned to her and she determined that the crystals had moved to the posterior canal and did the epley maneuver. I still have mild dizziness which is annoying at best. I am seeing her again on Thursday and plan to give her the link to this website so that she can learn what I have learned about the link between the vaccine and vertigo/dizziness. None of those I have seen thought that there was a link.  It is really important to report this side effect of the vaccine to: https://vaers.hhs.gov/   so that physicians can be informed of this side effect.

@sandram this same thing has happened to me after the last two flu vaccines. Within 14 days of receiving those shots, I got horrible vertigo with nausea and vomiting. It was debilitating. I was in bed for a week both times. I had to hold onto the wall just to get myself to the toilet. After that, the dizziness didn’t go away. It lingered for at least 6 months. My Dr. said that my body is having an autoimmune reaction to something in the vaccine. Since it has happened to me twice, she told me never to get a vaccine again. So I can’t get the Covid vaccine, but it sounds like the same thing is happening to everyone posting here.

@atp223 from what I understand from my Doctor, the vertigo/dizziness is because our bodies are having an autoimmune response to an ingredient or combination of ingredients in the vaccine.

Update to my previous reply. Only experienced vertigo a few mornings. Dizziness started getting better when I began taking strong antiinflamatory meds. Tylenol wasn't doing the trick. Besides vertigo and dizziness, I did have achyness a couple of days, diarrhea 1 day, swollen and sore lymph nodes which went away in 2 weeks, covid arm which lasted 3 days, and now I have been experiencing mouth ulcers and cold sores for 1 1/2 weeks. I have always suffered from cold sores, but have had them under control for several years by using mouthwash 2x/day, but that doesn't seem to be working this time. My 2nd moderna is scheduled for tomorrow.  I will not be getting it as my body obviously has still not recovered from the 1st one.

First of all, thank you all for sharing your experiences! I found this forum after my first dose of the Pfizer vaccine caused vertigo 2 days after the shot. I had never had anything like that, and it was a relief to find I was not the only one! Luckily my reaction has not been severe.

The vertigo lasted a few days and I have been very tired, brain-foggy, and a bit short of breath since.

I had my 2nd shot on Sunday (3 weeks after the 1st), and I was really worried that I'd have a bad reaction. I was determined to get the vaccine anyway, since for me it was worth it to be protected from the virus.

I actually feel better than I did after the first dose. Tired and achey for sure, but no vertigo (yet anyway) after 2 days. I feel really relieved to be vaccinated.

I'm taking vitamin C, drinking ginger tea and lots of water, and getting lots of rest.

I know everyone is different, but I wanted to share some good news. 🙂 I am a 55 year old woman with no major health issues. Best wishes to everyone during this difficult time.

@wolf1476  thank you SO much for approving me for access to this site -- It is SUCH a comfort to know that I am NOT losing my mind and that other's are also experiencing dizziness as an effect (potentially) from the Covid injections -- Thank you!!

@maxe1990 any follow up on the MRI? I have had similar symptoms. ENT thinks due to hearing loss that appeared from my testing with the audiologist plus tinnitus and dizziness that I likely have an inner ear infection. Just started on a steroid and hoping that helps. This has been going on for over 2 weeks and effecting my work etc.

There have been other posts on this site which have notated that Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) can cause a deadly anaphylactic allergic reaction from the Covid-19 Vaccine; but could the PEG in the Pfizer and Moderna Vaccine also be causing the autoimmune reactions that so many are suffering with including prolonged vertigo and dizziness?

Below is an interesting article that includes several links to research from studies over the last ten+ years establishing the negative side effects of using PEG in vaccines:
