Hi everyone.. I havnt been here for some months now and was very surprised to see it still going.  To recap I had my 2nd pfizer jab on 10th April and after 3 days headaches started - following on from that I am my first ever viiolent vertigo attack on the 29th April in the middle of the night.  To cut a long story short, initial tests were done for stroke etc all of which came back clear but ever since then I have had a headache every day.  It goes at night but returns within an hour of getting up.  My neck is also very sore and my shoulders tight -  the headaches also lead to unsteadiness on my feet and a general feeling of being unwell - the longer I sit though the worse the neck pain becomes.  Its like a vicious circle.  I cut out a med I was taking thinking that might have some effect, had an eye test and blood test for my ongoing thyroid problem.  All of these didn't change the headache situation.  I had an MRI in July which came back normal and the ENT dept cant now see me until 7th October (I did request an earlier appointment as July to October is a very long time but was told only telephone before october which is no good when he needs to see the vertigo eye movements which are still happening on my right side)

Anyway, yesterday I had my first appointment with an osteopath (out of desperation).  She was very good and said my muscles were very tight on my neck and back and shoulders .  she gave me my first treatment and I have to say I did feel better directly after but today the headache is back with vengence and the pain in my shoulders.

i am at a loss to know now whether it was the vaccine or just inactivity because of the vertigo which was debilitating for many weeks.  All i do know is that it has changed my life radically and in a way I wasn't expecting.  My next choice is do i have the booster?  I live with a vulnerable person so for his sake i guess I will have to.  It will either make or break the situation - lets hope it doesn't break me

Thanks for reading 🙂

@m6x47l are you fully healed after the steroids? Are you off and ok now? How long since your shot? I’m 18 days out.

May 22 was my last shot. Symptoms started a week later.
A week of steroids and I was fine. Back to full duty since then.

@nehru1 thanks for your response I ended up in hospital last night getting test CT scan of the head all clear still hasn't eased my mind I fly out to Greece in 2 weeks with my partner and 2 children donubthink this is a good idea anything I can do to help myself I just keep punishing myself for getting second dose because I was such a happy person now I don't want to leave the house crying all the time xx

I was spiraling down this same path of regret, but I finally determined it was unhealthy and could only make things worse, not better.  We can’t blame ourselves for getting the vaccine.  It came highly recommended by doctors and our institution.

Plus, the risk was there on both sides.  Sure, there was an unknown risk to taking the vaccine, but there was known risk to staying unvaccinated and getting Covid.  We knew Covid can cause all of these symptoms and more (plus death) in far greater numbers than the vaccine side effects.  We got unlucky, but that doesn’t mean we made the wrong decision or a stupid decision.

My unvaccinated friend just lost two healthy friends to Covid and it came out of nowhere. She is now torn because she knows my experience, but she also sees the virus ravaging her community and wonders if she’s next.  There are no easy decisions here folks.  I, for one, am convinced getting Covid would’ve done me in.  If my body reacted in such a frenzy to a dead version of the virus, I can’t even imagine how it could have coped with the real deal.

This doesn’t really bring a solution to our symptoms, but I do think the second-guessing, the regret, and blaming oneself only make things worse. Hopefully we all can learn to shut the door on those negative thoughts and just keep the faith that our bodies will pull through even if it takes a while.  Hang in there!

@ohjason I’ve started taking allergy meds and it significantly helped me, I don’t feel anxious or adrenaline rushes or other symptoms. Plus a low histamine diet really helps. All the symptoms you just mentioned I’m experiencing, you’re definitely not alone, but the allergy meds is a life saver, you should try it

@ttoth0210 hi! Very interesting post. I had an electronystagmography (i recommend to take this test) and i dont have vestibular neuritis, but the diagnostic is also Vestibular Migraine. Probably due to the vaccine is a much more Dizzinness migraine , which also causes extreme fatigue. I really have read a lot about it and the symptoms resemble a lot. Also Lorazepam is what helps me the most, which makes me think that the whole neurologic system is a bit crazy with the vaccine.

@nehru1 What allergy meds are you taking?

Tonight I am having also burning skin and super light intermittent joint pain. I have almost 3 weeks without symptoms or really light symptoms.

I just thought that I should also try allergy meds next.

@estonia I take piriton to sleep and half of it during the day. I’m going to start trying claritin, it’s supposed to be one of the better anti histamine allergy meds

Hey everyone,

Having a rough day and hoping for some encouragement.

I saw another ENT today for a second opinion.  Apparently I leaned heavily to the right during a balance test and he wants me to undergo a series of further vestibular tests for balance. Waiting to get those scheduled.

However, he told me that in the meantime I'm having migraines and prescribed a series of high dose steroid for 10 days.  He also gave me a bunch if pamphlets on migraines.

When I asked him how I could develop migraines overnight (I have no history of chronic headache), he said it can happen and that it's not related to the vaccine...even though this all started the day after getting my second dose.

He also told me I need to stay away from screens, which is particularly devastating because my job depends on them.

I could handle such a recommendation were it something short term, but the way he made it sound, he seems to think this may be a new normal for me.

I just can't help but think the headaches and dizziness have some relationship to the vaccine given they started the next day.  And that fact gives me some hope they will dissipate over time as many have reported they have here.

Today marks the beginning of my twelfth week since receiving my second dose of Moderna.  I received it at 4pm on June 29th, and beginning June 30, I've had daily headaches, dizziness, fatigue and nausea.  So far, the symptoms have not changed or receded. Nevertheless, I continue to hope they will the further out I get.

Please, if anyone has had similar diagnosis but came out the other side, please let me know.  I really need to hear it right now.

UPDATE

got the vaccine mid june

-Racing heart/ palpitations better after 2.5months about 80%

-energy level starting to get better 3 months now 60-70%

-less anxiety for couple of days now 70%

-tingling and needling now 80%

What I’ve been doing is healthy diet, lots of sleep at night, walks and supplements for heart (L glutathione, hawthorn, ergypaine, q10 ubiqionol) and for brain functioning (Alfa lipon, ergy fosforyl and melatonin)

recovery is slow and therefor mentally hard but we’ll get there!!

good luck to all!

@emilija1 - I've started having night sweats and some burning up / sweat forever (not forever but wets my clothes. It started 3 or 4 months ago. I've been through menopause so was familiar with the days sweats but I seem to be mostly through menopause. So 3-4 months ago I wake in the early morning to a wet shirt and neck. Also such sweating during the day that I have to change clothes. Yes, I got the second pfizer shot 4 months ago so I wonder if the intensity of the sweats is related. Nice to hear others might have the same reaction because it's better than many other reasons (e.g., cancer or thyroid problems).

@dizzyfromvaccine Is it possible to get contact information of the practitioner who prescribed supplements that helped you. My two friends are having similar adverse reactions but I would like to take these with some supervision.

Has anyone developed stuffy congested sinuses as a symptom/side effect from the vax?  I’m 6 weeks out from my first P vax and have been battling with dizziness, head pressure, full ears and of course just plain feeling yucky. All of a sudden the last 2 days my sinuses are swollen and congested?  I don’t normally have allergies this time of year. I thought maybe it was another damn side effect appearing???
