@nick Nick I just want to tell you a few stories about this vaccine. One they told me I had cancer not once but twice! based on lab results. I don’t. Also told my friend who also is going through what we are she had a rare disorder that she would have for the rest of her life. It went away. Even though the test results show this. Definitely get tested again down the road. When you’re not symptomatic.

@yoki Hi, I see you had your 2nd dose 8 months after the 1st.  Did your doctor say it was ok? No one at the vaccine site mentioned the time between doses? I'm asking because I had side effects from my 1st Pfizer dose (depersonalization, nausea, dizziness) and I'm due for my 2nd dose tomorrow (4 weeks from 1st) and I don't think I'm ready for it.  I've read that you can have the 2nd dose up to 6 weeks after the 1st, that's why I'm curious if no one mentioned to you the long wait.  Where are you from? I'm in the U.S.A.  Wishing you the best and hope to hear from you soon.

Nobody so far mentioned anything about the length of time between the first and second dose. Not my doctor, not his nurse practitioner, not the pharmacist who gave me the second shot. No one. All people seem to care about are the two stickers on your CDC card. The protocol seems to call for two doses of Pfizer or Moderna. Go figure. PS I'm also in the States.

@kenny hi, I had Covid whilst dealing with my vaccine symptoms! I have only had 1 dose of the vaccine, Covid was fine. I think I felt poorly for around 2 days, no cough nothing! Honestly I don’t think I would of even realised it was Covid as my vaccine symptoms were so much more intense!

@tarx Thank you for sharing! As many are worried that vaccine symptoms will affect our immune system ability etc. Are your vaccine symptoms mild? Mind sharing? Hope more will share this and any recovery stories. More positivity 🙂

@kenny no my vaccine symptoms are quite bad tbh, dizziness, tinnitus, chest pain and tightness, facing heart rate etc. but Covid was fine honestly I think because of how bad my vaccine symptoms are Covid was nothing compared to that

@lucaf very similar story to me, 42 M. How are you now? I had my 2nd Pfizer 11/8/21, and then sometime in the following three weeks I became aware I had weakness in my left arm (injection arm) and had fasciculations.

For days I had trouble sensing what was wrong. It felt like I had anxiety or was wired on coffee, and I realised eventually I had little bits of muscles firing off all over my body. A mixture of twitches, and what I now know to be fasciculations (lots of adjacent sinews of muscles firing to create a rippling appearance). This lead me "down the rabbit hole" as they say, I now know what ALS and MND are (and frankly would prefer I didn't).

I never suspected Pfizer until firstly my GP (21/9), and then a specialist neurologist (28/9), and then a neurologist administering the EMG (5/10) all suggested it could be linked to the RNA vaccines because they had seen many similar cases, but are not free to report them/ suggest a connection. EMG was clear. As of today 23/10, 2.5 months from my 2nd vax, and almost 2 months since the twitches and fasciculations started, they have eased but still return, particularly after exertion or stress/ pressure.

To complicate matters I sprained my ankle (for the first time in 20 years) while running about 3 weeks ago and this drove fear into me that I might have early muscle wasting or drop foot, and that I may indeed still be developing MND/ ALS. I will get a 2nd opinion in a month or so if the fasciculations haven't gone. They are driving me nuts, waking me up at night, and I sometimes then need valium (having never been prescribed anything other than antibiotics in my life) to relax and get back to sleep.

I hope you are well and have recovered. Thought I'd share this as another "anecdata" that might help others. It seems the health organisations in Australia are actively resisting capturing and monitoring these effects (fear of antivaxes), maybe similar in UK?

Hi first time poster long time follower. My story is similar to everyone else. My question for all of you is anyone thinking about getting the booster? I fear getting it because 6 months out I am still having mild symptoms. I am also scared to not get it. If anyone has please let me know how it went.

Thank you for the response! @tarx How are you feeling now? Did getting covid worsen the symptoms or same in your opinion? Hope you feel better! It means that having more side effects doesn’t affect our immune system strength that much I guess.

@kenny no when I had Covid my symptoms were the same! They never really changed which is good! Think I’m having a relapse atm but was still the same from Covid so that’s a good thing!

@lmkk I tested positive for Covid after my first Moderna shot in March.  My symptoms in addition to the extreme dizziness, were fatigue and tinnitus.  I also got shingles a few months later and my joints felt off (my knee dislocated slightly while just standing when that hasn't happened in over 20 years). I do think I had Covid in January because my sense of smell was really off, and I normally have a very good sense of smell. I took a PCR test at that time and it came back negative, but supposedly these tests are really not accurate at all.

I've gotten better over time although it's not a linear recovery. For those of you just experiencing this, be prepared that you may feel better but you can get a relapse. It's very discouraging when that happens! I had a slight relapse in early August and the tinnitus is more pronounced  now than the dizziness.  I am better but I don't feel 100%.

My theory is if you had Covid and got the shot (and many of us may have had asymptomatic Covid), it brings about Covid like symptoms or worse.  I do think my tinnitus is related to the vaccine and I am not risking it worsening with a 2nd shot. My doctor also thinks it's the vaccine that has caused the tinnitus and dizziness and wrote me a note for work, but it's not good enough for the HR departments here where it is mandated to have full vaccination since the CDC and FDA don't recognize it as an adverse side effect.  I have a reprieve until the end of the year.

I fear for those health care workers and others who may have natural immunity from Covid who are forced to get the shot now.

Take good care, everyone.  The box breathing helps me. It is also supposed to help vagus nerve and your body in general.

Here are symptoms from the vaccine that have been reported.
