I received my 2nd shot yesterday and 1 hour later, I had vertigo/dizziness, tinnitus, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. I went to ER since it was very intense (more so than 1st shot), but they didn't do anything but take BP, blood work and gave me a Benadryl and IV - a waste of time. They said they are seeing a lot of people with these reactions, but it is getting de-prioritized in triage.
I took a Meclizine 25mg before bed and was fine through the night and all day today. I'm hoping that I won't have any more issues. If so, then I'll feel as if I made the right decision for getting #2. Of course, it's a personal decision and I'm not advocating either way.
@Punkrockmom - yes, I filled out a VAERS report and also a report on Pfizer's site too.
Note: after 1st shot, I had the same symptoms but more elevated tinnitus than this 2nd one.
Anyone take a steroid pack and it help?
@bonniek Hi Bo, what did they give you that you took before migraine went away? I head is killing me.
@mimimoo I wonder if folks experiencing this in the left ear got the vaccine in the left arm (or if there is a connection to the arm you received the shot in vs. what ear is worst/most affected)? Would love to hear others' experiences of this...
Hi! I’m posting because I haven’t had the vaccine yet, and I’m really concerned, because my doctor can’t say definitively if I should get the vaccine.
I am a 37 year-old female that was diagnosed with PPPD(Persistent Postural Perceptual Dizziness). I am dizzy for the most part 24/7, plus there is a panic/anxiety element to this vestibular condition. I struggle with panic attacks.
I know of someone with my exact condition that caught Covid, survived, but will not take any vaccine for fear of it worsening their PPPD.
Does anyone have any insight? Thanks in advance.
Out of the blue, with nothing new in my life other than the first dose of Pfizer covid vaccine, I was awakened at 5 am with severe vertigo and nausea. Now, almost two weeks later, the vertigo is dampened but remains. As I believe in the self-healing ability of our bodies, I remain confident that this will pass but DARN! it's taking a while!
@icepinkcat For what it's worth, in my case, I got both vaccine doses in my left arm and my right ear seems most affected.
I have seen my ENT the first time after my tinnitus and vertigo-dizziness started 7 week ago. I had hearing test and the ruled out that my tinnitus is due to my ear problem. Now i have to see chiropractor and fix my neck. The ENT suggest to take a small dose Prednisone for 6 days.
Have you head about Silencin? I saw this long presentation about this medication as panacea for tinnitus. Also i found a clinic which for $8000 will fix it in 4 years. Looks like ringing ears of Americans make a lot of money to some businesses. I don’t deal with such. I started acupuncture, was dizzy after the first session but then had impression that the sound became lower for a while.
Let’s not give up!
hi I received second dose 1/21 and have had vertigo like symptoms since end of January. After full ENT and neuro work up nothing was found to be abnormal. I did take a steroid pack ... in early March. I still have vertigo. It may have helped somewhat but it was not a cure.
I hope everyone is feeling better each and every day! I know we are all concerned about the neurological side effects from the Covid-19 Vaccines which are being reported on the VEDA site. I found the below review published on March 29th, 2021 listed in the National Center for Biotechnology Information that may be of interest.
The potential neurological effect of the COVID‐19 vaccines: A review
Full Review: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/ane.13417
The review states, with respect to the Covid-19 mRNA Vaccines (Pfizer & Moderna):
- The doubt rises in these carriers, considering about 2% of the people had a severe fever and other transient adverse effect at the local infection site.46 From the limited data available, it is clear that further understanding of adverse effect in this platform is required. There are concerns of long‐term post‐vaccination inflammation or autoimmune reaction behind the robust reactogenicity of it.

Not dealing with such sounds very wise. I wouldn't, either. Both sound like a way to separate the desperate from their money.
@pwoodallsubmotted mine today too. Really necessary this is made aware. It’s very interesting and informative what things others are trying to get some relief. I can just manage my symptoms and am afraid something I try might set it off more. Hope you find some relief soon.
