@lili23 Hi Lili, I'm waiting for Novavax. Overall, the side effects look lower. I'm planning to try it without Prednisone (and then take it if I have similar side effects from 1st dose). It makes sense you might try Pfizer since it's lower dose than moderna. I had Pfizer so feel like I need to try something else. I'll keep you posted. Let me know if you try a 2nd dose too. Best wishes.
For those who’ve had the AstraZeneca or other brand of the Adenovirus type Vaccine. I copied and pasted this information from a hospital website. The upshot is our bodies are done processing the vaccine anytime between 6 and 12 weeks after a dose so symptoms should subside 12 weeks at very latest.
Adenovirus-based vaccine
- Although COVID-19 adenovirus vaccines are new, this type of vaccine has been studied in people before, and another adenovirus-based vaccine was approved for use in Europe in those 1 year of age and older starting in the summer of 2020. That vaccine is one of two doses of an Ebola vaccine, and it uses the same type of adenovirus as the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
- Adenovirus-based vaccines deliver DNA to the nucleus of the cell, which is used to make mRNA that serves as a blueprint for making the protein. DNA is more stable and lasts longer than mRNA, which is evidenced by strengthening of the immune response for one to two months after vaccination. However, studies of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine have shown that if people get a second dose six weeks after the first dose, they have lower immune responses than if they get the second dose 12 weeks after the first dose. Because the second dose generates memory responses, it is better to administer after the primary immune response is fully developed. As such, the improved responses after 12 weeks instead of six weeks suggests that the vaccine is done being processed between six and 12 weeks after a dose is given.
What when someone has taken only 1 dose and doesn't plan to take the 2nd since the body is messed up!
@sarapHello
I was vaccinated with astrazeneca a month ago and I have a ringing in my ear that does not go away. The same thing has also happened to my sisters and they have told us that our body has become inflamed after receiving the vaccine. My sister has swollen lymph nodes in her neck and armpit and tinnitus and I have an inflamed temporomandibular joint and tibnitus as well. We have never had tinnitus before, has anyone had the Astrazeneca vaccine? Does this noise leave my ear?
Thank you very much to all
How are the both of you feeling now?
I too took AZ and have ringing in my ears along with pain and hell lot of other symptoms.
Has the tinnitus gone away for you both? Have y'all totally recovered from all symptoms?
Does anyone know how long 2 shots of the mrna vaccine would last in our body? I got AstraZeneca
AZ is not mRna vaccine, it is Adenovirus
Hi all. Just found this forum after googling covid vaccine dizziness. Very relieved to learn that others are experiencing this. I am 52 years old, male, fit, healthy-as-bear, no underlying health issues. Big vaccination proponent and am very grateful to have received shot-1 of AstraZeneca vaccine 5 days ago. 12 hours after my shot I had night sweats & chills followed by a moderate headache + bad body aches which lasted about 36 hours . I did not worry about this at all - normal symptoms. However, now on day 4, I have a very annoying dizziness and brain grogginess with a "heavy" feeling in the back of my head. I never get dizzy. Ever. So I thought I would google covid vaccine symptoms dizziness to see if there was any connection, and found this forum. Signed up just a few minutes ago so I could share, in case it helps others.
Hi all. Sharing this update in case it helps others. After sharing my story of dizziness + brain-fog/brain-grogginess + headaches, a few days ago, on day-4 after my shot-1 of AstraZeneca vaccine, those symptoms persisted, unabated, day-5 and day-6. However, on day-7 feeling much better. Headaches gone. Dizziness gone. Slight brain fog/grog persists but only when I'm at the screen (work station, tablet). Limiting my screen time and taking "eye breaks" to mitigate. Will post again when I am symptom free (fingers crossed). Thanks to all of you for sharing your stories.
How are you now? Have you recovered?
@mina I thought I was the only one I got 2nd shot of AstraZeneca 6th of July and now I have those same symptoms, have you been taking anything that helps?
Have the symptoms gone away?
I had my first AstraZeneca vaccine 12 weeks ago and for the past six weeks have had terrible tinnitus. Can anyone tell me if this eases over time??
Has it gotten better for you?
I was wondering what the general concensus is for people experiencing these symptoms of dizziness, brain fog and general weird pulsing sensations getting better. My sister is experiencing these symptoms, they started about a week after her first astrazeneca jab and its 10 days now since she had it. She is suffering extreme anxiety worrying this will never go away and Im desperately searching for some reassuring information. This site is the only place I've found that discusses these symptoms following the vaccinations!
Has she gotten better?
Hey everyone I joined a few months back and haven’t commented in a while so I wanted to give an update. I too dealt with dizziness, vertigo, brain fog, tinnitus, blurred vision and headaches. I have to say that after a long four months I am symptom free! I will be praying and thinking of all of you, and that you get better soon!
Recovery posts are the best!🤍
May I know what did you do for the tinnitus?
@medee Yes. All good. By day 8, after shot 2, all of my symptoms were gone and did not return. I've been fine since. I hope others have experienced a similar return to normal. Such a coincidence to see your note, today... I went in for my booster shot - Moderna - yesterday (Dec 20) and have been on the couch most of the day today - headaches and body aches only, but no dizziness. Feeling much better, now, 28 hours after the booster shot. I will update if the booster causes any recurrence of the brain issues I experienced after shot 2.
@medee honestly time is what heals. I tried a million supplements and although some helped, they didn’t cure me. Good luck! How long have you been dealing with symptoms?

More than 2 months. Will be 3 on Jan 09th. I did a mistake of taking medicines and my condition worsened in the 2nd month - Nov
You haven't had any relapses? A few in here had those....
How long were you suffering from it until you got cured? Your tinnitus too has got completely cured?
@medee so I had been symptom free for about 2 months and then today I had a few dizzy spells and some ringing in my ear. Nothing nearly as bad as it was for the first 4 months post vaccine, but I went on here today to check updates and it was crazy you messaged me! So, yes a few relapses have occurred here and there since my post a free months ago unfortunately.
What were your symptoms?instability, feeling fatigued, feeling unstable when moving and not moving with triggers of stress, fatigue, end of day, showering, tinnitus increased, headache at times
How long has it been since you got jabbed? last shot was feb 2021
I see you've mentioned you got in once in July and now in Nov. So for how long have you felt better on and off? Any explanation from any doctor why the symptoms returned? it takes up to 1.5 months for things to dissipate. in july and nov i was in 2 situations where exposed to increased germs from being around people where everyone wasn't masked. no reason as to why symptoms returned except balance deficits from migraines. i have a history of migraines as a child at the age of 8-10 that were induced by noise. i get sinus headaches, random headaches, and ocular migraines about 2-3 times a year. supposedly migraines can occur without pain and cause you to have balance issues. i never had this issue before and the only triggers have been when i'm around a bunch of people who aren't masked so i don't try to do this more than the 2 times i've done it since covid started. it doesn't seem to make sense to me. i'm still looking for answers considering i had symptoms after both the first and second jab/shot.
