Has any one tried it, did it work and what device have you used?

My teenage daughter was just diagnosed with PPPD & vestibular migraine after suffering from dizziness since April. We are doing migraine treatments and have an appt with a vestibular PT and are on a wait list for a functional neurologic physiatrist.

In the meantime she can't hardly function. And now it's time for school to start again soon.

I am thinking of trying vagas nerve stimulation with truvaga. I called both gammacore and truvaga today. The devices are actually made by the same parent company. They are almost exactly the same and work the same way except that the truvaga is only 20 volts to the gammacore's 24 Volts. And truvaga is significantly less expensive. My daughter is fairly sensitive, so I think the 20 volts of the truvaga will be sufficient.

Just wondering what other people's thoughts and experiences are.

Thank you

Hi Beth, I'm sorry to hear about your daughter's symptoms. My husband was just diagnosed this week with what we think is BPPV and it's debilitating. I've been wondering about the vagas nerver stimulation as well and wondering if you have tried it yet and if you saw any relief.

I know people that have used Gammacore for migraine but I don’t know of anyone personally that used it for vestibular migraine. Everyone I knew had a good experience with it. Like everything, each person will have a different response to each treatment. I hope you can find something to give her some relief. It’s especially hard when someone young has to go through this.
