Hi @chad3072

How are you feeling, do you still have the dizziness.

My mom 68, is having exactly the same issues like you mentioned.

She started having dizziness and high BP after getting booster shot covishield in Jan30th 2022 , she is in India. She went to Cardiologist, neuologist all tests came negative.

Right now she is taking

She takes BP and dizziness medicines  in the morning and night but nothing seems to work, now her BP is like 139/80 but still have lot of dizziness.

We are so worried about her condition. She was a very active person and now after the covid booster her life has changed.

Can you please share the medication name you took for dizziness.

Any information will be helpful.

Thanks,

Riya

@riya

Hello,

No I haven't. I am lucky, Vertigo comes in morning when I wakeup and roll to the left. Once it passes, it is gone for the day. I am almost afraid to take a nap. Don't take any medication.

It is getting better. I had thought of taking some exercises but doctor talked me out of it. I wish that CDC would produce some studies regarding this. My wife's friends think I just got Vertigo because I am older.

@norty Yes, left side for me too. The onset for me was early March 2020 with a brief vertigo epidsode which now I find out was related to a virus. Every doctor I have seen said it was a virus. I'm assuming it was Covid. I was in Atlanta, GA an indoor concert with someone who was sick 2 days prior to having symptoms. 🙁  Many specialist have informed me that when the room is spinning this is caused by a virus. I got out of bed on my left side. The room was spinning and so was my head but I could NOT walk.  My husband completed the Epley Maneuver and it worked. It was like magic. I could walk again. We then thought it was just the crystals in my ears that needed rebalanced but NOPE.. There is so much more. I have only had one other episode of this type of vertigo happening in my 43years.

Hi everyone.

My vertigo/dizziness started with a virus early March 2020.  I have experienced dizziness, vertigo, vision impairment, balance, pain, numbness and mainly all on one side of my face/eye. I noticed a flare up in symptoms after each phizer shot. The additions symptom I received post vaccine was hormonal imbalance (acne, irregular, frequency and duration changes). I'm in my early 40s and OBGYN says I'm perimenopausal. I go for an ultrasound to R/O any possible cyst or fibriod that could be causing the change in hormones. I was constantly regular prior too.  I explained to my OBGYN that this occurred after my first shot. She claims there hasn't been any reports. That is why I'm sharing here. There is a relationship between the two.

as a side note: Women experience dizziness with hormonal changes normally, let alone adding it to a vestibular disorder. It can be very challenging for us women.

Hi everyone. I am so glad that my friend found this site and informed me about this forum. I had been suffering with dizziness/vertigo for 6 months now and I still have no answer how to cure it. I got my booster shot of pfizer on November 7, 2021 and two weeks later that’s when I noticed a dizziness that feels like my head is falling for just a seconds and back to normal again it’s like a glitch in a computer. It didn’t bother me so much at that time and I thought it was just my vision. I wear eyeglasses so I thought I need to see an eye doctor. So I did set up an eye doctor appointment and here in Oregon where I live, since covid every time you make a doctor’s appointment it takes a month to get the soonest appointment. My eye doctor appointment was scheduled back in Jan 2022 but had to cancel it because I contracted Covid-19. I tested positive on Jan. 10, 2022. I just had a mild symptoms that started with a sore throat, congestions coughing and dizziness. I say it’s mild because I didn’t got hospitalized during covid infection but on my 3rd week of covid infection dizziness was bothersome. So I went so see my doctor and I was diagnosed with serous otitis media. There was fluid in my middle ear my doctor said the fluid will eventually drain on its own and the dizziness will go away. So I went back to work and a week later of working I was rush to the emergency because I had a bad episode of vertigo. They did nothing at the emergency, I was given some medication like muscle reluctant and pseudoephedrine and I was sent home. From that day Every single day I am feeling dizzy. That feeling of like you’re being tossed by the waves and you have no control of the situation and feeling like you are jet log that you feel like you are still up in the clouds. I can not concentrate of doing one thing, I had to stop whatever I was doing when the dizziness gets worse otherwise it gets worser and fell into vertigo. I then learned that dizziness and vertigo are two different thing. And I have both dizziness and vertigo. Every single day is a struggle, it’s debilitating. I had to fight not to fall. Before all this vaccine and covid I have a very good balance, I can walk on a slack line, I have sports like kiteboarding and dirtbiking. I consider myself a very healthy person. I did my routine check ups and lab works regularly. I thought I’d like to share this details with you guys here because it might give us some answers or experts can figure out how to cure this. Taking the pseudoephedrine 120mg helps me a lot, it just makes the dizziness more bearable but I had to stop it because I had been taking it for so long. My doctor recommended a lower doze like 60mg to slowly get out of it. It has been a week with no medication now and I am miserable with this dizziness. I noticed that when I went back to work, it made my dizziness worse like I had pressure in my sinuses and everytime I smell something strong it gives me headache as if like my head is being compressed. So on that week my doctor prescribed me antibiotic. The first course of antibiotic didn’t help but on the second course, my doctor prescribed me a higher dose of antibiotic and prednisone together. And it made a lot of difference. I thought I was better. For one week I feel way better and I was working for a reduced hour of 4 hours a day at that time and the next week I decided to work for 8 hours because I thought I was better. 3 days later of working 8 hours I was back to being miserable again with this constant dizziness. I just decided 2 weeks ago to not go to work for at least a month and see if it will make a difference. I really really want my life back. Few days ago I was seen by an ENT and did kinds of test that he can possibly think of vestibular inner ear disturbances and even had an endoscopy on my nose, since the symptoms I have been experiencing I believe it’s from my ethmoid or sphenoid sinuses and found nothing abnormal in there. My ENT confirmed I have no meniers desease either. I have a scheduled CAT scan on my sinuses couple weeks from now but my ENT is very consistent that his expertise can not be of help anymore. I might be referred to a neurologist next. I already went to my dentist also, knowing I had an impacted tooth that is very close to my sinuses I thought that was the issue but they found no infection and no abnormalities in there. I even went to my eye doctor as well last month and everything was normal. I have a very good primary care doctor as well. For this last couple days I had been feeling sad and my anxiety of having this problem with no cure is rising.
