@lmkk do you have Lyme disease, too?
As far as I'm aware I do not have Lyme disease.
I was doing better again, I started running. First time my R/leg went numb halfway and lasted till the end but did not worsen and stopped after. No feeling of legs being torn off 6 hrs later like in November (I was so so very scared). Went running 2x more then I got ill and LFT showed covid positive (for all 4 of us). It flared everything up but was only really terrible in strength for one day. Rest was constant but mild funny legs/feet, pins and needles, buzzing, numbness, mild brain fog, sudden fatigue and feeling drained on top of usual cold symptoms (sore throat, cough, chills, body aches).
My vax reaction was a thousand times worse and I still do not believe I would have handled covid worse had I not had any jabs. My body aches reminded me of the pains I had when I thought we had covid but they wouldn't test us yet. That time there was no nerve problem. I'll forever blame the jab for that.
I am not fully recovered and I have no idea when I will be. As glad as I am that I can still walk it destroyed me mentally and I am still far from my former self. I believe it was just way too traumatic and it takes a while for such things to heal.
Right now my feet are funky, bit numb bit buzzy who knows I can't even describe it sometimes. But it's easier to ignore and forget about it so I daresay it's improving still as I used to be in constant tears and I am no longer crying all the time now.
I'm going to try and run the last bits of it out of my body this spring/summer and have a normal autumn/winter this year. I went yesterday and the run itself was good. Considering I thought I would never run again I am doing good!
Best wishes to everyone!

How long have you been at this ? What have you taken for supplements? And diet ? Anti-inflammatory? Is time a healer ?what percentage of recovery would you say you are?
I have started a detox/anti inflammatory diet pretty hard core the last couple weeks. I juice every morning, drink protein detox shakes during the day and along w the supplements I have been feeling better again. I still have the vision issues but I almost wonder if the "shaky" vision is from my heart/blood pumping so hard esp if I am dealing with pericarditis. I actually have had a lot of energy recently and have been working out every day and running with no issues besides the quivering with weights or certain movements, which I don't know at this point if it will ever go away. I had an EMG done last week waiting on results. I know they will be normal tho just like every other test! Besides that the nerve pain is gone, along w brain fog I just get the pins and needles ever so often it doesn't phase me anymore, same with my ears ringing or an occasional muscle twitch. I really hope in another few months all the lingering symptoms are gone. Take care and I wish you all the best as well!
@twitch end of august for the first one and second early sept. Pfizer unfortunately. Days after the first jab I was in the hospital w a kidney stone oddly enough. And from there everything just started going haywire in my body.

Glad you doing better ! What exactly were your symptoms again ,sorry , and what protein detox and supplements you take? Any special diet? How long before improving?
@tone I had full body symptoms that would change on a daily basis ranging from
-tingling/numbness
-muscle spasms, muscle twitching
-intense back pain and sharp pains in my head
-shooting nerve pain/shocks
-chest pain
-muscle weakness
-shaky vision
-GI issues
-Brain fog
-arthritic pain in my hands and fingers
-ringing in my ears
-dizzy
3-4 months I would say was the worst of it. I started feeling great in Feb and then March 1 I tested positive for Covid, which really kicked my butt. After that I started getting all of these symptoms again. Slowly over the last couple of weeks they started to taper off again. So Covid must have reactivated something in my body. Safe to say....I will never ever get one of these VX or boosters again it really destroyed my life for a while.
I try to stick to a healthy anti inflammatory diet since every dr has told me the same thing...VX reactions can cause wide spread inflammation from your heart to your nerves etc. And it can take a very long time to get better.
I started juicing every morning, and I take a detox smoothie with Dulse, barley grass, spirulina and wild blueberries which are all really good for nerve inflammation.
I cut out dairy (as much as possible), eggs, processed foods, a lot of breads etc. Added in a lot more protein (fish, chicken, tofu) and veggies. Alcohol also seems to make things worse so I have cut back a lot and try to drink a ton of water/electrolytes. As far as supplements I take so many, I am actually trying to see what I need to continue and what I can stop taking.
-Vitamin D
-B12
-B6
-Vitamin C
-Magnesium
-prescription heart meds for the pericarditis
-NAC
-Omega-3 1560MG (really good for inflammation/ebv)
-Liposomal Glutathione
-Alpha Lipoic Acid
-Zinc
-Turmeric (I also put fresh turmeric in my juice)
-Body bio products for brain/cognitive health
-Nerve supplements
-Green Vibrance
Also I am back to working out/running 4-5 days a week which really helps me feel better. On my off days I also do yoga. Hopefully it continues to stay this way, but at this point I don't know if anyone truly knows why this happened or what is going on in our bodies. I have had every test under the sun, so far besides the pericarditis the only wacky thing they found, was my bloodwork showing high EBV/inflammation/IGG, basically my immune system is in overdrive trying to fight this, or fight itself IDK! I am going to go back in the next couple months to see if any of those levels improved since its been almost 8 months since I had the VX.

You take all of that every day? If you were to take the most beneficial ones what would you take ? How are all your symptoms? Percentage wise what would you say you are?
Yes, all of that! haha... I work remote 4 days a week so it really helps, if I was in an office it would be impossible to stick to this diet...I would say the Zinc/Turmeric/Vitamin D/Omega/B12 and green vibrance would be the ones I stick with.
Right now I feel like I am at 80% I still get random pins and needles..my vision has not really improved but I think that also may be due to the pericarditis. When I work out I notice it the most where things/patterns look like they are vibrating its very annoying. I don't have any brain fog, nerve pain, or anxiety. Every now and then I get a muscle twitch or feel dizzy but its manageable. My arms and legs don't FEEL weak anymore, but anytime I lift (leg raises, arm raises with or without weights) they have a tremor. I really hope that gets better because it really is noticeable when I work out or do yoga, and I consider myself pretty fit and strong so that has always scared me. There was a time I could barely make it up my stairs, text on my phone, or hold my baby I was so weak with all of this, so I have to consider the positive that I made it past the worst of it.
- @kim-h thanks for your and encouragement. I am now 12 weeks after 3rd Pfizer shot and things had got a bit better since my last update a month ago but now have flared up again. Mainly pins and needles, tingling and numbness in feet, a bit of tingling in hands and the odd muscle spasm in my forehead. No tightness in chest or neck this time but a really persistent annoying itching in both lower legs from ankle to knee and sometimes an itchy feeling on my left side abdomen by ribs. The itching is really bad and can’t help scratching it but ITV gives no relief. I also wonder if maybe I have been exposed y to Covid 2 months ago when I spent a day at work with 2 people all day in meetings with no masks and I started to have these symptoms and strangely 3 days later both my fellow workers were positive Covid. I did antigen test everyday for a week but all negative but I can’t hago think it’s such a coincidence that my worst outbreak happens exactly at this time….
@sudek98 yes my symptoms have been coming and going for a long time. Sometimes a couple of weeks with no or very few sometimes then all of a dicen they come back again. How many shots have you had and which vaccine?
@kg1986 hi there! Your post was interesting to read particularly about the EBV, I too have had numerous tests and my EBV igg was extremely high. The theory is that you would’ve had this as a young child and as we know the immune system has a good memory, the vaccine may have induced a hightened immune response to what it thinks is another bout of glandular fever? (there may be similar pathogens in both Covid and EBV), this intern has caused your neuropathy, that is if you don’t have any other causes such as vitamin deficiency etc, although I too like many other had low vitamin D levels.
My symptoms started after my 3rd booster (mordena) and some started after my second (Pfizer) but I hadn’t attributed this at the time. I had POTS, and burning tingling and sharp sensations. At week 6 they slowly started to taper off, at month 3 I was feeling 95% myself again, I then picked up a stomach bug and at month 4 everything returned and worse than before.
I have had a skin biopsy by a reputable Dr who has seen other patients in the same boat, it came back positive for small fibre neuropathy, this essentially is what everyone here is dealing with. It is ofcourse important to eliminate any other underlying cause.
Treatment should be based on nerve regeneration and immune support, glutathione has been mentioned numerous times on this and other forums and I can say is scientifically proven to support management of neuropathy, everyone should add this to their daily intake as a baseline. God knows how long we’ll have to deal with this, for me it has been the most challenging period of my life, mothering a baby whilst questioning your existence has taken its toll.
wishing you all speedy recovery.
Hi, I know that medical professionals can help a lot, but if you're experiencing lingering symptoms, it might be a good idea to check with a physiotherapist to see if something else is going on. I've had some great results in my place, and they have a great team of physios who do a lot of physio activity to help with recovery.
