I got the second Pfizer shot on April 14th.  A couple of weeks later I noticed a buzzing sensation in my gut that was present most of the time.  Nothing major but felt weird.  A few weeks after that, I started getting intense pins/needles/tingling/prickling sensation (paresthesia), mostly in my hands and feet, but also mildly on my scalp, face, neck, and chest.  I also developed ringing in my ears aka tinnitus (mostly my left ear).  The tinnitus fluctuates in intensity but it's pretty much always there.  Anyone else have these symptoms?  Do they go away?  I really hope they are not permanent!  Since so much time has passed, I want to see a doctor. What type of doctor should I see?  A neurologist?

 Hello guys,

I am writing here as I am a bit worried because I’ve been having tingling for a week now and I am wondering if this can be a consequence of the vaccine.

First of all, I am not anti-vaccine at all, just anxious…

I had my 1st dose of Pfizer on the 14th of July. After the shot, I had the regular side effects (heavy arm, blower disorders, a bit of fever). Around 12 days later I started feeling a persistent tingling on my left leg (I had my shot on my left arm), tingling that the day after extended to my arm/hand and a couple of days later on my right leg/foot. Now the tingling is less persistent (more intense at night) but I am feeling both my legs very weak and heavy. I went to the Er and they said not a word about the vaccine but I did a neurological visit, that was alright.

Are you experiencing something similar? Is 12 days a timeframe that can be linked to the vaccine or is it too long?

Thanks

I have had the tingling and it in random spots all over my body, muscle twitches and cramping in calves. Also getting fatigued easily, flush off feeling like a feverish/sore throat almost, which to me is even more of a hinderance. Does anyone have something similar to this combo of side effects? When I went to the ER the only thing that was kinda off was maybe I have anemia I was not aware of, levels are borderline. I know the constant regret as I was not going to get it does not help me at all. I see me PCP on Monday

@jpgdubgmail-com hey Jean!
I totally get what you’re going through. For me, the itchy feeling comes first and then the pins and needles. Sometimes I feel each one in two different parts of my body. At first, I thought I was going crazy because all the people around me who took Pfizer were doing okay.
I try not to think about it because I feel whenever I start thinking about it I feel much worse.
I only had my first dose and my second is supposed to be very soon and honestl, I don’t know what to do..

@elisaalb89

Hello!! I have the same symptoms as you and I also started to feel paresthesia in my left leg after 12 days. The course of symptoms has been the same as yours. I already feel the same sensations in both legs, hands and even face. I've been like this for 5 weeks, after the first dose of pfizer. EMG and Magnetic resonance OK.
Has anyone been administered the second dose and can you share your experience?

Thanks!

@karlagliss Thanks Karla, I am going to see my GP in 2 hours but I am sure he won't believe me, especially when I'll say "I read online"...

It's everything started after 12 days for you?

The thing is that I should receive my second shot tomorrow and I am concerned that it's not the right choice.

@elisaalb89 my paresthesia seems to improve, but really slowly. It started some 7-10 days after the 1st pfizer shot. I got my 2nd shot 11 days ago. To be honest I don't regret I did it, because I am terrified of covid and its potential consequences... looks like we need to choose between two evils ;(

@elisaalb89 Hai.. I  got my second Pfizer job at 19th of July. At that, I felt pain on the upper arm where they put the needle in. But last sudany, 1st of August, about 2 weeks after the job, I started feeling tingling in my left foot, slowly spreading up to the left arm, and and now also on the right leg. And I also feel like my legs and arms muscles are so weak. I went to GP today, check my nerves, seemed fine.. She wasn't sure if this is the side effect from Pfizer though..

Wow, I can’t believe I’m just finding this now. Almost 5 months post second moderna dose. Started feeling numbness in my left foot and leg days after the 2nd dose. Progressed to my arm and now in my lower lip and chin. I’ve been for an MRI to look for Transverse Myelitis or anything that would indicate more serious things like MS. And so far nothing has come back indicating those things. Also went for blood tests and totally fine there. I don’t take any medications and am healthy.
I also have an appointment with a neurologist but not until September. I can’t tell you all how relieved I am to see this forum and that I’m not alone.
my symptoms seem to be subsiding some, so that’s also a relief. I still would not hesitate to tell everyone to get vaccinated. The alternative is much worse.

Take care everyone!

@nawpan I've had similar symptoms now for six months, post Pfizer.

Mine are just beginning to go away now.

Wow 6 months is a long time.  I have mine for 2 months now.  I am glad to hear your symptoms are going away!  Now I have mostly buzzing and vibration feeling, kind of annoying and I hope it goes away soon too.

I. have Pfizer, first shot 12/29. Second shot 1/19/2021

Around 1/20 I started having tingling, numbness in face, gums, hands, arms, feet & legs, sometimes my chest.

It has now been six months and it's just now starting to go away. I reported it to vaccine adverse event website of some kind. have seen a neurologist. He said it was a virus from the shot.

Thanks for the update, 6 months is a long time but at least it’s going away.  Mine is 2 months now.  I hope mine will go away soon too.  At least your doctor agreed that it’s from the vaccine. My doctor didn’t say much. He just said he’s not sure what’s going on.
