My life has changed so much, but I have learned to appreciate every good day and every good moment that I can do something.
It took 7 years to be diagnosed with Autoimmune Disease of the ear, which affects my vision, hearing loss, right ear few decibels left and the left a few more. May have to have cochlear implants. Insurance so far doesn’t cover that, balance, driving, reading, vertigo, nausea, vomiting, cognitive deficits, headaches, extreme fatigue, ear sounds from tinnitus, white noise or peoples voices distored, ringing. It’s never quiet up there. I have lost my job, I don’t drive very often, It took me 27 doctors to diagnose me properly. In Reno, I have become the only patient that has been diagnosed with it. My life has changed so much, but I have learned to appreciate every good day and every good moment that I can do something. VeDA has become a life line and that is why I want to help others so they don’t have to go through what I have. I consider this a gift that was meant to be to help others.
