Wanted to post an update:

3/29/21 - one and only Moderna shot.

Within one hour of shot, the left side of my body started to tingle and go numb, throat constriction, lip numbness, and heart palpitations. It resolved

in three hours. My reaction did not fit the “typical” adverse/allergic reaction criteria so I thought nothing of it.

Two weeks later, I had an “event” that consisted of a strange type of seizure, very rapid/high heart rate, dizziness, headache, feeling faint, and heavy legs. These events occurred multiple times a month for the first seven months post vaccination. I have no history of any illness/condition and was a healthy 34 year old.

Since the jab, I’ve struggled with these repeated events. I’ve developed blood sugar issues, digestive issues, vestibular issues, brain fog, and autoimmune issues. I’ve lost my job, dropped out of graduate school, lost contact with friends/family, and had a reduction in quality of life. My life has been altered.

Fourteen months from vaccination, symptoms have improved, I still have all of the issues previously listed, but they are less frequent and severe, and I am learning to manage some of them better. Here is what has helped me:

  • Anti-Inflammatory diet
  • Supplements targeted at reducing inflammation
  • ALOT of rest
  • Breathing Exercises
  • Vestibular Therapy

The most important thing that helped was time! I never though I’d improve. I have grieved my former self and all that I’ve lost, but as time goes on, things get better. I am hopeful that things will continue to get better. Where ever you are in this, keep going, do not give up! Find what works for you and helps your healing.

What supplements helped you the most ? Did you have any neuropathy type symptoms? What percentage would you say you have recovered?

Just a quick update from me.  First, I seemed to be getting better with my tinnitus over the past couple of months, with many days where I didn't really notice it.  Well, a week ago I started taking the SSRI anti-depressant Lexapro.  I took 5mg/day for 7 days and, lo and behold, I suddenly get a high-pitched tinnitus ringing in my head again.  The frustrating part is I don't know if this is just a relapse from before (due to the covid vaccine), of if it's a direct side effect of the SSRI. my stress was getting pretty high before starting Lexapro, so I guess it could be a relapse brought on by stress.  But there are numerous stories out there about getting tinnitus from SSRIs, even after only a few days, and that in many cases can be permanent.  So I'm back to square one with my tinnitus and unsure what the cause is this time.  Very frustrating.  Anybody else on this forum have a similar experience with SSRIs?.  Thanks.

I am a vegetarian and mostly ate a lot of cheese.

I started eating a lot of eggs.  I am noticing improvement.  I may start eating meat again.

EGGS:

  • Vitamin B12 (cobalamin): 9% of the RDA
  • Vitamin B2 (riboflavin): 15% of the RDA
  • Vitamin A: 6% of the RDA
  • Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid): 7% of the RDA
  • Selenium: 22% of the RDA
  • Eggs also contain small amounts of almost every vitamin and mineral required by the human body, including calcium, iron, potassium, zinc, manganese, vitamin E, folate and many more.

@pfizerinjured hi, I still have the same issue, some days are better than others, I just learned to live with it. I've ruled out any possible issue by visiting different specialists, I don't worry about it anymore. I could tell you that my life has been different since vaccination. I have not received any booster doses. Have you experienced any general skin issues? I'm not sure if I mentioned it in my original post. I have like this weird feeling all over my skin, like a slippery feeling. I hope you feel better. Take care.

Hi all:  Quick question - is anyone experiencing a relapse in symptoms, particularly tinnitus, during times of increased stress?  I can't tell if that's what's caused my recent spike or if it's related to starting a new SSRI (low dose/5mg Lexapro after just 7 days).  Thanks.

Thanks for your update. I share a similar timeline to you and my symptoms are also gradually improving. Although I still have dizziness, it has been much better recently and I've been feeling much better overall. Yesterday was actually 14 months since my second Moderna jab. Dizziness has always been my main issue. Here's to getting better with time!

I would like to share a link for a video about effective diet and supplements in ME/CFS, which could also be useful in case of side effects, especially when manifested with fatigue and post exertional malaise:

A video that I found interesting first of all because it presents a doctor (at minute 21) whose opinion is that the symptoms of Long Covid are explained by the reactivation of dormant infections, such as infections with EBV, Bartonella henselae, Legionella pneumoniae, Mycoplasma pneumoniae or Chlamydia pneumoniae, infections which also lead to the appearance of autoimmune phenomena:

thats what I am planning to do if I pass 18 months mark without some hope, but probably 2-3 beers will not be enough. All my life I tried to eat as healthy as possibe but if I dont see any improvement soon, this will change.

everyone was telling that by the 18th month we were supposed to get better, but now lots of people reaching 18 months without any improvement, makes me wonder if there is any hope at all.

In the last few weeks I started to feel a lot worse. I focused my research on apheresis, but unfortunately I could not find any mention of success with apheresis, in addition to that it is also very expensive. so apheresis seem to be a dead end. (at least for me)

I watched another DrBeen video where he recommends pd-1 blockers based on a research. According to the research he mentions pd-1 blockers show immediate results. So I tried to buy one but again they are sold by prescription. Since they are mainly used for cancer it seems impossible to get my hands on a pd-1 blocker right now. Any natural pd-1 blockers?? couldnt find one.

I still do have some hope. Why? because my vertigo and dizziness vanished for no reason. But other symptoms (hip and shoulder pain, twitches, vibrations)  are getting worser  by day. Also no symptom free days anymore, everyday is a struggle.

Will keep you posted. Just got my first covid infection after dodging it for 2.5yrs. Started this past Saturday morning and 4 days so far of very bad cold to mild flu symptoms. Starting to finally feel better on day 4. But now waiting to see if this causes any relapse of symptoms gone or worsening of my remaining BP (autoimmune) issue that until now was well controlled with meds.

@asanders Do You have any diagnosis from the rheumatologist? What about the symptoms? My symptoms are not improving - especially those related to bones, joints , muscles. Still creaky, popping joints..... Thank You!

Nope...rheoumatologist could not find anything wrong with me but later on I took my chances with on orthopodic doctor and he requested ANA test. When he saw my elevated ANA test results, he misdiagnosed me with Lupus. Later on he realized that Lupus diagnosis was a mistake but at least he told me that something is wrong and gave me some important information and he prescribed a cortisone injection.

He told me that it is usual for bone MRI or scintigraphy to show damage only after a few years of pain in many cases. So it is too early to be happy just because of I have a clean MRI.

He suspects what I am having is osteonecrosis which is different from osteoperosis. Osteonecrosis means dying bones. In my case probably the blood vessels feeding the bones are dying and the bones cannot get any food (blood). Same goes with my muscles. Since the problem is with the blood vessels,  neorulogical MRI also shows no damage yet, but it will probably follow by a year or so.  I can see my blood vessels are inflammed just by looking at my hand. I have intense hip, knee, shoulder pain.

My symptoms are also getting worse day by day.  I am 12 months in. Since May this year everything is getting worse. This is vasculitis, POTS, rheumatoid arthritis, MS, and several other diseases combined. I try not to lose hope but at some point my body will give up. I can see my blood vessels are turning to red from blue, my muscles turning to jelly, my bones are probably turning to sand, and my joints are all creaky like yours.

Up to know only thing that helps a little is prednisolone. No other drug/supplement helped.  Unfortunately  prednisolone also started to lose its effect in the last few months, which is sad.
