I am experiencing the same thing. My first Moderna shot was fine. After my second shot I thought I was fine until the 3rd day rolled around. I was sitting at my computer working and all of a sudden a dizziness came over me. It lasted all day and that night not really nauseous. I was sick for 2 days and went to the hospital twice until they finally diagnosed me with Vertigo. They gave me medicine for it but it is really only masking the symptoms. I am still dizzy and its been 5 days. I have appointments scheduled to see an ENT and my regular doctor next week. But I am really nervous that this will never go away. Has anyone gotten relief?

I am so glad I found this website. I had my first Pfizer shot on the April 9th and started to experience similar symptoms that everyone hear is mentioning 4 days later. I have dizziness, fatigue, joint pain, and a high heart rate. I got so dizzy this past weekend I ended up in the ER. Everything seems to check out alright. My main concern right now is my higher heart rate. Doing light activities cause it to hover around 110 to 120 and there are times I need to just sit down. And there are times it spikes for apparently no reason then goes back down after sitting down for a long time. I had to wear a halter monitor for two days and am waiting to follow up with PCP on Monday. Has anyone else experienced a higher heart rate and feeling like you are worn out doing small things? The dizziness has gotten a little better but it is still there. Also I have started to have mild joint pain. I welcome any suggestions people have. I’m willing to try anything at this point.

Hi, I’m new here and wanted to share my story...March 27th I received the Pfizer 1st dose vaccine...no problems...sore arm..that’s it. Well, 4 days later I started waking up feeling dizzy but it would dissipate in about and hour or so..ok, no problem. Then on April 5th,  I woke up dizzy but it wouldn’t go away. I had a dizzy spell at work, I left and went to Urgent Care (I was able to drive) the doctor said she saw fluid behind my ear drum, take some allergy medicine, it’ll help but you’re being tested for Covid. That test came back negative, went back to work on April 8th...bending up and down, looking up and down triggered the dizziness so I avoided doing that. This was annoying but thankful I could still function/work with care. Then on April 13th, I had a dizzy spell out of nowhere that scared me terribly! It happened at work while I was sitting at my desk..I totally felt out of it, it felt like I was going to fall out of my chair...I was afraid to walk and no way could I drive! This was so severe and lasted about 4 hours! I went to my PCP the next day and she prescribed me Prednisone. I was to take it for 2 days then stop for 4 days then on the 5th day start again for 3 days. Reason being was because I was scheduled for my 2nd Covid vaccine shot on 4/17, which I did get...doctor said to get it...So, on 4/15 after 2 doses of the steroid, my dizziness pretty much went away..my doctor felt that my symptoms are an inner ear issue (coincidentally I had Labyrinthitis last July). BUT on or around 4/16 (?) I started having vertigo but only when l’m laying down (sleeping). It happens when I flip sides..2 days ago I noticed worsening Tinnitus...getting louder, noticing it throughout the day..worse at night when I lay on my left side. I have an appointment with the ENT in 3 weeks...I really hope this is gone by then!!so I’ve labeled my symptoms as vertical dizziness which is pretty much gone and horizontal vertigo which is still going on...all’s I can say is that this is awful!

I should also mention that I have always had a higher heart rate just never this high before. Has anyone else had dizziness along with feeling like your heart is beating faster?

Two days after getting my second Pfizer vaccine, I noticed that my balance was not great while walking.  I thought that was due to anxiety from the vaccine side effects.  Now, apparently it is a Pfizer vaccine side effect.  25 years ago I suffered from vestibular neuronatis.  Over the years with yoga I have been able to manage the symptoms.   Apparently the covid vaccine triggers some past illness ..

I feel fine so far 4 days after second vaccine and whenever I feel like losing my balance I use my balancing control technique then goes away.

Thanks all for sharing.

David

@sunnyday Hello Sunny, I had the AstraZeneca vaccine coming up to nine weeks ago and I hate to tell you but I have had terrible headaches and giddiness with it. This week has shown signs of it fading, hopefully. Increased tinnitus too. Good luck!

So it's coming up to nine weeks on Monday since I had my first AstraZeneca vaccine. I have posted so many times 're my dizziness, headaches, aches and pains in my back, tinnitus etc. It's all been bad enough to not feel like going out. This week, Thursday, was the first day that I didn't have a headache or dizziness apart from a slight wobble late afternoon. I went out for a walk and did some shopping. Friday I felt some dizziness but not bad enough to stop me from pushing through it and I painted my garden fence with rest breaks in between. My back ached after but I am prepared to put up with the pain, it's the dizziness I can't stand. I have been taking Dramamine this week and I think it has helped me. I believe it is slowly getting better. 🙏

@lukenick Hi, I believe others here have had similar issues with increased heart rate after having the covid vaccine. You've had it checked out I understand and everything seems to be in order. I think all the side effects of the vaccine can cause anxiety and tension and this could be part of the problem. Have you tried slow breathing techniques to slow your heart rate down? You can find methods of doing this on the internet. If I feel stressed I do this and it brings my heart rate and blood pressure down. try not to worry about it because that will contribute to it. Try listening to relaxing music, mindfulness which you can find examples of on the internet. I find these useful too, and remind yourself that these side effects are only temporary.

OMG it is 8pm and my tintinnus   has diminished after five weeks. Hooray. There must be hope. Also my hubby and I are experiencing much less dizziness however more headaches. Ugh we, the ignored sufferers can’t give up. After six weeks hopefully our vaccines will give our antibodies a boost to protect us. STAY POSITIVE!!! it cAnt hurt but can help.

Hello everyone. I am a 24 year old male who has been living in constant pain since getting the 2nd Pfizer dose on April 7. For quick background info, I have been very susceptible to motion sickness in the past, but have never had it come up “on its own”. Anyway, starting that night, I had a brief episode of vertigo that quickly came and went. But everyday since then, I have been in a world of pain with constant nausea, dizziness, and a feeling of intense motion sickness that has not subsided. The severity of the nausea comes and goes as well, but it’s usually pretty horrific. I cannot stand the pain and it’s completely destroying me. As I may have had pre-existing vertigo, I am seeing an ENT next week, but this is just extremely rough. I am extremely sensitive to any movement and the pain is unbearable at this point. I was thinking maybe it had to do with inflammation in my inner ear due to the vac. Not sure.

I had my AstraZeneca vaccine 6 weeks back. Dizziness developed after first week and continued till last week. It used be 3-4 hours of dull spell most of the  days and I felt horrible , could not work and dizziness happened while lying down also. Checked with ENT - no vertigo or ear problem . Vaccination caused nervous system to be inflamed which took weeks to recover. Finally it got subsided and almost gone now. I will go for second shot now.

@gloriam Hi Gloria, that's great news about your tinnitus, hopefully you and your husband's headaches will diminish in time too. It's good that both you and your husband have gone through this together because you can share experiences and work through them. My husband has had two Pfizer vaccines with no ill effects apart from flu symptoms for a few days. My mother has had two AstraZeneca vaccines with only flu symptoms lasting a few days. It's not easy for them to understand my side effects. Best wishes to you both.

@rahtrip I had MRI and MRA which came back normal. At least I know I don't  have an AVM nor a tumor. Seeing a neurologist next week.

I'll add my two cents. I was diagnosed with meniere's disease about 8 years ago, in my 30s. I have chronic tinnitus and vertigo, but my symptoms have been stable since diagnosis. Moderna covid vaccine, first dose. Numbness of arm for about an hour, then arm pain for about 4 days. Nausea on day 1, then resolved. Day 6: tinnitus! It worsened so badly I couldn't hear my kids and spent the day asking them to repeat themselves. Day 7: vertigo, but not my typical vertigo. It was like microsecond dizziness, that just washed in and out of my brain all day. Visited local ENT, he dismissed any relationship between worsening symptoms and vaccine, but gave me a referral for a hearing and balance specialist. I'm now on day 26 after first dose, tinnitus slightly improved, but obvious hearing loss in right ear. Vertigo resolving, not gone. I'm afraid the second dose will make me deaf. Not getting it.
