I received my first Pfizer dose on 2/10- woke up on 2/28 with severe dizziness- not really vertigo more like unbalanced, feeling disoriented and drunk like. Went to ER and was diagnosed with vestibular migraine given toroidal, steroid and magnesium. Sort of helped but still very dizzy. Prescribed an anti inflammatory and meclazine took for 6 more days. By day 5 I felt much better. I was supposed to get my 2nd shot that Wednesday but postponed it by a week. I had an MRI, saw an ENT my neurologist, etc. I was concerned it was related to the vaccine but everyone assured me it was not. I scheduled my 2nd dose after my symptoms had subsided. Even though they were mostly gone I still had some lingering dizziness and focus issues. I got my 2nd vaccine yesterday morning and by last night the dizziness started coming back! I wish I hadn’t gotten the 2nd shot. I 100% believe this is an inflammation response to the vaccine and am getting another anti inflammatory prescription from my dr as well as a steroid. I’m going to start a low inflammation diet as well. I will let you all know how it goes. Good luck to everyone.
I had 2nd Pfizer shot and 5 days later experienced extreme dizziness this has been ongoing and I have a fuzzy headache and feel weird. sometimes during the day I think I feel better then it hits me again
one ear feels blocked and I have been using vick and inhaling as I thought maybe sinus problem
i am now thinking it was the vaccine as I have never had dizziness or brain fog before I feel as if I could just sit and stare
I always feel worse first thing in morning and I sleep on back so I don’t cause the room to spin
i am 63 take no medication and usually fit and healthy never get headaches ever
i am feeling slightly worried these symptoms will never go and we will just have to live with them
i didn’t want the vaccine in the first place and now wishing I had gone with my gut feeling and not had it.
@anneorninakeep us posted !! Good to have some support here.. knowing we are not alone. ❤you are right about the second shot.. trying to reschedule could be a nightmare. I get my second shot on 4-1.
@michaelktaking vit-c and vit-d. And zinc. Also sipping on a diet Coke for the nausea and headache. Which seem to be working really well.. fell alot better today day 8 of first moderna shot..
I experienced some dizziness after my first vaccine and that slowly increased after the second one. Two weeks and three days after my second vaccine I had sever dizziness. I took Meclizine and slept for 24 hours. I am a little better today. I have only had a few severe attacks over the last 40 years and have never done much to address it. My primary care physicians have always told me to take Meclizine and not worry about it.
@gianna1 I don’t know. But all my co workers, I’m a teacher, were vaccinated and most of my family and friends. Im the only one so far with this response and the only one with asthma and allergies. Since asthma’s typically an inflammatory response to an allergen, just wanted to put my feelers out to others here.
Yes, I've experienced the same loss of equilibrium many others have posted about. I've reported it on the HHS Vaccine Adverse Effects website. I suggest others do the same. The more data that is available the more likely it is a solution can be found. The reporting process needs specific data such as vaccine lot number, date and place administered.
My symptoms have improved today, the third day after receiving the second Moderna vaccine. I hope for the best for your side effects as well.
I received the J & J vaccine on March 5. I was very happy that it only required one shot. The night that I got my shot I woke up with the chills, a fever and I was extremely thirsty. My head and body ached all over. I woke up and still had a slight fever but felt like I got past the worst of it. Later during the day I started to feel the fogginess that some of you have experienced after being vaccinated. I also felt some ringing and pain in my ear. So I took some Tylenol and slept for most the day. The dizziness started on the 3rd day, it was so overwhelming that I could not get out of bed and go to work. Of course I started to become very concerned by this point. I could not seem to escape the spinning and the headache. By this point I decided to see my Doctor. The Doctor checked my ear and told me I have vertigo. Though he could not say if it was caused by the vaccine, I suspect the vaccine had something to do with it. So he prescribed a medicine used to treat Vertigo or motion-sickness. After taking the medicine I stopped feeling so dizzy and my world was not spinning. My head is still foggy and my arm is still sore where I got the injection. I noticed that I start to feel the vertigo when the medicine starts to wear off, so I take more and the dizziness/spinning subside for a few hours. Hopefully the vertigo will disappear completely as time passes.
