Oh my, you gave me a much needed chortle!! I didn't have a good chance to notice, since it got in my face so quickly and I turned my back on it ...why, do you think you may have met up with this bovine also?? 😂

Hi again @tabby - I get mixed up about when your UK night is. I have to do +hours to figure it out every time. I have specific times I can't seem to think clearly also. I just try to chalk it up to my brain being busy, working hard on getting well, I hope! Having red, swollen cheeks is the least of my issues and no other negative Medrol symptoms have appeared, I'm glad to report! I feel like I've plateaued as far as improvement goes, for now, but I'm glad to not be getting worse.

I wonder if you felt up to getting out to market today. I'm in the midwest USA and we get storms in the spring here. I'm just glad it's no longer winter! We say showers bring flowers! 💐

@thenystagmus I haven't had that pleasure lol. A white cow in a dream is a good sign of healing from illness, I'd love to dream of a white cow, preferably one that doesn't bite😁

@tabby - I had not heard that about white cows ...sure then, let's call Bossie white! Ahh, yes, she needs to be taught to keep her choppers to herself ...we can always hope!! A vaccine that caused no harm; now, wouldn't that be a welcome relief!

@thenystagmus Hi, it's 9.25 pm where I am, almost nearing my bed time and with cows on my mind I wouldn't be surprised if I too dream about them. That would be hilarious. I've had a horrible headache all day so I didn't do the shopping after all, did it online instead. Going to visit my mother tomorrow though a short drive away, about 40 mins. I know what you mean about battling with these symptoms. Some good positive stories here though which is very encouraging. If there was one symptom I could get rid of it would be the dizziness. I think I could put up with everything else. Pleasant dreams tonight!😃

My PCP wants to wait three weeks and then re-run all bloodwork. It could be part of an inflammatory response. My second dose was April 18th. The thyroid can be affected by inflammation, and my neurologist had heard of some patients having thyroid responses after the vaccine which is why he ran the test in the first place. Glucose levels can be affected by the thyroid. The vitamin D thing is weird though as my PCP pulled my last bloodwork and compared levels. How in the world would it have dropped so much especially when I did nothing different? My PCP is big on vitamin D levels. Thus why I have had optimal levels for years.

It's good you've gotten some reassurance that others have had vaccine thyroid responses and glucose levels can be affected by that! I've never had my Vitamin D tested before, but it was deficient at 14.1 at 2 weeks post vaccine. It's now gone to 51 after 7 weekly doses of 50,000 IU. After having normal thyroid levels for a lot of years off thyroid supplementation, I had a normal freeT4 level and a slightly elevated TSH of 5.5 when checked 2 weeks post vaccine. At 7 weeks my TSH had dropped to 3.92, into normal range. (For those not familiar with it, it's a paradoxical test - where high results indicate low thyroid and lower results indicate an increase.) With you, I hope your abnormal test results are temporary and will revert to normal when they're retested!

Hi,

Some good news today!  I got up slowly from bed and it was the first day in 25 days that I did not have vertigo!  I still have some dizziness, pain/tightness in my temples but I was happy not to have vertigo.  I went to the dr yesterday and he did the Dix Hallpike test on me and said that I had a "Grossly positive Dix Hallpike test on the right side".  This test is the gold standard for BPPV. I did have this same test 7 months ago after tinnitus started an it was negative. It's very coincidental that this started 5 days after my first vaccine and 13 days days after my second vaccine.  I have no history of vertigo prior to the vaccines.

Yes, it is an interesting fact that your vertigo started up for the first time shortly after both of your vaccines. I wonder if your doctor had any comment about that? Did he prescribe Epley maneuver for you? And has anything been tried that you would correlate with feeling better today?

Update.

1st dose Pfizer. April 16. Dizzy since 4-19. Doctor sent me to an ENT specialist yesterday. No one can find anything wrong with me. She said it probably is a reaction to the shot. Finally someone acknowledged this. Now I am just waiting it out. Hopefully this will end sooner than later. For now, no improvement. Dizzy pretty much all the time.

Hey, good to hear the improvement! I know you have been keeping track of people with vertigo and vestibular-related symptoms, but have you heard from people experiencing brain fog? I am experiencing brain fog-like symptoms -- like I am high or drunk -- which I have posted about but got lost in the thread and was wondering how people have done / how quickly they recovered. It's been a week since my symptoms appeared and 9 days since my 1st Pfizer shot (weird that I got such adverse side effects from the 1st shot). You seemed to have actively monitored this forum so wanted to ask. Thanks!

Update: Today is May 15, 2021. Dizziness is still very problematic and prominent. Have not been able to return to work since March. Has anyone else had their dizziness last so long?

I have been pushing myself to walk more.  My goal is 6-7,000 steps a day and some days I've gone over 8,000. I've tried to challenge myself to walk on uneven surfaces and take my headstrong dog with me on walks even though it's a struggle.  I also started high potency vitamin c this week and I've increased water.  I went out to dinner for my anniversary last night and felt my ear open up for a moment. My dr said to do the Epply maneuver 3 times a day.  I asked him about a vestibular therapist and he discouraged going at this point in time.

I will add to the list of vertigo stories....

I'm 35, male. First shot gave me extreme vertigo for about 15 minutes. It went away after laying down for a bit. I have had vertigo twice before from impacted ear wax so I figured that was the case. Went to urgent care and sure enough both ears impacted and cleaned them out. I thought that was the end of it.

Something that tipped me off that something wasn't right was, I had a routine blood test three days after first dose of Pfizer. Results came back with elevated ALT (liver function) which usually means liver damage or inflammation. I followed up with hepatology and they said probably was the vaccine but any inflammation can cause elevated levels...nothing to worry about yet.

Exactly three weeks AFTER my first vaccine I started to feel "dizzy", not vertigo or anything intense. Just feeling slightly off balance. I can still function and exercise but it's enough to be concerning. I went to urgent care, they tell me "allergies". I have NEVER had allergies in my life! so I call BS..

I went to ER because I have had afib before and needed to rule out stroke. After blood work, CT, EKG, everything is fine. I ask Dr about a viral infection and their response is "we only rule out serious issues"....like OK. I just spent 6 hrs in ER and feel stupid now thanks. If I had found this forum sooner I would have had an ENT check for viral stuff etc.

I remembered a friend of mine was feeling dizzy after her vaccine so I talked to her and she confirmed the same exact story as mine. 3 weeks later, same symptoms....There is something definitely affecting people here and if I had known about these effects I would maybe have opted out.

After reading all your experiences I'm hopeful this will resolve on its own. Hoping everyone has a speedy recovery!

@teresawarren40 Glad you're starting to feel better! It would be great if adding in doing the Epley maneuver to what you've already been doing would help get you back to your normal!
